How to sent document directly to email in pages?

In word or openoffice one has the option (right button click, or in the menus) to directly sent the open document to a email recipient. How can i do the same in Pages?

well, that's not entirely true. You can send a pdf to mail directly, at least in pages 2, part of iWork'06 and under Tiger.
Choose print. in hte lowerr left corner of the screen will be a roll down menu for PDF. One of the selections in the roll down menu is to mail the pdf, which will generate a pdf file that you can email.
I don't know if there is a limitation on the Pages version or the Operating System version, but try it and see if it will suit your needs.
dwb was right though, pages will not email a Pages document to a recipient so they can open and edit it in Pages directly from within the program. Pages documents are not quite the same format as Word documents. You would have to save the document, compress the file and then email it.

    You can't. You can export Pages files as PDF documents but you cannot save a PDF into Pages. It does not support that feature.
    There are tons of PDF apps in the App Store aside from iBooks. Adobe Reader makes a pretty decent PDF app that will store, annotate, rename, highlight, use form fields, sign pdf's, and organize in folders. It is free as well. There are other apps, you just have to Serach for them.

    Maybe. Keep in mind HTML was never made for print. It's quite possibly the worst medium you could choose for print. You won't be able to establish page breaks or even draw consistent boxes. In short, I estimate the probability of success in creating an org chart with an HTML template to be somewhere around 1%. I just don't want to see you spend an absurd number of hours trying to build something that's really not possible.
    With that said, here are a few options to consider:
    - Microsoft Word and Visio both have Org Chart functionality, though I'm not sure if you can populate it with data from a database. This would be an offline solution wherein one of the developers would, on a periodic basis, generate a new version of the org chart, export it to PDF, then post it as a static file.
    - Oracle BI Publisher supports Word shapes for templates, including Org Charts per this documentation:

    though I think it might take effort to get the template to work. At least the output medium (PDF or RTF) is made for print.
    - GraphViz (http://www.graphviz.org) is the most promising online solution I can think of. It's a command-line tool, so you would need to
    -- generate the data in a file and output that to the file system of the database server (UTL_FILE)
    -- call the command-line utility via a dbms_scheduler job, since you need call an OS utility from inside the database
    -- provide a link to the output of graphviz.

    Does anyone know how to insert the pagenumber from the first page in a indesign-document, on a page of choosing? I can only find how to add a document last-page as a number.
    Example:
    A document with page 10-20.
    On page 3, 4 or 13 I would like to have a footer that says "Document XYZ - Pages: 10-20".
    Any ideas?

    This is not intuitive,, but should work...
    On the first page add a small text frame anywhere and insert a fame break character. Now thread that frame to the one where you want to have your start page number, wherever that happens to be in the document. In this new frame enter a Special Character > Markers > Previous Page Marker.
    The down-side here is this is not a variable, so if you want to have more than one frame like this you need to set up each one the same way with its own linked frame on the first page. In sush a case I thnk it would be more practical to just enter the start page number manually, perhaps as a custom text variable that you can edit in one place if the start number needs to change.

    Highlight the link, use mailto: in the link properties field followed by your real email address.

    That said, this won't work for everyone.  Only people with an email client installed on their web device will be able to contact you this way.  And you will eventually get tons of spam mail. So get a 2nd email account.
    Scripted Contact forms are a much better way for people to contact you.  And you get better protection from email harvesters and spam bots.

    Here's another suggestion; a method that I use frequently. I prefer to send and to receive PDF files rather than WP files, unless of course the recipient is expected to edit the doc. If this suits you, you can: File > Print > PDF > Mail PDF. An email message will open with the PDF already attached.
    This eliminates the finder activities.

    Hello,
    In the sendmail step of the workflow, use the option of email address for 'Recipient type' and provide the workflow container element which has the external mail address of the user to whom the mail is to be sent or directly the email address directly. Then contact the basis people to check for any scheduled background job to send the mail from SAP to external mail address. If there is no job present, advise them to create one.

    To protect individual's addresses, I often use BCC when sending an email to many contacts so no one sees the other email addresses. However, I would like to keep a copy of the email I sent WITH the addresses so that I can document that the email went to them. Being a teacher, it is important to be able to show the students that indeed I did send them an email.

    I was an Adobe SendNow Outlook user until early this morning, when I had to send an important document for a meeting this morning. SendNow for Outlook informed me that it  just retired, and so I was directed to this Adobe Send cloud version.   I was able to go in and send my document. And later I found the new Adobe Send Outlook plug-in.
    But in the meantime, my recipient has not yet retrieved the document (according to the status). I'm wondering how I can verify/see the email I sent through Send. I don't see anything in the Adobe Send Cloud interface that allows me to see either the recipient email address or the text of the email. This seems to be an important component missing. Or am I missing something?

    The biggest disappointment for me with iOS7 is the inability to attach word, excel and pdf documents directly to a mail in the Mail App instead of attaching them from the app you are using at the time. This is a serious flaw and Apple must by now know that attaching video and pictures is not all that users of their devices do. Surely they need to take this aspect seriously if they want to be taken seriously by business customers!

    This is quite possible.
    Actually, before approving or rejecting, the manager has to get email from other approvers who dont have access to SAP or Portal.
    How these approvers are notified about workitem?
    However, you can make use of decision step to approve or reject.
    When Manager will open the work item ,SAP standard functionality can be used to  attach file , here manager can select word file format and attach the required file. then he can approve or reject it.
    This file would be saved as instance of SOFM object and a background method would be required if you want to read the contents.
