HP L7780 C8192A SN MY87L850HF ID 19140 - Your WIN7x64 DRIVERS ARE BAD BAD BAD NETWORKIN

Had trouble with Win7x64 Laptop. Would not connect to newtwork printer assigned 192.168.1.104 using our router.
Other identical Win7x64 Laptop workedd fine, so did two WinXP machines.
Downloaded a complete 300mb full install and removed everything, rebooted and installed the new sofftware.
Still did not work. Tried everything, even turned off Norton36, even though the other laptop worked fine with 360.
Tried it on. Then wentt ovver aand tried the laptop Win7x64 and WinXP and they could print!
The WinXP could also print using the shared printer from the problem Laptop Win7x64 because it stilll used its own driver. Same with the other laptop Win7x64.
Then I tried adding the shared printer from the problem laptop that had the new HP software, it required a new driver I guess because the BAD BAD BAD driver was newer. Zip across it went and now THAT laptop does not work.
I am incredulous that HP would be so arrogant that they thiink their DRIVERS are so good that they do not need to know when they have failled!!!   No email direct to HP and no Tech support because HPP is perfect.  This problem started long ago. HP Drivers have always been a problem. They don't have a business if their drivers fail, they'r name will get worse than when Carly Firorino had so many lousy productts out therre nobody in the company knew which end was up!!!
They used to be a great company, wish they stilll were.  Hope someone contacts me with a solution because I've got two Win7x64 Laptops that don't print   AND  I don't trust these drivers any more!!!!! BAD BAD BAD  -Which one works for Win7x64???
Bug the way the give away is that when you try to print to a printer and select it properly, no document even lands in the document que, someting is screwedd up with the driver..

  • Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later; Have been trying to fix for ages.

Hi Everyone, been struggling all day to restore my settings on my ipod, as my little brother has put a restriction password in place and made me not able to get into Safari, iTunes, Camera which I really need. I have tried everything, resetting my proxy settings, turning off the firewall, changing my network location, ran diagnostics. Everything seems fine on that, I post below my results. I also tried restoring from the device, but with the restrictions code in place I can not do so. And everytime I am dowloading the software update before the restore it comes up with 'Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later'. I have been using google for ages and am not sure what I have missed.
I am using Windows 7 with an Acer Notebook.

  • IPod Touch 4gen disabled "The iPod Software update server could not be contacted" Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active or try again later.  Please help!

My daughter forgot her passcode.  Her iPod Touch 4gen is disabled.  I've tried everything I've read online.  I get to the "Restore" part on iTunes and then I get the message, "The iPod Software update server could not be contacted.  Make sure your network connections are correct and your network connection is active or try again later."  How can this be so hard to do?  Why isn't there a simpler solution.  I live 2 hours from the nearest Apple store.  Any advice you may offer would be very much appreciated.

    Update Server
    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

I keep getting this error message when I try to log into Itunes, has anyone else seen this error?  If so how did you fix it?
Itunes could not connect to itunes store.  The network connection timed out.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and try again.

Have you disabled any firewall and security/antivirus programs?  This seems to have helped the vast majority of people who have posted the same problem in this forum.

I am having similar issues except that the store starts to load, then stops, then I only get iTunes Store in gray letters on a white screen. I can access playlist and the other stuff. Like flamesgirl, I contacted them and they just keep sending me links of stuff to try which I had already seen on the Apple website and nothing works. I posted the question on another forum I belong to and one responder said her husband was in an Apple store and asked about this problem as he was having the same issue. They said an update would be coming out soon as they were aware of the problem. Who knows.

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

  • ANOTHER Step BACKWARDS - NO, You CANNOT SEE Your LOCAL Calling Area ONLINE !!

Why check your LOCAL calling area? TO SAVE Yourself MONEY. If you can check the calling area quickly, you can tell if it will be a TOLL CALL. Sure, this is not an issue depending on your calling plan. It is to a lot of folks like me; and you may be calling from a different phone at times.
Up until at least January 2008 you could EASILY determine your LOCAL CALLING AREA on Verizon's website by entering your phone number. The link WAS
    http://www22.verizon.com/CallingAreas/localCallFinder/LocalExchangesList.htm , but NO MORE.
I SUSPECT it was discontinued because Verizon realized that by making a MONEY-SAVING 'device'
easily available was NOT GOOD FOR THE BOTTOM LINE.
I went thru all of Verizon's hoops to get an answer, but they have their roadblocks firmly planted.
Their is A LOT OF JUSTIFICATION for CONSUMER REPORTS to give its highest ratings to Verizon's SERVICES...... WHILE AT THE SAME TIME RATING THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE "DREADFUL".

    Hi GimmieDps,
I'm sorry you are having difficulty with your calls from home. I have escalated your concern and an agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue.

  • None of your preferred networks are available

    Hi,
I'm still having this problem. Whenever I turn my Leopard running iMac on, as soon as the Desktop loads a message pops up saying:
"None of your preferred networks are available"
The SSID name of my home WiFi network is visible in the list of available networks, but when I try to join it I get the message:
    "Connecting to network"
    and then
    "Connection timeout"
This problem isn't exclusive to my Tiger upgraded to Leopard iMac. It's exactly the same on a brand new late 2007 MacBook with Leopard pre-installed!
WiFi used to work flawlessly with Tiger. But with Leopard it's very unreliable to the point of being unusable. When are Apple going to sort it out? Nothing has changed with my Netgear DG834PN Router. It's setup exactly the same way it was with Tiger.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Reuben,
You're not alone. I have the same problem, and literally tons of other people do too. After running my search on apple discussions for "preferred networks" (my results url is: http://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?forumID=599&threadID=&q=preferrednetworkproblem&objID=c235&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=30&rankBy=10001 ) and finding 236 responses, it seems patently clear that the problem is a bug in Leopard.
I filed a bug report at bugreport.apple.com, and was given the "Problem ID" of: 5692458. My description, following Apple's requested protocol, may be found at https://bugreport.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/RadarWeb.woa/27/wo/ZC6cutwkbBEtt3 M1MEp67M/7.21
and other posters have recommended that as many others as possible do the same.

'The installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Web kit.resources\inspector\Images\Spinner Inactive Selected.gif.'
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Your Account is no longer synchronized with your device. Check that your account settings are correct. If they are correct, contact your email service provider.

    Hey everyone,
I have a Blackberry Q10 with T-Mobile and have had the following error message appear over the weekend:
Your Account is no longer synchronized with your device. Check that your account settings are correct. If they are correct, contact your email service provider.
My Blackberry is trying to connect to Office 365 for its e-mail. I tried to remove the account, then re-add it, but the e-mails seem to not come in as quickly as it should. I have also tried the Delete Prior and Mark Prior message options, but still no luck.
Does anyone have a solution for this issue? Does it have to do more with Office 365 or the BES server?
    Many thanks in advance.

Have had issues with z10 but try the following: -turn wifi off when activating Active Sync -do not use a double quote character in your password email account -try using Outlook account option in drop down list of email account types in your z10. Works great. Hope one these helps. BlackZ10
