HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw, computer doesn't remember printer, keep having to re install!

Hello,
Each time I install the printer on my computer it prints perfectly well. However the next time I come to print , after turning the computer and/or printer off and on, the computer is unable to find the printer and i have to re install the printer each time. This is incredibly frustrating and a previous printer (same model), which was found to be faulty in another way, did not have this problem!
I look forward to hearing from somebody to help up resolve this issue!

Follow the steps below Step one: Clear temp directory 1. On the Apps desktop right click the mouse, and select all apps. Type %temp% in the run app.2. Highlight all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to delete. If you get a message that the file is in use you will need to skip this file(s).3. Continue with Step 2 below Step two: Downloaded and extracted to your system:1. Download the full feature software and drivers http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-110033-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4132&product=3752459&sw_lang= 2. Once the download is finished double click on the file to extract the software.3. When the installation window opens press the cancel button to stop the installation4. On the Apps desktop right click the mouse, and select all apps. Type %temp% in the run app.5. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)6. Right click on the folder, and select Copy7. Close that window, and all your open windows, and then in the middle of the desktop right click your mouse, and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder to your desktop.8. Open the 7z folder you just copied to your desktop9. Open folder Util10. Open folder CCC11. Run the uninstall_L412. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer13. Run Disk cleanup by holding down the Windows button and R at the same time to pull up the Run prompt and type cleanmgr.exe and press enter. Select all the boxes and delete everything. Click on the link below regarding this tool and any disclaimers. Disk cleanup 14. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player Adobe Flash Player Update 15. Open the 7z folder, and then double click on the Setup.exe file which will be toward the bottom of the open window. Follow the on screen instructions to reinstall your printer. I just spent the last two days on this and have finally sorted it out. It actually isn't that hard to do but for some reason, no one has consolidated the information in one place!
First and foremost, make sure that you have all the latest and greatest firmware updates for your printer, your computer and your mobile devices.
Next, you need to connect your printer to your network via an ethernet cable, this is the only way to get in to the printer softare to configure it for your wireless network.
Navigate the printer menus on the keypad to Reports>Config Report and print this report. It will provide you with the IP adress and IPv4 address for the printer.
With the printer connected to your network and powered on, point your browser to the IP address of the printer. If this doen't work (it didn't for me) use the IPv4 address.
This will open the configuration panel for the printer and will let you configure the wireless for the printer so that it can join your wireless network. You will see various tabs across the top. Select network. Then along the left you will see wireless. Choose that. Now you should see a list of wireless networks available including your very own home network. Choose that one, enter your password and hit apply.
Disconnect the ethernet cable and you should be ready to Airprint from all devices. This worked for me, I can't imagine it won't work for all...then again...

HT4356 HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw MFP. AirPrint issues.

My printer, the HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw MFP, is listed above as an AirPrint-enabled printer model, but I am still receiving the “No AirPrint Printers Found” message. Since I have successfully printed from three PCs connected to the WiFi, I know the HP M1217 wireless printer is working.
Not a Apple network.
2 PCs running Windows 7 and one XP.
iPhone 5.1.1
Can anyone help my iPad and iPhone 4s find the printer OR explain why these devices do not work and my three PC do?

HP Laserjet Pro M1217nfw, support for ePrint Home&Biz on Android devices

Got my new LaserJet Pro M1217nfw installed on my home (secure)wireless network and am printing wirelessly from 3 windows laptops.
Started trying to get my smartphones to connect and print to it. Droid X Verizon, running gingerbread latest Verizon update. Download ePrint and ePrint Home & Biz to it. Upgraded my printer to latest firmware and SmartInstall, got an EPrint email address assigned to it. Am able to ePrint from phone just fine, but Home & Biz does not print, it detects printer and says has printed the file, doc, or pic but nothing comes out on the printer. I see from your lists of supportted printers that it is not
supported on th 1217nfw. Is it planned to work on it in the future? Can you give my some hints or workarounds if it is possible to get Home and Biz to work?
I tried the Wireless Direct feature on the printer, but really don't understand its purpose, since the printer and my phone are both
connected to my local wireless network, why does the wireless direct use a different SSID and assigned a fixed IP address?
anyway disabled that feature.

At this time ePrint Home&biz app is not supported on the HP Laserjet Pro M1217nfw. Other than ePrint using the printer emial address there isn't another solution with an Android device.

I´m having problems with my wifi an my new Macbook pro. It doesn´t remember the network so every time I log on - I have to "join a network". I have "ticked" the "remember password" box. I´m connecting to a wireless network on an regular Speedtouch router at home. I´m new to Mackintosh.

Try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
In the windows on the left side: Select login for Keychains and "All Items" for Category.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color Multifunction Won't Print PDF Files

I recently encountered a problem where my HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color Multifunction would not print PDF files. I tried printing from Preview, Adobe Reader, Word and PDF Pen Pro and the document would not print. But the printer had no problem printing other formats such as JPG, DOCX etc. from the same computer both before and after.
What happened is that the computer indicated it sent the document to the printer and the printer screen showed "Printing Document" momentarily - but then the the printer screen would return to the Ready screen and the document would not print. There were not indications that the printer was having a problem.
I reinstalled the HP drivers - no change.
Finally I was able to print the document by opening in Photoshop and saving it as a JPG.
I am running OSX 10.9.2. on a MacBook Pro.

I understand you are unable to print PDF documents.
I will be happy to help you.
Check the driver name. If it shows HP Laserjet CM1415 - Airprint it would be the Apple driver.
Delete it and add the new driver in for just the HP Laserjet CM1415. You might have to click on the drop down to select it from the list.
Here is a screen shot for a example. Different printer showing though.

laserjet pro 200 color mfp m276nw stops printing giving an error message that the is memory low. How do I clear the memory?

I have had the same issue, cannot print multiple pages without having the memory low error appear. I have cleared the faxes from the setting menu. I have done an NVRAM reset and am able to print a 3 page document once and then receive the low memory error when I attempt to print another 3 page document. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw doesn't print under user account. Windows 7 Pro x86

Dear Sirs,
We found a bug using HP CLJ Pro MFP M177fw on windows 7 pro 32-bit edition.
In our company we use custom folder to keep temporary files of all user accounts. It is C:\temp. So in the environment variables window we have user variables TEMP and TMP with the C:\temp path. System variables TEMP/TMP are the same.
After installing MFP's driver, under accounts with administrator rights we can print normally. But when we use account with user rights print doesn't work. Trying to print windows test page, we receive error message "Test page failed to print" and spooler state is clean. When we change user variables TEMP/TMP on default %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp, we can print testpage successfully.
With older model HP CLJ Pro MFP M175 we have no trouble at our customized operating systems.
Can we hope on fixing print driver with regard to this problem?

The printer is connected to the network. The status os showing connected and also i can print from my iphone with no problem. But my macbook doesn't want print wirelesly.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are unable to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) for your Laserjet P1102w to setup ePrint.
To better assist you, would you please supply some additional information?
What version of Mac OS X are you using on the MacBook? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Are you able to Print a Configuration Page for the printer? Please try method two. If you can get the configuration page printed, please post it here. It might give me a clue as to what is occurring. If you unsure please refer to the post by @Daniel_Potyrala titled How to take and post a screenshot on HP Support Forum
Have you installed the full feature software and driver onto your MacBook?

HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425dn won't print text at 72 point size or larger

My workplace recently purchased an HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425dn all-in-one printer. It works excellently with the exception of the fact that it won't print text that's 72 points or larger in size. I've tried numerous fonts that're pre-installed with Windows, and all of them print properly at point size 71.5 or smaller; anything else simply doesn't show up in prints. The content that's sized at 72 points or higher *does* affect the flow of other printed content on the page, however. It's like the 72-point or larger text is occupying space, but it's completely invisible on the printed page. I've tested this using Microsoft Word 2002 on three separate computers, two of which have Windows 7 installed and one of which has Windows Vista installed. The problem is identical on all three computers. The printer is connected via ethernet cable to our wired network. I've installed the included printer software, and I don't believe that there are any updates to it that weren't installed up to this point. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?

hello, i only made an account to solve this for you guys because it has been a headache for me also.... let me apologize before hand for terrible grammar and punctuation i am in a huge hurry Now this may not work for everybody but i fixed it on my machine with the following now before you print ...use (ctrl+p) in your word processor to open the print window click on (properties) then navigate to the (advanced) tab now, I have a section called printer features under this category there is an option to "send truetype as bitmap" enable this and see if it can help any of you, for me, with this ENABLED I can print any size font my word processor will allow me to type specs of my machinedell d6420win7msoft word 2007 printer itself is hp laserjet 200 color m276 printer driver is HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276 PCL 6 i understand that this printer and driver is not identical to yours per se but the nature of these drivers makes it highly likely that this solution will work for most of you if this helps, have somebody else post it more noticeably because i will probly not be signing back in to this website i created this account just to post this and hopefully solve this annoying issue for many of you ...no kudos needed

Run the Windows updates and update your browser.
Try printing from another browser to see if you have the same results.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What internet browser are you using?
What operating system are you using?
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)

Laserjet pro 200 color MFP won't print cyan

My HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw printer has stopped printing cyan. It does it for files sent to the printer as well as just trying to make a copy. The cyan cartridge has been replaced and status shows full. I've run all the onboard diagnositics, cleaning page, etc. with no luck. How do I determine the problem and fix it?

Hi , Thanks for getting back to me! It's not abnormal to see some print quality issues once your toner is lower that 20%. Were you able to complete the steps in the document that I sent? Is there any cyan on the print quality printout at all? If not, it could be a defective toner cartridge. I would suggest contacting HP Support to inquire about a replacement if it is a Genuine HP toner cartridge.**Fill in the model number and the form to receive a case number for quicker assistance. I have windows 7 64 bit HP laserjet pro 200 color mfp m276nw and do not see a print preview option. Is there a way to get this? In Linux I use print to ps file and ghostscript to view. Our oldink jet had a print preview option. I did see a message for another printer that there is no solution. Any help would be appreciated.

You would have to use the print preview, from the application that you are printing from, under File, Print Preview.
Most applications have this feature.
