HP dv5000 battery won't get charged
I got myself a brand new battery for dv5000, but it will not get charged at all. I tried swapping batteries with a friend whose battery works fine in his HP dv5000 laptop... my friend's battery also refuses to get charged in my laptop.
Any help?

Whlile connecting iPad to computer, battery is not getting charged
What settings to be made so that when I will connect my iPad to computer, my Pad's battery should get recharge. While connecting iPhone, it is getting recharged but not the Pad.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. New Macbook battery won't hold charge?
I recently bought a new OEM battery from an online reseller for my Core Duo (August 2006) white MacBook. I had it for a few weeks and it worked perfectly (3+ hours of battery life, as opposed to the 7 minutes I had been getting with the original battery, don't perma-charge!), and then it just stopped. If I unplug the AC adapter, it turns off after about a second, and if I start the computer without the adapter, it turns off after about two seconds.
I've tried resetting the SMC and reinstalling the firmware, and the computer still runs off of the old battery (albeit not for very long). I'm having the same problem in my BootCamp install of Windows 7 as well.

It seems like other people are having the same problem? Admittedly, it could just be a coincidence and I got a bad battery, but I thought I'd pop in to see before I RMA it.
Message was edited by: eleraamaI don't think the battery is your problem. Here's things to check:
Try using another MagSafe adapter and see if that helps.
Make sure the connectors between the MagSafe adapter & the computer is clean, as well as the connectors between the battery and the computer.
Sounds to me like you have a problem inside the computer and that's why it won't run on battery power.

IPod Touch (5th Gen) Battery Won't Hold Charge
After the last update my iPod Touch 5th Gen will not hold a charge. I haven't had any problems with it until this 8.1.1 update. Yesterday I charged the battery up to full charge and used it briefly to listen to music in my car however here it is the next day and the battery is dead again. It is NOT playing while not in my car. Meaning nothing should be running the battery down because it's not being used. I know it's not playing because the volume is set to half way so I'd undoubtedly hear it if it was playing. It just won't hold a charge and for no apparent reason. Any suggestions?

I cannot get the battery on my iphone 4 to stayed charged. I charged it to 100% before going to bed by morning it was down to 35%. I've had the iphone 4 since January with no problems at all until I downloaded the latest update ....that's when all my problems with the battery began & my facetime freezes so bad I'm unable to use it & it worked great before the battery problems started.... the battery has lost all charge and I have recharged to 100 % several times and still will not hold charge......any information would be greatly appreciated...I'm so frustrated!!!

Need help with my Ipad 2, after few minutes of charging the ipad comes on, i can see the apple logo and stops there and the battery doesn't get full charge
Have you tried rebooting the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If the iPad will still not turn on completely, then you should probably restore the iOS software.

Battery 2 not getting charged in HP Split x2
Hi All, Not sure if this a hardware issue as I just bought HP split x2 but after the battery 1 gets charged fully (100%), battery 2 says 0% available (plugged in, not charging). Is this battery issue or am I missing something? Thanks.
Same problem here: I have the following
HP Split 13t-m000 x2 PC
Product number: E1N75AVOS Windows 8.1 No hardware has been installed or changed since I purchased the Split in October And I have had the "plugged in not charging" issue a number of times, and I am currently experiencing it again. Is there a permanent fix for this issue?thanks, I have run a "System Extensive Test" and the Primary and Secondary batteries both received OK(0) Also ran Battery test from Diagnostics page again no errors but problem still ocurring To fix the problem prior I had to patch the BIOS on the machine, I do not like that I have keep patching the BIOS every month to fix this issue. -
HP 4340s Battery does not get charged.
Hello everybody
I own a Hp probook 4340s. The battery was just fine, like holding up to 5/6hours charge. One fine (!) morning the battery stopped getting charged. I thought it was battery fault and I purchaged a new one and that also doesnot charge.
If I take out the battery the laptop works fine with the AC adapter. But if I put the battery in and plug the AC adapter the computer does not work, the indicator blinks 8 times in white color (generally, color of indicator is orange when it gets charged) and then stop.
I dont know where the issue is.. from the little I understand the battery is fine the charger is fine but for some reason the circuit inside the computer cannot charge the battery?!
Can anybody help please?
Thank you for listening me and highly appreciate if I get the right solusion.Hi,
Plese update the BIOS

Satellite S55-A5255 Battery won't hold charge
Like the title says this S55-A5255 won't hold a charge. From what I've been reading and stuff that this battery isn't "user replaceable". Which can be done. The trouble I'm having is trying to find a battery for this laptop. I can't find it no where! All major retailers and computer techs tells me that they have no idea where I can purchase this battery. Toshiba sells the laptop but tells me they no longer replace the battery if it comes in to be repaired. Plus since this laptop is out of warranty I don't want to spend several hundred dollars to get one battery. Does anyone know the manufacturer that sells these batteries or know anyone that sells it?

OSX Upgrade and new software purchases slow down Mac and Battery won't hold charge?
Any assistance appreciated:
I have recently upgraded my OSX from Snow Leopard, which I was quite happy with, and was ticking over very nicely.
And, today, I have problems???
I was using Snow Leopard, I purchased Mainstage 2 for my musical work... Nice piece of Kit..
I then notice 'Apple', bring out Mainstage 3 about 10 days later???
I check out the spec, will not run on my OSX...
I then check out Mainstage 3 and find that it would be a better version than 2..
I then decide that the extra stuff in Mainstage 3 is worth the price of an OSX upgrade, and the newer Mainstage 3 version although I had recently purchased Ver 2..
I do the upgrade, seems to have worked fine...
I purchase Mainstage 3, get that installed, and the Xtra's.... What is that all about?
It took me well over 12 hrs to get those...
Any road up, I get everything installed and functioning....
Now, my Mac is Slllooooow..
The Battery will not hold it's charge... Runs for only 2 hours MAX and then needs recharging???
The MacBook was bought only 18 month ago??? 2011 edition..
I have an IBM ThinkPad 240 and it still holds more charge than my Mac....
Help appreciated Folks...
For the dosh I have paid to 'Apple', the product and software should operate and function better than this???
And to honest, I aint spending anymore, until 'Apple' give me some answers on my problems.
Peace, Love n Laughter Cap Reg

Driod 4 keeps rebooting itself and battery won't stay charged
What do I do about my droid 4 constantly rebooting itself after the verizon wireless update that was pushed out March 23 or so?
1st my phone was frozen after the update and I had to request a replacement phone.
2nd the replacement phone randomly just reboots, whether I am using it or not.
The battery barley stays charged even when it's on the charger. I have all the data syncs off
I can't update my apps because the phone says it does not have network access., but I can make call and send text messages.
very upset about this, verizon should have tested the update further before pushing it out. there was nothing wrong with my original phone, now I h ave a large paper weight that has to stay hooked to the charger.Hi alval!
I am sorry to learn of the rebooting issues with your phone after the latest software update. Let's get your phone our the paper weight mode and back into the awesome wireless device that it is! I had similar issues with my phone after the latest software update and I resolved all issues by doing a factory reset http://vz.to/TZvgLF as this clears any third party applications conflicts and any potential system errors created while processing update. Make sure to back up all your important media before doing factory reset as this process deletes all media and bring phone back to original state. Keep us posted.

New battery won't hold charge after short usage
Hello everyone
I recently purchased a used HP nc6230 computer without a hard drive or battery. After putting a new battery and a hard drive into it I charged the battery installed the OS, windows XP pro, and used the system a few days and it worked fine. I followed the guidelines of the battery manufacturer to burn in or sync the battery pack without incident. Now a week later I turned the system on and it loaded windows, stayed on for about 2 minutes and then shut off. I hooked the charger to the system to charge the battery and the indicator light did not come on to show the battery was charging. I left it connected for about 20 minutes and tried to turn it on again with no success. Could this just be a defective battery or is there a problem withe this particular model computer? Any ideas? Thanks. You just have an older battery that has limited runtime. Losing 32% in 30 minutes indicates you might get maybe 1:20 runtime which is about normal for a 2 or 3 year old battery. I suspect what happened before is that the battery completely discharged which is not really good for it and sometimes causes the whole system to lock up. If it ever happens again, remove the battery and do the hard reset before plugging in the AC adapter. I suspect you just need a new battery. Where did you get this battery? It may be "new" in the sense that it was never previously installed in a laptop but batteries for that laptop might be as much as 4-5 years old and they do lose power and capability just sitting on a shelf.
