How to switch repeat mode on?

Question

I running 11.3.1.2 on Windows 8.1 64bit.
How to I turn on repeat mode?
The icon/button for this is not where Apples help pages say it is!
The only way I have found to do it is to switch on the menu bar and then go to Controls menu >> Repeat >> All.
This if fricking crazy!
Not to mention the fact that the Apple site is useless - I had to search just to find out how to change my password because logging in and editing profile/preferences clearly isn't it (like the rest of the internet) not Apple goes and makes a whole site just for managing your apple login with no link to it from the main site.

I think you'll find that it's working correctly. Presumably, the programmers have decided that if you choose to manually add a song to the Up Next Playlist - then that's what you want to hear next, which is why the repeat feature is turned off. Likewise, manually adding songs to the Up Next will turn off the Shuffle feature, until the manually added songs have been played.

Perhaps you simply need to accept that that is how it works. Surely the extra step would be worth it to you, wouldn't it?
Of course, it's possible that you only realise that you want to hear that sequence again once it has played. In that case, there is one tip you could try. When you discover a sequence of songs that you want to hear again, look in the Songs view and list the songs by Last Played. Select the group of songs you want and then create a Playllst from that group. Note that the default view in Last Played is in reverse, as shown in this first shot:
To put it in forward order, simply click on the Last Played column header to reverse the list, as shown in this next shot. Scroll down to the bottom of the list to find the most recent songs:
Lastly, highlight the songs you want and either create a new Playlist from the selection or add them to an existing list:
Yes, I know that's several steps, and you don't think you should be required to take even one extra step. The choice is yours to make, thanks to the exhaustive possibilities of iTunes.
