How to use varaible in place of logical operator in query

Hi Experts,
How can we use a variable in place of logical operator (OR, AND) ?
For ex:
select * from sflight where carrid = 'LH' AND connid = 100.
data x type string.
x = 'AND'.
Now, I want to replace AND with the variable x.
Query will be:
select * from sflight where carrid = 'LH'  x connid = 100.
I am doing this because user can select any logical operator while creating the search criteria at run time .
I already tried this but i am getting following compilation error:
Error: Incorrect expression used in place of logical expression.

hi,
Check out this sample code
Display of flight connections after input of airline and flight number:
PARAMETERS: carr_id TYPE spfli-carrid,
            conn_id TYPE spfli-connid.
DATA:       where_clause TYPE  STRING,
            and(4),
            wa_spfli TYPE spfli.
IF carr_id IS NOT INITIAL.
  CONCATENATE 'CARRID = ''' carr_id '''' INTO where_clause.
  and = ' AND'.
ENDIF.
IF conn_id IS NOT INITIAL.
  CONCATENATE where_clause and ' CONNID = ''' conn_id ''''
    INTO where_clause.
ENDIF.
SELECT * FROM spfli INTO wa_spfli WHERE (where_clause).
  WRITE: / wa_spfli-carrid, wa_spfli-connid, wa_spfli-cityfrom,
           wa_spfli-cityto, wa_spfli-deptime.
ENDSELECT.

  • Can anyone tell me the how to use the "ducking" process in Logic Pro 8?

    Howdy,
I've tried following the directions in the manual but I just can figure out the steps necessary to use the ducking process in Logic 8. For those who aren't sure what ducking is it's for instance, when you want a guitar track's volume to be reduced when a vocal track is active. As an example, there is a way to trigger the volume reduction in the guitar track(s) using a compressor in the vocal track. Whenever the singer is singing it automatically reduces the volume in the guitar track. I'm just not sure how to do this. Any help with the steps involved would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Well, the theory is you run say, the mix , through the 'ducker' or as I like to call it, the 'motherducker', then you simply sidechain say, a kick drum. That is to say, you route your kick to a bus or aux channel, preferably routed to a different output, then assign that bus or aux as your sidechain input in the ducker. The theory is that the through signal will duck on receipt of the sidechained kick.
Frustratingly, this ducker is the buggiest thing since a bug landed on a buggy while loading it into the back of a VW bug. It just doesn't work. well it works for a bit and then stops working. Or the kick comes through the ducker as well. Or some other manifestation of complete crapness. Come on Apple, sort it out - it's the sound that everybody wants!
    Sorry Mark L1

I assume you're looking for something like this?
    select count(balance) from balanace_tb
    where (   kk_code in(111,112,113)
           or (kk_code in(111,1124,115,116) and sec_id in(50,51,52,53))
           or (kk_code in(100,164,215,161) and sec_id in(53,51,52,59))
           or (kk_code not in(100,164,215,162,134) and sec_id in(53,51,52,59))
           or (kk_code in(100,164,215,16) and sec_id in(53,51,52,59))
    and open_date=20130331
If not, please post some example data, the expected output from that data, and the logic you are expecting to use, as well as posting your database version.

  • How to use parallel sequence for split the operation qty. urgent or other o

    PP guru
    My scenario is as follows.
    I ve one material suppose…xyz.
For that material I' ve created bom, routing.
In routing I' ve mention only one operation. 0010.
Now I' ve the production order of 1000 kg.
I want to use two work centers to run this production order. ( e.g.work center a and b)
In routing I used work center a.
In short I want split that operation.
So what I ve to do or use parallel sequence and how???
or else is there any other option to split the order to two or more machines/work center?
    Pls explain me in brief.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi,
If you want to carry the production with two different work centers , first you need to split the operation qty.
For this in the order type dependent parameters OPL8
in the controlling tab page enable the indicator Cost collector
and set the default rule as PP2.
Create a Product cost collector with KKF6N.
Now in the production order , select the operation and choose functions--->>> split.
Now enter the operation split quantity and execute.
Now in MD04 you can see two production order.
In the second production order change the work center in the operation overview as desired and save.
      Regards,
    nandha

Check the error stack and fix the cause of the error. Contact oracle support if error is not fixable.

You cannot defined the wildcard for the file names. But you can provide the file name dynamically if you are on soa suite 10.1.3.4 minimum. You can get information about that in this link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/relnotes.1013/e12523/adapters.htm#CHDBBFBD

Can any one help me out plss?

    Hi,
you can use the bind variable more than once. Can you put your SQL into another query tool such as SQL Developer and run it?
ps, looking at your code what you may actually want its:
    SELECT * FROM ACTIVITIES
    WHERE
    SUB_TYPE_CODE = NVL(:1, SUB_TYPE_CODE )
    bit simpler?

  • How to use OFFSET for CHAR type value in Bex query

    infoobject A value = 1102007
    Type = CHAR
I want to have an offset for this infoobject created in query say 1 to 12 months
    in month of 10/2007 value = 1102007
remember above 1 is always CONSTANT
    then
    in month of 11/2007 value = 1112007
    in month of 12/2007 value = 1122007
how to do this since the infoobject is of TYPE- CHAR ,its gives we cannot do the OFFFSET in the query ,for doing OFFSET the infoobject must be of type numeric or NUMC.
is it possible achieve this in to update rules?? since i cannot change the type of this infoobject now in the middle of production support
    please help
    thanks

    Hi,
You will have to add a characteristic to your cube.
    The format should be NUMC
In the update-routine you will have to convert the char value to numc

  • How to use PooledConnection

    Hi all
This problem can look funny to lot of you.
I have project where i use Java on server side to perform some operation with MySQL. I have created connection to MySQL but there will be lot of users and connecting to database like i have done is not a option.
    public Connection Connecting() {         try {             String username = "username";             String password = "pass";             String url = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/database";             Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();             conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);             System.out.println("Connection established on connecting to database");         } catch (Exception e) {             System.out.println("Database Connection Problem while creating connection:" + e);         }         return conn;     }
Then i was informed that i can use Pooled Connection. From NetBeans tutorial i have learn how to create it.
There i nice explanation how to create server resource and how to use it directly on web page.
    <sql:query var="subjects" dataSource="jdbc/IFPWAFCAD">     SELECT subject_id, name FROM Subject </sql:query>
But i need to use it in my Java class. How to use PooledConnection created on server (GlassFish)
I was checking lot of web pages and all was talking about how to create PooledConnection but nothing with example how to use PooledConnection created on server already.
If any one can give some code example.
I have also checked this but i don't get it how to get data?

You use the DataSource to get connections (by calling getConnection()). "jdbc/IFPWAFCAD" is the JNDI name for your resource and you use that to get the actual DataSource object that the container should've loaded for you. So you get the DataSource by it's JNDI name and then get connections from the DataSource. Once you have a Connection, you can do all the stuff you'd normally do with JDBC, using PreparedStatements etc.
It's is advisable to use a DAO in order to separate your business logic from your data access logic. Check out this tutorial: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2008/07/dao-tutorial-data-layer.html]
