How to send email alert to users from the query output ?

Hi all,
I intend to write a pl/sql to send email alert to user based on the following query output :-
Item_______Qty_on_hand________Min_qty______email
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
once run, I will like to distribute to those email id. How should I code that in pl/sql ? or any other better idea is welcome. Thanks.

finally I got a solution
Identified a workaround to solve the issue using SharePoint designer.
Step 1
Create a lookup list Example department
Columns
Title (by default) – Single line of text
Users – Person or Group
Emails – Multiple lines of text
hidden the Emails column (go to content type and set the column as hidden)
Create a SharePoint designer Workflow
Start Workflow automatically when an item is created
Also Start Workflow automatically when an item is changed
Workflow Stage 1
Set Emails to current Item: Users
The workflow will get all users email ids and add in the Emails column delimiter as semicolon.
Step 2
Create a custom list to get the email ids and send email
Create a lookup column ex: analysis and refer department list, Allow multiple values
Then Create a SharePoint designer workflow

I have created distribution list in SO23 with external email addresses.
How I can use distribution list in "Send Mail component" or I should use another component?
It works fine for a single email address. And distribution list works fine when I use it via SBWP.

Take activity step instead of Mail step. User fm SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send mail.
And use fm SO_DLI_READ_API1 to find list of user from distribution list. You can find how to use this fm in rule 30000012

How to send email alerts to others instead of only to yourself?

Where I work, we seem to have a problem with setting (email) alerts for upcoming events for others in the company besides yourself. We have one shared agenda, where we can all put events in. When I want to make an alert - a message or email alert - I can only choose my own emailaddress. Is it possible to send an alert to more users besides yourself?

Hi.. im using Pl/SQL code to send emails to the users from a dataset that is obtained in a databse table. i have used utl_smtp commands to establish the connection with the smtp mail server. im stuck at the logic when i have to include the message body which is actually the result set of a table.. How to send mails in HTML format from the send mail step of workflow?

Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to send mails in the html format from the send mail step of the workflows.
But what I found out that the html tags are not renderd and as such the output is in plain text.
I know that there is an alternative of using an activity step and use my own custom code from within there,But due to certain business constraints, I need to use the send mail step only.
My SCOT settings are all right.
Please let me know how it can be done.

Emails Retention and Re-sending emails after a while from the appliance

I need to know if it would be possible to keep track of the whole email in the appliance not only the message tracking (which contains the Processing details only without the email Body)
And I also need to know if it is possible to resend an email from this backup to a user after a while. For example after 1 month, I need to search in the email retention for a specific email and resend it to the mail server.
Other Vendor are able to do it using the message log, but I am having a hard time finding a solution for that on the cisco email security appliance

For our products we currently do not have any retention mechanism such as this. The appliance is not meant to be a mail retention system.

How do you get an xml file from the PO Output for Communication report?

Can anyone tell me how you've created an xml output fil for this program? When I run it, the View XML button doesn't light up, and the output file is empty.
I can see the XML when I click the View Log button, but can't figure out how to save it so that the XMLP Desktop tool can load it properly.
If you can tell me how to create this file, I'd be very appreciative.

I can't see the xml in my log file. Maybe you have a different logging level. One issue I have had before is that the xml declaration had a strange character encoding. It should say something like: <?xml version="1.0" ?>. If it mentions anything about encoding you can remove it.
One of our developers wrote a custom process to write the xml to a table when the document was generated as we couldn't find any other way of doing it.
You can use the sample xml available from the data definition but this is missing fields.
Probably not much help...

Is this "other domain" you are talking about just an SMTP domain, or a Windows domain? If the former, and there is a messaging system they can receive with, you can just send (though you may need a send connector). If the latter,
is it in the same Windows forest? If so, you need to prepare the domain for Exchange (using Setup /PrepareDomain). You can then add that domain to your Accepted Domain list (in the Organization configuration, Hub Transport role) and create
mailboxes for these users. Once the have mailboxes, they will receive email. Until all of this happens, they won't be able to get mail.

I think......in RHEL AS 3 ...... it will be different to edit the sendmail.mc file
because when enter
dnl define('SMART_HOST','mail.nhm.com.sa')dnlit becomes same as the commented line.
if i enter like below....
define('SMART_HOST','mail.nhm.com.sa')dnlits like a working command line.
i think to comment a line in .mc file we have to enter "dnl" instead of "#"

Remove leading zeros
Also check if there is any conversion routine used for that particular infoobject.
If ALPHA conversion is selected for your infoobject then it will automatically take away the leading zeros at query level.

[SOLVED]How to send email to a local user?

I have installed Mutt, msmtp, procmail and I can send and receive emails to/from remote hosts and I'd like to send email locally also (to the recipients on the same machine as the sender).
When I try to send email to a local user from the root account -
echo "Test message" | mail -s "Test subject" localuser
then I get an error that connection to the port 25 is refused. Because the /etc/msmtprc file contains the 'localhost' as the default account's host, and on the local host I don't have a mail server listening on 25 port running.
When I try to send email from a non-root account which has in /$HOME/.msmtprc file a real email account on a remote server, then of course there is an error that the domain for the email address 'localuser' is not recognized.
How can sending email to local users be enabled?

If I understand correctly, postfix it's a constantly running daemon. Seems to be an overhead for delivering only from time to time sent messages.
