How to validate concurrent program parameter and display a custom message?

Hi Friends,
I have a concurrent program which has two non-mandatory parameters.
The requirement is that user should provide value for any one of the parameters.
If user does not enter value for both the parameters, i need to display a custom error message.
Parameter1 has an independent value set.
Parameter2 has character value set with validation type as special.
Process i tried so far:
In the value set for the second parameter, under the Validate event, i have written the following code:

Now since the condition 1=1 is always satisfied, i should always receive the error message.
I am not receving any error message and i can go ahead and submit the program..
Please advise on where am i going wrong.

I don't want to put default "ALL" value and then use this in other value sets to get all values. Is there any other way using some dummy parameters? I searched in threads but couldn't find relevant.

Using concurrent program parameter in bursting

Hi there,
I am passing a concurrent program parameter into my rtf using the ?param@begin method & displaying it on the XMLP PDF output.
However when I am sending that PDF via bursting the param data does not show, even though it's present when viewing the PDF output via the concurrent request.
Does that mean I cannot do that and need to define the parameter as part of the Oracle report first?

Issue in concurrent program parameter.

I have one request set which has 2 concurrent programs. All the parameters of first programs are shared by 2nd program.
In first program there is one parameter p_load_seq where I am using default type=
"SQL Statement" and default value "select per_hr_br_outbound_seq.nextval from dual' .
If we submit this program/req set manually then it is taking the nextvalue correctly but If we schedule this job or copy this job/program it is not taking next value of the sequence.
Please let us know what is to be done to get the next value even if we schedule or copy this job.

This seem to be due to the fact that when You copy, previous execution parameter values are inherited, not defaulted again, and for scheduling, the values are derived when You secify parameter values and then they are carried to the next scheduled execution.
The only ways to circunvent this may be to obtain the sequence in concurrent program itself, and if that is not possible because of a standard program, You may code a launcher that calls the request set, so everytime it fetches the new sequence value.

lets assume there are 2 buttons, first button to submit concurrent program and second button to view concurrent program output/log.
Actually im able to submit concurrent program from oracle custom form(6i) in ebusiness(11.5.0.2) i.e first button (WHEN-BUTTON_PRESSED buitin).
Rather user navigating to VIEW-> REQUEST, i would like to give option to user to view concurrent program output/log when user clicks on second button (WHEN-BUTTON_PRESSED buitin)
How can i achive this?

I have a tricky requirement and i was not able to achieve, let me explain my requirement
I have created a PLSQL Concurrent Program named "Approval Update". This will do update and it display the number of rows updated.
Now i need to take this concurrent program output and it needs to be send it to the person who submits this program as an email using shell scripts.
I have referred meta link note as well as some OTN posts but I was not able to achieve this.
Please help me to complete this As soon as possible, Thanks in advance for your help.

I faced problem in ASM size as it appeared in alert file as below
ORA-19504: failed to create file "+DG_DATA"
ORA-17502: ksfdcre:4 Failed to create file +DG_DATA
ORA-15041: diskgroup space exhausted
So we resize ASM space and large it. But we faced the same problem also although there is free space in ASM.
It seems that the shown free space is not real.
How can validate the ASM size and free space correctly?

I was having this problem. Im my case i couldn add datafiles to a tablespace despite the fact that i was having a lot of space in the asm. Try rebalancing. It might help. In my case rebalancing also didn work because it seems that there need to be a threshold space in all the disks for the rebalancing to happen which was not in my case, so i had to shrink some unused space in the tablespace and then after gaining the required space I rebalanced the disk and then the disks got rebalanced, also i was able to use the free space that was showing .

I currently have an XML file and XSD. The XML file specifies the location of the XSD. In Java code I create a SAXParser with parameters indicating that it needs to validate the XML. However, SAXParser.parse does not validate the XML, but it does call my handler functions which save the elements/attributes in memory as it is read. On the other hand, XMLReader.parse does validate the XML against the XSD, but does not save the document in memory.
My code can call XMLReader.parse to validate the XML followed by SAXParser.parse to save the XML document in memory. But this sound inefficient. Besides, while a valid document is being parsed by XMLReader, it can be changed to be invalid and saved, and XMLReader.parse would be looking at the original file and would think that the file is OK, and then SAXParser.parse would parse the document without errors.

I have the same issue and I KNOW my backup IS good. What happen is when you try to restore your phone apple says something like can I check for new updates and if you choose no, it just takes you back to the restore screen and a loop from then on. If you dont update from you phone then when you back up you will have the 5.0.1 back up and then when you update to 5.1.1 and then try to restore the backup from 5.0.1 it say it EITHER corrupt or incompatible.. It is incompatible and its hard as **** to restore back to 5.0.1. I followed the restore to a T and still getting errors. I lost all text history and have to reset up email. All just because I wanted a 1.2 Gigs of "other" space back.
