How to update Acrobat 9 to current version during CS4 install

HI All:
I have a corporate wide deployment of Creative Suite 4 and Acrobat 9 Professional. Due to the security vulnerabilities of Acrobat Professional, we need to update Acrobat 9 to version 9.4 during the deployment.
For Acrobat Pro 9 the procedure is to edit the setup.ini to include the patches you want to install. see the following technote: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/507/cpsid_50757.html
Basically update the setup.ini file

I need to do the same thing with the CS4/Acrobat 9 install but there is no setup.ini file for this install. I checked the setup.xml but can not find a way to do this.
Does anyone have any information on how to do this?

I have found that I can update CS4 Acrobat to the current version using a batch file.
I have created the batch file calling Acrobat *.msp files and there was no other commands needed to run MSIEXEC. I have tested it and it runs and starts the installer.

We use Acrobat here at work on several computers, whenever I have to install it on a machine I have to spend hours getting it up to date to the current version because I have to apply each update one at a time. Is there a cummulative update that would bring any version of Acrobat up to current?

Admins typically chain them together and use an AIP or Bootstrapper. The details depend on your version as 9.x and 10x are radically different.

How to update 3G to current version when itunes says already up2date?

I still have and use my original Iphone 3G 16gig phone.. Its slow as a slug going uphill once you start filling the hard drive but anyways, I tried to download an app in the app store yesterday and it said i needed to update to 4.3.xxx first... so i thought cool finally an update for this ancient phone.. Connected to itunes and checked for an update and itunes says phone is up to date with version 4.2.1
Am I missing something? How can it tell me i need the current version for the app/phone when the phone and itunes say its already up to date?

Have you closed out everything in the Multitasking menu? You can do that by double clicking the home button and then holding down on the apps until the red circle and then click on that. Hope this helps.

Hi, I couldn't find a way (other then write shell script workarounds ;-) ) to show this additional information:
- the repository the update is in
- the current installed version of the package

It's better now, however there is still a bug. 'pacman -Ss' also shows the group of a package, eg:
testing/automake 1.10.2-1 (base-devel)
testing/man-pages 3.14-1 (base)
core/automake 1.10.1-2 (base-devel)
core/man-pages 3.13-1 (base)
extra/abiword 2.6.5-1
You do this:
my ($repo) = ($sync_db =~ m/^(.+)\/\Q$name $ver\E$/m);
This only works if there is no group (eg abiword). It doesn't match for the others. Leaving away the '$' fixes this

Firefox will not install. I keep getting a message that I have to restart my computer in order for updates to a previous version can be installed.

Every time I restart the computer and try to install firefox the same message keeps appearing. I attempted to uninstall the earlier version of firefox using "programs and features" in windows but the same message came up and thus I was unable to uninstall using that method. I have used a third party uninstall program which appeared to delete all traces of firefox including registry entries but I still have the same problem.
I am now in the position of not being able to load any version of firefox. HELP

I am going to update my PC to windows 7 (from XP), how can i backup my current version of firefox and use it on the updated OS?

since support for XP is done and continued use puts my PC at risk, I am going to install Windows 7. I want to know how i can do a full back up of my current version of Firefox and then run it on the updated OS; i have lots of add-ons that I don't want to lose and then have to go through the whole process of reinstalling and customizing.
(currently running Firefox v28.0)

It would be best to be cautious with copying a full profile folder from Windows XP to Windows 7 as the file structure is completely different.

Hi,
The first generation iPad is limited to iOS 5.1.1. This is due to the original iPad not having enough power or memory to get to iOS 6, 7 or any further in the future.
All other iPads and iPad Minis can get to the current version - iOS 7.0.4 and at least until the end versions of iOS 7 or iOS 8.
