How to stop emails alerting you to Forum replies
When you join the conversation by posting in the Forum, you are automatically signed up to get emails to let you know when someone replies to your post. We do this to make it easy for you to know when someone replies to your post.
Though this may seem useful for some, some other members may find it inconvenient. If you want to stop getting emails, you can change a setting. Here is how:
1. Log into the Forum.
2. Now, at the right pane, below your user name, click on My Account.
3. Now click on, Subscriptions & Notifications tab, as shown in the picture. This will open several subscription/bookmark options.
4. Click on the Notification Settings link at the left side.
5. Uncheck the option Automatically subscribe me to topics I participate in.
6. Finally, scroll down below and click on the button.
There you go!
Your settings are now saved and you will not get emails letting you know that someone has replied to your post. That said, you can manually sign up to get emails for a particular threads you are interested in following.

Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.

Can anyone please tell me how to stop email previews from appearing on my screen. I have turned off the preview option in settings on both my ipad and iphone, but they still keep appearing. Thanks
works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1). Try again. with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only. (you cannot get rid of the subject) with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.

Thank you.I never excluded explicitly 'english' from the list, so I don't know what will happen doing this. But by default on a non-english server (that's at least my experience) you ever have preselected 'english' and your native language (in my case 'german'). I guess it's the same for OP, of course 'french' instead of 'german'. So he/she should change the browser default language and see what happens. If language remains 'french', no english components exist.

I have defined an alert category uisng ALRTCATDEF transaction. But when I trigger the alert via XI I get alert both in my email as well as alert inbox. Now my requirement is to get alerts only in alert inbox. So how to prevent email alerts?
Is there any setting?
Is there any container variable to be setup and used in alert category?

You have 20 recipients for the Alerts?
In that case, using FIXED recipients should not be the way to do it. You should use <b>Recipient Via User Role</b> in ALRTCATDEF.
And yes, you will have to ask the recipient of the alert to personalize the same.
By default, the Alert EMails are turned off and only because your 20 recipients have turned them ON manually are they receiving the Emails.
So, if they need to turn it off, they should again do the reverse of re setting the Personalization option. This is the correct way to do this.

Does anybody know how to stop email chaos with the new mail program that "intuitively" groups messages together so you cant find them anymore? I just want all my emails on their own as they come in. I dont want whatever layer of AI they are trying to layer over this because it doesnt work.

Where I work, we seem to have a problem with setting (email) alerts for upcoming events for others in the company besides yourself. We have one shared agenda, where we can all put events in. When I want to make an alert - a message or email alert - I can only choose my own emailaddress. Is it possible to send an alert to more users besides yourself?

No. They are not being created by the phone. They are being created by your mail system, whether that is Exchange, Yahoo, Google, etc. They all have settings to automatically create contacts from people you correspond with. There is no setting on the phone to control this. Check the settings for your mail account with or talk to your IT department.

4. Talk to your provider and ask him about his possibilities.
5. Insert your own eMail-address only as a jpg-file (image-file)
6. Replace the @ with a written "at"

How to stop email notification on PO revision - PO approval workflow
This is part of the seeded POAPPRV Workflow. When a new PO is created, a notification is created (that requires acceptance). The PO is then revised before a response to the original notification has taken place, which deploys a new notification and closes the original one. When the original notification is closed with no response having been provided, the POAPPRV Workflow states:
"You earlier received the notification shown below. That notification is now closed, and no longer requires your response. You may simply delete it along with this message."
Can anyone tell me how to stop sending this second notification when notification is cancelled ?

SunithaWhen a notification is sent to a user and the user has a notification preference to receive e-mail notifications then the notifications will be sent via e-mail and they will also appear in the user's worklist.
If the user responds to the notification from the worklist (let's say approves) the notification will be responded to and will be removed from the worklist. Now, there is nothing that Workflow can do about the e-mail notification in the e-mail client (yahoo, ms outlook, gmail, etc). So if the user attempts to approve from there, the Workflow Inbound Mailer will realize the incoming e-mail corresponds to a notification that was responded to already. So it has to let the user know that his e-mail will not be processed. So the user will need to consider what he's done before sending an e-mail response.
