How to  summarize count by bam report

Hi All ,
My Oracle BAM is 10g Release3 (10.1.3.3.0) build 35600 80
I have question about technic of bam.
My data objects is
name time cnt
1 RECEIVE 16:00 8
2 RECEIVE 17:00 2
from this picture
Image:!http://www.pic2us.com/pic/4/416b474d1d282cfb6ce5e41d4ad44e5f.jpg!
Normal report will display black line [8 2].
But I want to summarize "cnt" and display like red line [8 10 (8+2)] .
If I have new record of data object like
3 RECEIVE 18:00 3 it must be [8 10 13]
I see TechNote_BAM_RatioOfTwoAggregations.pdf but can't find any solution.
Need help.
Thank

  • How to include  images in BAM reports

    Hi all,
In Oracle 11g BAM , i can see some already existing Demo reports, i the Active Studio.
in that demo reports i can see a report called SLA Violation. Here in this SLA Vioaltion report there is Updating Orderded list within the list they are showing some images .
can some one help me how to add images like that..? or tell me the steps..
i tried creating the similar updating ordered list in my sample report and gave the image links gived in that demo report
    " _switch({Process Due Soon SLA}) case(true):(<span style='width: 8px'><img src='../Images/TradeSubmitted.png'/></span><span style='padding-left: 4px;vertical-align:top;'>Submitted</span>) default( <span style='width: 8px'><img src='../Images/TradeFine.png'/></span><span style='padding-left: 4px;vertical-align:top;'>Fine</span>")_but in the updated ordering list instead of the image im getting entries like this " ):(<span style='width: 8px'><img src='../Images/TradeSubmitted.png'/></span><span style='padding"
Any suggestions on this is Really appreciated..

    Hi,
I have used four different ways to display images in my applications depending on which method is the fastest to refresh.
    1. Under Application Attributes > Edit Standard Attributes > Substitutions enter your substitution string (MY_IMAGE_URL) and substitution value(http://somewhere/img)
and then in the region or template use the following syntax &MY_IMAGE_URL. in your html tags eg. img src="&MY_IMAGE_URL./banner.png" width="x" height="x">)
I have found this the best for image refresh speed, especially if the image is already cached.
    2. Load your image up into Apex and don't associate it with any application and use the following tag img src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#banner.png" width="x" height="x" alt="">
Good for development as all images not associated to an application are available.
    3. Load your image up into Apex and associate it with an application and use the following tag img src="#APP_IMAGES#banner.png" width="x" height="x" alt="">
This can be a pain during development when your application numbers continually change.
    4. Use standard http address <img src="http://somewhere/banner.png" width="x" height="x">

  • How to configure Counter in Report

Newbie question - How can I configure Counter to be displayed in BAM Report. I have added three business indicators one being a counter. I see that my other two indicators are recorded in the BAM Data Object I created, I also see that my Project Counter is getting stored in Counter BAM Data Object. How do I link these and come up with an BAM Report whose values are based on the Counter. I am using 11G.
Edited by: Venkat Ram on Jul 8, 2010 5:37 AM

Assuming you are referring to Monitor Express dashboard and using monitor objects for your BPEL or BPM process in JDEV (counters, intervals, business indicators).
The Monitor Express Dashboard (and subreports) is essentially a template you can use to quickly get an idea of the processes you are trying to monitor.
From the 2nd tab "Process View "(which is the subreport titled Monitored Process Details"), does have a view which uses the Counter dataobject and lists the Counter name and count of instances passed that particular counter.
Essentially, you can create any report against this Counter dataobject. You can edit and add/remove views in the Monitor Express Dashboard to be solely based on the Counter dataobject.
But the 1st thing to do is understand the data captured in the dataobject itself. The fieldnames are fairly explanatory.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to show the processing time taken for a BPEL process in BAM report.

    Hi All,
I have the data as below in the Data object. I would like to show the time taken for each order to complete in the report.
instance Id     order Id     product Name     product Code     price     status     instance Time      updaterName
    1360010     ord004     Guitar     prod003     2000     requested     9/22/2008 12:12:11 PM     Invoke_InsertSalesOrder
    1360010     ord004     Guitar     prod003     2000     Approved     9/22/2008 12:15:11 PM     Invoke_OrderStatusUpdate
This data comes from simple BPEL process where sensors are configured at the start and end of BPEL process. Also have a human task activity in between to create the time difference.
In Enterprise link design studio, I tried to calculate the time difference using expression calculator and store it as calculated field. But that doesn't seems to work because when I execute the plan, second sensor data reaches only after human approval whereas first sensor data would be waiting for calculation and ultimately nothing comes into data object.
How and where the calculation be done to show the processing time in the report. Please someone throw some light on this.
    Regards
    Jude.

I would suggest modifying your data object so that the data can all be in a single row and use the sensor at the end of the process to upsert (update) the row created by the sensor at the start of the process. The time difference between two fields in the same row is then an easy calculation on a BAM report -- No EL plan should be needed.

Apparently =count() &#91;and use of a where&#93; was permissible in previous versions of BusObjects, however, things in XI are different (as other users tell me, being XI is my first experience w/ BusObj...), so anyhow, here is the solution to your question.
You will have have to create two variables for each condition you have.  One variable will be the "helper" and the other variable will be the "worker".  For instance, create a variable called channel_x and the formula:  =if(channel="haney";<metric>;0)  (where "haney" is the name of your organization and <metric> is the metric you are using to count or sum things in your report).  Once channel_x is saved create another variable called channel_x_count and the formula:  =sum(&#91;channel_x&#93;).  Once channel_x_count is saved, then on your report towards the bottom you can use the Template bar to drag in a new table (perhaps you want to use the Horizontal Table type), and then you can drag channel_x_count into your new table.  You will have to repeat the creations of more channel_x type variables (maybe call it channel_y and channel_y_count) or something more descriptive, but in any case substitute the "haney" constant for the next store you want to track, etc, etc.

  • How to summarize Open sales order credit value

    Hi, friends.
I am designing Add-on report about credit exposure.
I found the relevant tables of Credit Limit in FD32
    KNKK
    S066
    S067
Then, I would like to show the document details of open sales order credit value in the report.
I tried to summarize the open sales order amount from VBAK, VAUK, VBAP, VBUP.
However, it doest match to the amount in S066 table.
Can anyone tell us how to summarize Open sales order credit value from SD documents?
    Regards,
    Yu

    Sudheer,
You need to check the update rule given in the definition of the Credit control Area which you are using for credit management. If you want only the open deliveries then you need to have update rule 15 in the credit control area.
In the credit controal settings, you need to have settings for the credit check at the delivery level.
Hope this will solve your issue.

  • How to Create an Oracle BAM Server Connection?

I m following the steps at the end of this post to create the connection but at the end I m getting this message from JDev:
    {Unable to write to
    /C:/JDeveloper/mywork/Application1/.adf/META-INF/connections.xml
    because it is a read-only. Either make it writable or allow it to be made writable through source control.}
it creates the directory C:/JDeveloper/mywork/Application1/.adf/META-INF/ with only a adf-config.xml file but NOT the connections.xml any one knows what is wrong?
Bellow is the stpes I m following. Its exactly what is written at the Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer´s guide for Oracle SOA Suite 11g Release 1(11.1.1) E10224-01
To create an Oracle BAM connection:
    1. Select New from the File main menu in Oracle JDeveloper.
    The New Gallery dialog opens.
    2. Choose Connections from the General category.
    3. Select BAM Connection in the Items list, and click OK.
    The BAM Connection wizard opens.
    4. Provide a name for the connection. Leave the Create Connection In selection as
    Application Resources.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Enter the following connection information about the Oracle BAM instance.
    7. Click Next.
    8. Test the connection by clicking Test Connection. If the connection was successful,
    the following message appears:
    Passed.
    9. Click Finish.
Note: You can create connections to Oracle BAM in the Oracle
JDeveloper Resource Palette as well as the Application Resources
panel of a specific application. It is recommended that you create these
connections in the Application Resources pane rather than the
    Resource Palette.

Ok that will be nice, but is not the case I dont want to read the tutorial, the problem is I already start to read and execute the tutorial you told me the problem is this tutorial it doesnt show how to do everything from scratch because you already have inside the zip file everything like xmls etc etc, and I want to get my DO and create the process myself, I dont want to get something that it is already done, this tutorial does not show for example how to create this composite.xml, this file it is already inside the zip file, so this way I just follow half of the process and dont learn how to make the whole process.

  • How to use Count with Date Parameters

    Hello,
I am having issues using the Count() function in conjunction with date parameters.
This is a Siebel report and in my report I have 2 date parameters(From Date, To Date). In a nutshell I am basically trying to count Opportunities that has a start date within the given date period. However I don't see a reasonable way to put my date parameters within the Count() function. The reason being is that I need to have a huge chunk of code to convert the dates into a common format that can be compared, and it won't even fit within the code block in my rtf template. I am not even sure how to put multiple conditional statements inside a Count() function since all the examples I have seen are very simple.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to use Count() with date parameters?
    Thanks.

Any chance you can get the date formats in the correct format from siebel?
I don't know Siebel - so I can't help you with that. If you get the correct format it is just
    <?count(row[(FromDate>=date) and  (date<=ToDate))?>
Otherwise the approach would probably need to use string function to get year/monthd/day from the date
and store it into a varialbe and compare later the same way
    <?variable@incontext:from; ....?>
    <?variable@incontext:to; ...?>
    <?count(row[($from>=date) and  (date<=$to))?>
Potentially you can use the date functions such as xdofx:to_date to do the conversion
    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12844_01/doc/bip.1013/e12187/T421739T481158.htm]
But I am not sure if they are available in your siebel implementation.
    Hope that helps
