How to Update the Final Process Date in Termiantion Screen Oracle HRMS

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where i need to update the Final Process Date. is there any standard api to update the final process date. i know there is a update to update the termination details like actual termination date,last standard process but how about final process date.
Eg : For one assignment the final process date is 31-March-2013 and as of now he is a exemployee in system as he was terminated on 31-DEC-2012. now i want to prepone the final process date to 31-JAN-2012.
any replies on this is highly appreciable.

I would reverse the termination then terminate the employee with the right FPD.
hr_ex_employee_api.reverse_terminate_employee
hr_ex_employee_api.actual_termination_emp
hr_ex_employee_api.final_process_emp
Maybe also the below might work:
hr_periods_of_service_api.update_pds_details
Please note that there should be no payroll result in your case after January payroll.
On a side note, you can also termiante employee without setting the FPD, and then put it only when approved by the business - in this way wou can avoid the prepone.

What is the termination date on this employee and what Final process date are you using? Are there any payrolls that ran after his/her Term date. Because even though this employee has been terminated a while ago, if there are any payrolls run after that (even if this employee is skipped), the system still includes this emp in that run and doesn't allow you to enter a Final process date prior to that pay date
Either try to use a final process date which is in the next pay period after the latest payroll run or try running deltax.sql (removes tax records) on that assignment and see if that works

How to update the Input message data in OSM

hi,
I am using OSM 7.0.2.
can we update input message data before the orchestration execution.
I want to add some more order line item to the input xml by calling some external webservice.
Suppose CRM submits order with 3 order line item. Now once we have that in Input message i want to add some more order line item to this input message.
I dont want to add processing/adapter layer above OSM that does the updation of the XML.

Hi Rutvej,
You use Order Data Rule to generate data for the creation view of the orchestration order. The source schema of the Order Data Rule is the schema for the incoming message. The output returns the <_root> portion of the creation view. Note that the Order Template already has the Sales Order (look for "order <XML>") and automatically populated by OSM Core. So, what you are trying to do is not to add/change the Sales Order itself, but to first add the desired enriching data model into Order Template, and then use Order Data Rule to populate those enriching data into the Order Template.
Example of Order Data Rule:

Significance of Final Process Date

Can somebody tell me why do we have the Final Process Date when the Payroll of the employee is not going to run
beyond the Last Standard Process?

Hi Guys,
Its not any odd behaviour of the system. It all depends upon how you have defined your element.
In the element definition screen, there is a section for "Termination" which has 3 values namely Actual Termination, Final Close and Last Standard Process.
The element will behave according to this setting once the employee has been terminated. If it is configured as LSP(default), then element will be processed on or before LSP date.
For the case of Bonus, it would be better to set it as a Final close date.

You'll probably have to call CSS on this one as this not normal by any means. The messages you noted above are completely normal but if that's all you are seeing then there's an issue.
Have you reviewed wcm.log and wsusctrl.log?

a) The procedure is as follows:
1. Create Depreciation area via OADB.
2. Activate Depreciation area via OAYZ.
3. Automatic opening of new depreciation are via AFBN and program
   RAFABNEW :
3.1     Indicator: Leave values initial = not ticked.
           Do not set this indicator if you want the system
           to copy the values from depreciation area 01.
3.2     Indicator: Leave values initial = ticked.
           Set this indicator if you want to open the newly created
           depreciation area without any values i.e. blank.
4. Recalculate depreciation via AFAR and program RAAFAR00.
b) Helpful notes:

301113 (Restrictions of RAFABNEW)
421549 (RAFABNEW: Error with closed fiscal years)

How do I update the payload of a BPEL process instance without the activity being a Human Task. I know there are ton's of example showing how to update the payload of a user task using BPEL API's. But in my case I need to update the payload of a BPEL process instance which has no human task.

e.g. fm CKML_ORDER_CONNECTION_UPDATE

How to get the last run date.

We intend to develop an incremental data load mapping using this strategy:
1) The mapping reads the date it was last run from an auxiliary table.
2) It selects from the source only those rows that were inserted or updated after said date.
3) Then, a post-mapping process updates the last run date in the auxiliary table, using SYSDATE.
The problem with this logic is that there is a gap: if the mapping starts running at 1:00 and ends at 2:00, the rows that are inserted in between will never be loaded.
Is there any way to get the value when the mapping started running? Is there a better way to do this?
Any help would be appreciated.

There is always the possibility of some record updates slipping through the crack if you are depending on dates unless you are very carefull. All of the audit tasks that the OWB-generate code performes take time. Any pre- or post- process that needs to run takes time. So which date is the best cuttoff point to equate to "when the last run of the merge (or insert or update) statement completed"?
Plus, how do you handle reloads if the previous load failed and your mapping had incremental commits?
Is your source on another server? If so, are the dates in perfect synch? The audit tables populate with sysdate of your runtime schema. Is that the same as the sysdate on your source remote database?
I would qualify my query to look for all updates since the start of the last run that finished successfully - adjusted if neccesary for sysdate differences if it is on a remote schema. And make sure that your code handles any reloads gracefully in the event that this brings back data that you have already loaded once. .
Because we use Oracle Streams to load a local staging area, we also have custom code to dump the primary keys of all data changes to utility staging tables while streams is updating the local copy. So, our Person table has an st_Person_delta table that just holds the primary keys that have been updated by Streams since the last ETL run.
During datamart load we disable the streams apply to stabilize our environment, and join these lists of pk's to their source tables to drive our ETL. So we only select data where Streams has performed an update to the row since our last run. When we are done our ETL, we truncate the primary key staging tables, and then turn streams back on to start loading up our new delta into our staging tables again..
The ETL gets pretty complex though when many tables join together in one mapping and you need to check all possible source table deltas to see if any of them got updated to determine the delta for a given dimension or fact record, but it works great once you get it all done.

Question: How to track the flow of data from R/3 to BI ?
I want to load master data from R/3 to BI. In BI, i create an infopackage to load data from R/3. Under processing tab i set it as "PSA and then in the InfoObject (package by package)". Its a Full update.
Now, i start the update to InfoObject. The load goes on well.
Now, i want to track the flow of data from the master data table in R/3 to Datasource in R/3 then Extractors and then in the PSA in BI and then till the InfoObject. That is the complete flow of data from source table (in R/3) to Target table (in BI).
Please help me know how this can be done. (For example lets take cost element master data)

When u right click on the Master Data Info object -> Select Data flow.Then it will show u the details like DS name,IS (If 3.x)
Once u know the DS then you need to find out the source tables for the R/3 DS.This information will get using ROOSOURCE or ROOSFIELD tables or help.sap.com.
My suggestion better to search in Help site for DS source tables.

Final Process date when terminating an employee

Hi All,
we would like the end employment screen to generate the ‘Final Process’ field when entering the ‘Actual’ Termination Date for our leavers.
Monthly paid: + 1 period (i.e. add 1 month to standard Final Process date)
Fortnightly: + 2 periods (i.e. add 4 weeks to standard Final Process date)
Weekly: + 2 periods (i.e. add 2 weeks to standard Final Process date)
i.e.
- Monthly leaver on 19-SEP-2012, end of that period is 30-SEP-2012 so Final Process date will be 31-OCT-2012.
- Fortnightly leaver on 14-SEP-2012, end of that period is 15-SEP-2012 so Final Process date will be 13-OCT-2012.
- Weekly leaver on 14-SEP-2012, end of that period is 15-SEP-2012 so Final Process date will be 29-SEP-2012.
Any ideas about how to achieve this please?

Yes I thought the same but, I need to know that payroll's pay frequency value (monthly/weekly etc) ,
so that based on that value I can decide how much to add (an extra month for monthly payroll or a week for weekly payroll )
