How to set/get the archive file attribute?

I am programing a (freeware!) ftp client and need to know, how to set/get the archive attribute of a local file. I was searching through whole the i-net - nothing at all!
please help me!!

Since not all operating systems support the archive attribute, this ain't included in the JDK.
If you're using Microsoft Foundation Classes for Java, then you can use File.getAttributes(String path) and check whether the result equals FileAttribute.ARCHIVE.
For setting the attribute, you can use
File.setAttributes(String path, FileAttribute.ARCHIVE)
Of course this is all Microsoft-specific stuff.

2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?

I create separate folders based on the year and then the actual date of when I take images. You can make those folders anywhere on any hard drive that is connected to your Mac whether internal or external. I also use the Photoshop Photo Downloader that is included with Photoshop/Bridge and it will create the date folder so all I do is create a Year folder.
Open Bridge or click on the Bridge icon in PS and in the File menu item in Bridge select "Get photos from Camera". It can be a camera connected to your Mac or a memory card from a camera. A window will open and you then select the camera or memory card. Set the location they will be downloaded to, just the folder and you can Browse to a folder that you created, then in the "Create Subfolders drop down select what date stamp you want to use or or custom name or not to create subfolders at all.
I've never cared for iPhoto one bit. I tried it but found it way to restrictive. It likes to have full control over how you interact with your images.

There are two Office versions: Office for Windows, and Office for Mac.
I suspect that you have downloaded Office for Windows, and you can use it if you install Windows, but a cheaper and easiest way to use Office is to use Office for Mac, so you won't have to install Windows. See > http://www.microsoft.com/mac

As Ray described, the FindFile expression function and TS API method will seach all TS search directories and return to you the path of your file, assuming the file is located in the search directories.
If you just want the path of a TS file that you have a reference to then there is a faster, easier method. You can use the Path property of the PropertyObjectFile class. In the attached example I use an AcitiveX Automation adapter step to call Path on the property RunState.SequenceFile. This returns the path to the current executing sequence file. Note that if you have not yet saved the sequence file then the path will be empty. In a subsequence step I strip off the file name leaving the root path of the file.

In OSB file protocol, trying to get the archived file name in proxy service

Hi,
I have a requirement that i need to process the archived file of file protocol, with java callout in proxy service.
I am able to get the file name which is reading with 'tokenize($inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/tp:headers/file:fileName,"\\")[last()]' , but this file is getting archived to archive folder. I want to pass the archive file name as input to the Java callout.
Please let me know if this can achieve in OSB proxy or any other options.
Note : I am reading a xlsx file in the file protocol

If you're using pass by reference option in the file transport, I guess the archive filename can be obtained from $body/ctx:binary-content/@ref. Try it out.

Bought new camera to work with Raw images in CS5 but file would not open so I downloaded latest update. It only allowed me to save in a file ( could have OPENED instead of saving so I don't know those results). How do I get the new download to work in CS5?

I wanted to check the trace file to make sure that there is no login attempts happend through the forms with wrong username and password.
how can i enable the trace file , where i have to write the commands and where i can see the trace file.
I'm using oracle forms 6i

This link is all about forms 9i, i'm working on forms 6i. but i have tried with following values
TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT=16
TRACE_UNIQUE_CLIENT=TRUE
TRACE_FILE_CLIENT=Test
TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT=c:\orant\net80\trace
in sqlnet.ora file and it created a trace file whenever it connected to database through the on_logon trigger.
if the username or password is invalid then the validations raise the form_trigger_failure exception. so there was no trace file. so i was unable to get the trace file to see the invalid login attempts.

Since you say "purchased some karaoke albums using itunes," I thought your question was about the iTunes Store. If you are asking about commercial Karaoke CDs, you cannot use them in iTunes.
so they are not cdg just mp3 backing tracks ??
The ones from the iTunes Store are instrumental backing tracks in AAC format.

now we want to set/get the values of these usermapping fields of system object thru webdynpro coding...

My requirement is exactly as follows.
1) i have created one portal system object in system administration and also i created usermapping fields in the system object from the usermanagement in system object.
i created the user mapping fields like Plant,SalesManager,District etc.
i also created the system alias name for the same system object
2) Now i came to persoanlize link and mapped the system object to the portal user.
while mapping to the system object we need to enter Mapping userId, Password , once we enter these values and we can also enter the values of usermapping fields which we defined while creating the system object ( for example District,Salesmanager,Plant etc)
once we enter all the values and click on save then these usermapping values to be mapped to the portal user.
3) Now my requirement is , i want to control the usermapping field values thru webdynpro coding for setting/getting the values.
I need sample code of the same.
Please let me know if u need more details on the same.

Are you saying that your PDF documents on your iPad/iPhones are lost because you updated Apple iTunes (not Adobe Reader)? Do you see anything in the Documents or Recents section of the Adobe Reader home screen?

Try data rescue or some other program. However, before proceeding turn off TM and avoid that muck up the next time you connect. AFAIK, however, it shouldn't have happened without a dialog box popping up allowing you to not use it for TM.

Online Consistent brbackup - How does SAP lock the archive files?

With an Oracle online consistent brbacup, i believe that SAP locks the archive log files so they are not deleted during the backup.
How do they do this?
If a backup crashes how do I unlock these locks?
