How to specify a new OHS - oc4j application binding ?

I have made the default installation of ias 9.0.2 with OHS and OC4J.
What I want to do is :
three entry points:
80 (http)
443 (https)
444 (https+client auth)
and three apps on oc4j
A, B, C
This would work this way
80 /A /B
443 /A /B
444 /B /C
I know that this setup has to be done with the OC4J mount (it is like JkMount from AJP with Apache-Tomcat)
But, how should I do it?
Is there a management application to do it, or should I do it manually (editing httpd.conf and dealing with different OC4J instances) ?
Maybe I if make it at hand some gets broken !!
Hope to hear from you :)

This should be done using Enterprise Manager. When you deploy an application using EM it automatically binds to an URL.

  • How to specify -userThreads in standalone OC4J

    I'm running standalone OC4J v10.1.3.2.0 on a linux machine.
    When trying to use a servlet which creates it's own thread, I receive an error message asking me to start oc4j with -userThreads option.
    I've tried to start oc4j with this option but it complains that it's not a valid argument.
    I start oc4j using oc4j -start normally.
    Is this something which needs to go into server.xml or do i need to edit this control script ?

    Hi Andy --
    It's actually a command line switch:
    $java -jar oc4j.jar -userThreads
    I'm not sure why its not encompassed within the server XML file.
    There's no apparent place you can easily specify this and have it work with the oc4j.sh script you are using, but you could tack it onto the CMDARGS local var that is set
    set CMDARGS=-config "%SERVER_XML%" -userThreads
    Or if you are a shell scripter, then change the script to pick up CMDARGS based on what is set as an ENV var or another element settable in the script -- like how the JVMARGS is done.
    In the meantime, just start OC4J directly from the j2ee/home directory with the -userThreads switch
    $java -jar oc4j.jar -userThread

    Hi,
    can any one help me how to create a new workspace in application express 3.1 on XE DB and how to change the name of a existing workspace.
    thanks
    Jana

    Jana,
    This is discussed at length in the User's Guide. See the section "Creating Workspaces".
    To rename a workspace using the admin application, edit the workspace attributes and type a new name in the field where the old name appears, then Apply Changes.

The normal thing to do with the reference would be to assign it to a variable. Then your application could use the variable, which refers to the factory, to do those things which it is supposed to do.

    I really need your help

    I agree with Mr. Hall that using mx.controls.Alert in Flex may be a better route.
    Show the Alert like this:
    // show an alert with a question and yes and no choices
    Alert.show( "Would you like to go to the Adobe Forums?", "Question",
         Alert.YES | Alert.NO, this, closeHandler, null, Alert.YES );
    Then handle the response in the closeHandler() function:
    protected function closeHandler( closeEvent:CloseEvent ):void
    if( event.detail == Alert.YES )
         navigateToURL( new URLRequest('http://forums.adobe.com'), '_self' );
    else if( event.detail == Alert.NO )
         // they chose no
    The following documentation on Alerts may be helpful:

    I generally like to avoid add-ons, and the second option is still an extra step - not opening tabs to the homepage, as requested (rather how to switch to your Home page after a tab opens to the blank page).
    Here's a wild idea: How 'bout a setting option in Tools > Options > Tabs for "Always open new tabs to my Home page" ?

  • How to create a new push button in application tool bar in GMGRANT thru BDT

    Dear SAP Gurus -
    We have a requirement in 'GMGRANT' transaction. We need to create a button in the application tool bar of 'GMGRANT' transaction. Once the button is activated, if the user clicks on the button then it will go to a new screen (external screen). User can input data in to the external sceeen and upon saving, the data will be stored in to a custom table and when user clicks on 'back ' button user should come back to the GMGRANT transaction.
    Just wanted to know, how to create / activate a new button on application tool bar of GMGRANT transaction and what are the configuration and detail steps to achieve the same through BDT.
    We went through a lot of documents on BDT but do not have a proper solution.
    Could you please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    hi,
    You can find user-exits (menu exits) to add new menu item.
    But, there is no possibility to add new buttons on application tool bar.

  • How to create a new application user by my application?

    Hello,
    I want to give the user of my application the possibility to create a new application user if necessary. The creation of a new user should be realized in my application. I tried to find the answer in the apex user guide, but I haven't found it. Can somebody tell me how to create a new application user in the implemented application (one page in application for creating users for my application)?
    Thanks,
    Bettina

    Hello Bettina,
    You can do that using the API: www_flow_fnd_user_api.create_fnd_user. If you look at that procedure in SQL Dev (or TOAD or whatever you like), you can see an example and the description of the arguments.

  • How to configure a new service in SICF & create a BSP Application within it

    I created a service called zappl under the default_host. The goal is that new customer BSP applications be create within it. So, these applications don't get together with SAP applications (sap/bc/bsp).
    However when I try creating an application, the system tries creating automatically a node in the SAP node (sap/bc/bsp). As I don't have permission in this node, the application isn't created.
    In SE80, I put /zappl/ prefix before the name application, but the system didn't accept.
    Does anyone work using that method?
    Regards,
    André

    Sergi,
    I've had asked them to give me permission, however the admin team wants to separate the customer applications from SAP applications, creating them in another node under the default_host root.
    I have permission to create new nodes within node /zappl/. I created a node zbsp_test and defined CL_HTTP_EXT_BSP as handler. Then, I created an application called zbsp_test too, however I don't get link the application to the recent node. SE80 tries creating it in /sap/bc/bsp. I even tried put /zappl/ before the application name, but it is considered an invalid name.
    Thanks for your suggestion.

    How to specify a mapping file using annotations?
    Thanks
    tdeer

    We you codegen a Policy annotated WSDL, the policies are get included in the stub. Hence you don't have to specify a separate Policy file.
    But if you need to use a separate policy then you need to set them in the AxisDescription object that you use in the ServiceClient and OperationClient.
    e.g.
    ServiceClient serviceClient = new ServiceClient();
    OperationClient operationClient = serviceClient
    .createClient(ServiceClient.ANON_OUT_IN_OP);
    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream("path-to-policy.xml");
    Policy servicePolicy = PolicyEngine.getPolicy(fis);
    AxisService axisService = serviceClient.getAxisService();
    axisService.getPolicyInclude().setPolicy(servicePolicy);

  • How to specify the target name while deploying a code in OSB-- Plz Help

    Hi all,
    Am working in creating a cluster environment. For my testing i created a new managed server(OSB_Server) in 9001 port in the admin console itself and that server started running. The default managed server(Admin_Server) is in 7001 port. So when i deploy a code in 7001 sb console the WSDL gets exposed in 7001 because the default admin server port is 7001. While deploying a code in service bus admin console we are not specifying the target name. So how to specify the target name while deploying the code in service bus admin console. Plz help me.
    Regards
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
    There are three kind of server architecture possible for OSB -
    1. Single server - Everything gets deployed on Admin server itself
    2. Admin Server + Single Managed Server for OSB -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB managed server. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB managed server port only and NOT on admin server port
    3. Admin Server + OSB cluster -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB cluster. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB Cluster port(s) only and NOT on admin server port
    Converting one type of server architecture to any other type, requires a manual tedious process, so it is suggested that you create domain accordingly i.e. if you need clusters then while creating domain itself, create OSB cluster, so that all OSB applications gets deployed to OSB cluster. I will suggest you to create a clustered domain from scratch and import the configuration from your existing domian to this new clustered domain.

  • Applescript : how to create a new numbers document

    I know you have to use +make new+ command. But how to specify the path and name. I tried +at, properties+ nothing helps.
    My code:
    *tell application "Numbers"*
    * make new sheet at "Macintosh HD:Users:Nimmy" with properties {name:"test"}*
    *end tell*
    I get an error "Numbers got an error: Can’t make "Macintosh HD:Users:Nimmy" into type location reference". I don't know what should follow (isn't +location specifier+ path to the file?). I would be grateful for anybody who can help.

    (a) it seems a bit odd to try to make a sheet before making a document.
    (b) I assumes that to make a document the location would be a folder, not a string
    (c) to make a document, it would be useful to pass a legal document's name "test" is not one of them.
    I tried with
    make new document at folder "Macintosh HD:Users:yvan_koenig:Desktop:" with properties {name:"test.numbers"}
    This time all seems to be OK but the command failed.
    Normal as it was already described.
    As far as I know, at this time, to create a document we must rely on GUIscripting.
    set myNewDoc to my makeNewDoc("test.numbers", path to documents folder as text)
    on makeNewDoc(n, d)
    tell application "Numbers" to activate
    tell application "System Events" to tell (first process whose title is "Numbers") to tell menu bar 1 to tell menu bar item 3 to tell menu 1 to click menu item 1
    (* menu bar item 3 for menu File *)
    (* menu item 1 for New *)
    tell application "Numbers" to save document 1 as n in file (d & n)
    return (d & n) as alias
    end makeNewDoc
