How to zip a directory and retain tree.

I would like to zip a directory and retain the subdirectories. Is their any built in (or otherwise easy) way to do this or should I just make a log file of where each file goes.

Not built in, but you can still do it. Zipping will be a recursive process, just like
a directory structure is, and when creating the ZipEntry, be sure to
set its name to be the path that you want to see in WinZip, for example.
If you google, I am sure you will find examples.

How to zip report output and send via mail from application

Hello,
I want to know how to zip the report output and send it by mail to concerned person from application
I want this as the report is having more than 70000s of records.
Also the XLS has the limitation of 2^16 records and the report is having more than this

1: Make a Dummy report. From some post parameter form trigger, run your original report with "srw.runreport" call. The original report can generate output to a file.
2: Then withing this dummy report run, call a user exit to zip the
original reports output. You need to write this user exit and attach them
with reports.
3: Now use Report 9i distribution for this dummy report to sent this external zip file through mail.

How to paste from Word and retain formating

My co-worker and I are both running Dreamweaver. However for
some reason I can copy and paste from Word into Dreamweaver and
retain the formatting (bold/italic etc) but she can not. I've done
searches on this board and online in general but haven't found
anything about this issue. Keep in mind that we are not importing
HTML from word, just basic cutting and pasting. The paragraph
returns are retained but the bold/italic formatting is lost. We
don't need the styles to come through (and would rather they not
-they tend to corrupt the html-it get's all wonky) just the
formatting.
I'm sure it's something silly like a preference in Word or
Dreamweaver but we can't seem to find it, or any one else who is
having the same issue.
Our next step is to reinstall Dreamweaver to see if that may
clear the issue...
Any thoughts?

In DW 8 try PASTE SPECIAL. It gives you options for how much

Please let me know whether there are any Function modules or Classes for Zipping and finding the size of it.
Note : Used Class "cl_abap_zip" but the output at in chinese language.

How to implement uplink redundancy and spanning tree in SFP-300 switches

We have several Small Business 300 Series Managed Switches, the 10/100 ones with PoE, the first generation ones.
We've been advised to implement uplink redundancy and spanning tree on these switches.
I'm sure spanning tree is a checkbox somewhere in the web interface.
How does one implement uplink redundancy besides interconnecting the switches plus turning on spanning tree (RSTP)??

How can I get Directory and Files from a Maped Networkdrive of the AppS

Hello,
we have the following Situation.
We have a Windows-Server (Server-A) in an Network with ActivDirectory and an Windows-Server (Server-B with an WebApplicationServer outside of these ActivDirectory as standalone.
On Server-B we mapped a Directory from Server-A (FileExplorer and then MapNetworkDrives) as Drive Q.
Now i tried to get the Directory of Q:\abcd but it doesn't work.
I tried the FM EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING and also RZL_READ_DIR, but both doesn't worked.
RZL_READ_DIR is doing a "CALL 'ALERTS' ..." and is comming back with sy-subrc = 1
EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING is doing a "CALL 'C_DIR_READ_FINISH'..." and comes back with "Wrong order of calls" in the Field file-errmsg. Next Call is "CALL 'C_DIR_READ_START'..." and this comes back with "opendir" in Field file-errmsg.
I tried the same with two Servers in the same ActivDirectory-Network. The Result was the same, i don't get the directory of the mapped drive. But now i get from the Call "CALL 'C_DIR_READ_START'..." the file-errmsg "opendir: Not a directory" and file-errno 20.
Is there any idea for solving my Problem?
I have to get this directory, read the files from the List and have to rename them after wriing the data to our databasefile.
I want to read them with OPEN DATASET, rename them by writing a new File (also OPEN DATASET) and after that i do an DELETE DATASET.

How to recreate ~/.ssh directory and files

I have a 10.4 user without the hidden .ssh directory and all the usual files within that directory (id_rsa, id_rsa.pub, known_hosts) due to a munged account, and am now wanting to know to recreate those files so I can SSH back to this machine.
Any tips/ideas much appreciated.

ssh-keygen -t rsa
will create the .ssh directory and the rsa files. known_hosts will be created as the account is used to ssh/scp/sftp into other accounts.
If other systems are to be allowed to login to this account, then copy their id_rsa.pub files and append them to .ssh/authorized_keys. That will allow them access to this account.
And if this account is suppose to be able to login to other systems, append the newly created id_rsa.pub file to the other system account's .ssh/authorized_keys file.
Check *man ssh* to make sure all permissions are set correctly. If some of the files and/or directories are too permissive, ssh will not work correctly, as it will assume your account can be compromised.

How do she change ID and retain Contacts?

My daughter and I share my Apple ID. We want to give her a new ID on her iPhone 4. How does she create a new ID and still retain her Contacts, Calendar, etc?
Then, we would like to have her iCloud stuff and my iCloud stuff on our shared iMac. Can we have separate Contacts, etc on the iMac?

She needs to have her own Apple ID, not sharing mine anymore.
She needs to keep her contacts, etc, on her own iPhone 4.
I eventually will get an iPhone.
We do share an iMac, which will have Mavericks.
So, can she have her contacts on the iMac, and can I have my contacts on the iMac, but not Merged? Can Contacts and Calendar show separated folders of each of our own contacts and calendar events?
We don't want my Contacts to be loaded on her phone.
I hope this makes better sense.
Also, I have a MBP retina which, when I set it up, where I would also like to keep my own Contacts and Calendar events for when I travel.

i have just installed and login to oracle beekeeper successfully. now i want to intergate the external directory to my active directory so that all users in it will be mapped in oracle beehive secondly i can use them for email purpose.
i am really new to oracle beehive , i have read the administration manuals. but still confusing how to start , the parameters in external directory creation for active directory cannot understandable for me, what does authectic attributes means.
kindly guide me in this regard and secondly if any image base document avaible so that i configure it through that.

The primary Authentication Attribute, is just the LDAP attribute you will use to be able to log on Beehive
That can be an UID, the email address, the cn or with AD the sAMAccount
eg: uid: 123455667
mail: [email protected]
cn: firstname.lastname
these attributes and their associated values are on AD and must be available for ALL employees as well as UNIQUE.
Often the email address, the UID or the sAMAccount have unique value.

File Sender Adapter - Dinamic Source Directory and Filename

Hi Experts,
I have to receive in XI a file and depeding of some info, put it in diferent directories with diferent fieldnames.
In receiver File Adapter we can set the directory and fieldname dinamically by ABAP-CLASS mapping, but not in Sender.

Your threath is not about my issue...
Answering to other friends, what I want is not to write p.e.: '/server/dir/' in each File Sender Adapter Channel, and put it with any other way looking some 'customizing' or checking a condition.
The problem is that frecuently in the Company changes servers and we have to enter to the Directory and change every Channel one by one...We would like to reduce the maintain of the Channels with a mapping, variable, customizing table...or something similar. Do I explain?
I don't know if its possible but I had the hope...:-)
