How to Validate Newly Added Fields for ME22n and ME23n

Hi Experts,
I have added 2 fields at the item level of PO Change and display(ME22n and ME23n). I used the BADIs ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and got that displayed.
I got a new tab at Item level and my fields are displayed there.
My problem is how to populate or validate the values into that fields now. The validations have to be done per each item. I would like to have some sample code.
Useful answers are surely rewarded.

    Upon pressing enter, 'submitonenter' event is fired. So, in DO_HANDLE_EVENT of your view controller class add following piece of code and ur logic:
    CASE htmlb_event_ex->event_server_name.
    WHEN  'submitonenter'.
      Add directly multiplication logic or define a method in view controller class and call that method here.
    WHEN OTHERS.
    CALL METHOD SUPER->DO_HANDLE_EVENT
            EXPORTING
              EVENT           = EVENT
              HTMLB_EVENT     = HTMLB_EVENT
              HTMLB_EVENT_EX  = HTMLB_EVENT_EX
              GLOBAL_MESSAGES = GLOBAL_MESSAGES
            RECEIVING
              GLOBAL_EVENT    = GLOBAL_EVENT
    ENDCASE.

    Hi Parnith,
    It is easy to use a table maintainance to enter values to a database table....
    if you have a table maintainace generator and you are not able to see the newly added field here is the reason
    Everytime you add a new field , the table maintainance needs to be regenerated..The reason is that the screen you are using in the table maintainance is created within a program with respect to the fucntion group and not directly linked to the table..whenever you change the table,the function group is not affected and changes are not reflected in the table maintainance , so you have to regenerate by utilities-> table maintainance generator in sell for that table..once you do it , the function group assigned to the table automatically creates a new one with the latest fields added

    You add your own property (and it'll be invisible to outlook users, not to worry).
    Extended Properties allow you to define custom property on Exchange Items. And it has a
    method for setting those too.
    Here's a short post doing a very simple intro on using Extended Properties.

  • Newly-added field  missing in the field catalog  for NR00

    I  am about to creat condition record for condition type NR00 free goods . I need to make some customizing to meet our requirement .So  I changed  the field catalog for the condition table by adding a new field BWAST  (purchasing document type) . After that I am going to creat a new condition table 501 with this newly-added field ,but I can't find the field in the right part for field catalog .
    Can you give me some advice ?   Thank you in advance.

  • Newly added field in the data Source not getting populated

    We have added few fields in the Data Source. The Data Source is based on the InfoSet. We have included the field in the Infoset and have updated the code to fetch the value for the newly added fields.
    When we perform the test extraction for this Data Source in RSA3, the newly added fields are not getting populdated with the value. In the system generated query's selection list, the newly added fields are not selected.
    Please let mw know how to get the newly added field selected in the system generated query of the infoset.

    Hi,
    As you said you have added the filed in Info Set. Have you included the same in data source? try if not.
    If you are trying to create a query in source system to check the data. I guess in R/3 (ECC) then you have to include the new field in slection critera (ther is an option available on top menu).
    I would suggest before creating any query go to RSO2 select the data source. Display the field structure and check if the filed is there or not. You maysee Infoset level data directly by data display from top menu. Try that optionas well to check.

    Fieldcat is buffered - so use
    I_BYPASSING_BUFFER = 'X'
    Since a while CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is available which does NOT need any fieldcat (is determined internally using RTTI). It is worth playing around whith this class if you have some time. This class is recommended for ALV Output by SAP (but no edit is possible - was never supported officially).
    A simple use would be:
    data: gt_output type standard table of (adjust!).
    *simple ALV output
    data go_alv type ref to cl_salv_table.
    data go_functions type ref to cl_salv_functions_list.
    data go_columns type ref to cl_salv_columns_table.
    data go_column type ref to cl_salv_column_table.

    Firstly goto view->select the element that you want to make mandatory and set the State property to required.
    Secondly place the below code in the WDDOBEFOREACTION
    DATA: l_view_controller TYPE REF TO if_wd_view_controller.
    * Get view controller
      l_view_controller = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    * Check for mandatory attribute
      cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>check_mandatory_attr_on_view(

    if u want to validate the screen fields in Module pool programming  then u need to go for
    CHAIN & ENDCHAIN.
    Following is the example which guide u to use the chain and endchain:
    In the flow logic of ur screen before the module write this code
    CHAIN.
    FIELD TABNAME-FIELDNAME(OR SCREEN FIELD NAME).
    MODULE MODULENAME(OR FIELD NAME).
    ENDCHAIN.
    Double click on the module name and write ur validations.

    WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND IN CUSTOMIZATION PATH --> DEFINE SCREEN AREAS FOR NOTIFICATION TYPES.

    I would like to know how to make fields for name and address in a PDF form.
    I am now using Acrobat 8 Pro on Windows Vista. I have downloaded a form in the format of a PDF file. Basically it is just a file holding images of pages of the document, and there are no fields for me to type something on it using computer. This form will be used frequently by me, but I don't want to print it out and fill it in every time by hand. I want to fill it in in the computer and print copies of it when needed. The output will then be much more neat and tidy.
    I have seen PDF forms with blanks for typing name and address, which means the form can be filled in on the computer before printing. They are special, as these blanks allow users to type name and address with every character occupying a box in the field, which consists of ten boxes or so. These are not ordinary textfields. I want to make similar inputting field as well.
    Does anyone knows something about making these input fields with each character using 1 little box in the multi-box field? Any ideas are appreciated.

    The field is deffined in the GP card spec 2.1.1 under 9.5.2.3.6 INSTALL [for load] and INSTALL [for install] Parameters. The section of text explains what each field is and the tag to use to encode. Each value is a two byte short.

    If that field which you wants to add is available in one of the structures like EKKO,EKPO then you can add that field just beside the other fields
    If that field is not there in the any of the structures then you can define a variable using define command
    /: DEFINE  &VAR&
    / &VAR&  = <some value>
    or you can write subroutines to fetch the data from outside tables and can use those fields data in the script
