How to set autocommit false in Oracle Weblogic console?

Hi All,
While invoking the oracle Ebiz custom package from Oracle SOA 11g BPEL we are getting below error:-
java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-02089: COMMIT is not allowed in a subordinate session.
Wondering if there is some properties through which we can set the autocommit false on the Oracle Weblogic Console.
Highly appreciate any pointers for the same.
Thanks in advance.

Yes I did set global transaction (XA) up in the db adapter. True, there are couple of commits in the API and from outside BPEL that works fine, the error i am getting when trying to access the API through BPEL. I am calling this only API from the BPEL.
Do you think there needs to setup explicit "autoCommit=false" somewhere in the weblogic console?

  • How set autocommit=false with container transactions?

    Hi all!
    A'm using EJB's with transaction attribute=Container.
    This is simple scenario:
    call Session Bean
    begin transaction
    call EntityBean1 {
    database update 1
    call EntityBean2 {
    database update 2
    end transaction
    return from session bean
    The problem is:
    when update2 fails update1 not rolling back.
    A know, that solution of this problem is set AUTOCOMMIT=FALSE in Connection, but how do this with container transactions? Point me exactly to place, where this can be done, if this possible. Or may be no general solution (I.e. Each case demands it's own approach.)?
    (I can't directly call method of Connection object because of transaction managed by container)
    Tnx a lot.

    Hi there,
    I have the same problem with Orion and NuSphere MySql.
    When I define a container-managed transaction, the autocommit mode is not changed.
    I have a session bean for which I set the transaction attribute to REQUIRED and two entity beans for which the transaction attribute is SUPPORTS in the ejbjar.xml file.
    The session beans calls the two entity beans and makes some modifications on them like for instance removing them from the database.
    When I check whether a transaction can be rolled back, for instance by putting in my code a loop that never ends and then stopping the server, it seems my application is running in autocommit mode. No rollback is done.
    This is very strange.
    The two entity beans are stored using gemini tables which permit rollbacks. So when I start a transaction inside mySql using sql statements, I can do a rollback without problem.
    Any idea of what's going wrong ?
    Dimitri.

  • How to set lock level in Oracle

    Does oracle have the similar way to set the lock level as SQL Server, say I have a statement in SQL server like:
    update tablename with (rowlock) set....
    How to convert it to an oracle statement

    Update statement automatically places a row level lock, so no extra statements (and/or steps) may be necessary.
    You could optionally do a SELECT ... FOR UPDATE ...

  • How to set the language of oracle universal installer

    Hi all,
    I have downloaded oracle9i database release 2 Enterprise/standard/personal edition for windows. so I got the them into 3 different folders as said in the oracle site. I have few questions.
    1.i have installed oracle using the universal installer, but my operating system is winxp german version.I want the installer to be in english so that i can easily navigate, how can i set the language. Does the installer automatically detects the OS and chosses the language.

    3. I am totally confused with SID, how to set it and what does it indicate(functionality).
    4. The login for SQL PlUS, i used scott and tiger. Because i think the installer did not installled completely, i could not create my own username/password. What will be the host-string while logging to sqlplus.

Does the installer automatically detects the OS and chosses the language.From the control panel, regional setting, make default for English (United States) and English as default language. While installing oracle from OU, choose only english langauge.

How can i use these scripts for querying using the installed database.Once you have installed oracle and create database, make sure the following and then run your scripts.
    1. Check oracle services are started or not from the windows services. If yes, then do step 2, else, start services first and then do step 2.
    2. set oracle_sid=your_database_name
    3. sqlplus /nolog -- when you give this command, if you get reply that connected to idel instance, then, your database is not up, in this case, startup your database after step 4. (startup)
    4. connect / as sysdba
    5. run your script to create schema.

    6. connect username/password --
    7. run the script (insert records)
    3. I am totally confused with SID, how to set it and what does it indicate(functionality).ORACLE_SID is nothing bur your oracle database name. You will be asked to provide the database name while installing and creating oracle database.

    Hi Sachin
    You need to have a load balancer or web server in front of your weblogic server cluster.
    This is really a tunning excersise, so you need to try several options depending on the load of the enironment, however robin robin (default) should work for you.
    You can see more details here:

  • Cannot set node manager password in weblogic console (10.3.3)

    Hi,
    I've been trying to configure a custom AD authenticator in the weblogic console for 10.3.3 and get Invalid pad byte on the node manager password when it tries to activate my changes. After trying several things suggested in other forums, I went into the weblogic console, under domains->security, changed the node manager user and password, and still get an Invalid pad byte on the password I entered! Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Julia Allen

    Well that didn't work :( . I went into config.xml and changed <node-manager-username> and <node-manager-password-encrypted> to clear text, restarted, went into the console and tried to change the node manager username and password in Domains-->Security-->Advanced and still got invalid pad byte on the password I entered when I saved. Interestingly enough when the page came up the value for node-manager-username was the old value... not the one I changed in config.xml before I started the server. I verified that I changed the correct config.xml. When I looked at it after restart, the values had not been changed to encrypted values. And, yes, production mode is false. So I'm guessing a cache problem somewhere? Or a corruption in one of the other security files that I cannot determine?
    One thing I did try was to reset the admin password following steps I found in other places (e.g. renaming ldift/initialized/properties files, running java weblogic.security.utils.AdminAccount) but nothing. Still the same problem. Also note that the server starts just fine... the console just barfs with this invalid pad byte error whenever I try and configure that AD provider or actually try and change the node user name and password.
    Any other ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated!

  • How To Integrate BPEL Process Into Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi All,
    I have bpel process which which has db adapters and Human Work Flow. I need to integrate this bpel process [ created using Oracle SOA Suite 10131] with Oralce weblogic portal 10.3
    Please let me know how to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Irfan Khan

    Hi All,
    I tried to call my BPEL Process thru JSP.
    This is how my JSP looks like:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"
    pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.NormalizedMessage" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.dispatch.IDeliveryService" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <title>InvokeHelloBPELProcess</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%
    String name = request.getParameter("name");
    if(name == null) name = "HelloBPEL";
    String xml = "<name xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com\">"+name+"</name>";
    // Connect to the default BPEL domain using Locator
    // Please set the password (bpel is initial password)
    Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "welcome1" );
    IDeliveryService deliveryService =
    (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService
    (IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME);
    //Construct the normalized messaged and send it to the oracle BPEL PM
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage();
    System.out.println(" -=-=-=-=-=-=-= XML: "+ xml);
    //attach the payload to the NormalizedMessage
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
    //Post the message to the HelloBPEL process
    deliveryService.post("HelloBPEL", "initiate", nm);
    out.println("The BPEL process HelloBPEL initiated!!!");
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Now once i invoke this JSP page I am getting the 500 internal server error.
    The error message is :
    java.lang.Exception: Failed to create "ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean" bean; exception reported is: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'ejb.collaxa.system/DeliveryBean' didn't find subcontext 'collaxa'. Resolved 'ejb'; remaining name 'collaxa/system/DeliveryBean'
    Here I have some doubts:
    1) If xml payload that I am passing is correct?
    2) In Locator, do I need to pass 'domain' along with 'password' as my password or it will always be "bpel". i.e.,
    a) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", <password> );
    OR
    b) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "bpel" );
    Please let me know how to solve this error. I doubt that my xml payload constructed is wrong. could you tell me what is the correct xml payload for below BPEL process WSDL file:

  • How to set Transaction isolation level in Weblogic 11g

    How do I set the transaction isolation level in Weblogic?
    Some references that I found suggest that I have to explicitely state the isolation level in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml per ejb. If I am using EJB 3.0 why would I need to do that?
    Can I set this up as a property in the JDBC datasource setup?
    Other application servers like Websphere actually allows for this. Can this be done in Weblogic?
    Currently I get the following message if I don't set the isolation level:
    Transaction attribute: TX_NOT_SUPPORTED Isolation Level: No Isolation Level Set Tx Timeout: 30000
    What seems to be happening is that one update of my transaction is getting rolled back and other consequent calls are failing due to foreign key issues due to the first rollback.
    I think the issue is related to the isolation level or the transaction time out being too low.
    Any ideas?
    BTW: I am using openjpa and using a MS SQLServer. Not sure if that helps the discussion.
    Thanks

    Just like any command, you can run it from anywhere as long as the directory is in your PATH.
    But actually, you should be setting this in your profile, so that you just inherit it when you log on to the server. Depending on your OS, that would be either $HOME/.profile or $HOME/.bash_profile. Here are the commands you should have in that file:
    export ORACLE_HOME=pathtoyouroraclehomedirectory
    export ORACLE_SID=nameofyouroraclesid
    export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$PATH>
    well I have this infor. with me
