Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your HP Officejet 4500 ALl-in-One Printer is stuck on 'aligning'. I would like to work with you today with resolving this issue.
Now did this issue start after you installed a new cartridges?
I'm going to provide you with a standard troubleshooting step to resolve this issue.
Step 1: Power Reset:
With the printer stuck on 'aligning' just disconnect your power cable from the rear of the printer.
Keep the power cable disconnected for 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds plug the power cable back in.
Your printer should turn back on on its own once reconnected to power source.
Once the printer comes back on, does it continue past the alignment successfully?
In the meantime, I'm also going to provide you with the HP Alignment Failed troubleshooting document. Please take a look at this document and run through the step-by-step instructions.
An 'Alignment page not detected' or 'Alignment failed' Error Message Displays on the Printer Control...

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that that printer is stuck on the Configuration page and it will not move on.
I suggest that you cut all power to the printer and let it sit for at least 1 min and then reconnect the power. This will do a semi reset on the unit.
Here is a document that will give you instructions for Resetting the All-in-One.

HP Officejet 4500 Wireless Printing Issues with Online Maps & Financial Institutions

I have an HP Officejet 4500 Wireless printer that I have wireless connection to my HP G72 Laptop running Windows 7 (64 bit) with Internet Explorer 9. I am having trouble printing online maps from either Bing Maps or Google Maps. It seems the print jobs get stuck in the print que and always show an indefinite status of “Printing” in the que but never get printed.
I’ve tested my other applications including Office 2010 and all other jobs seem to print just fine. I do use the “Print” button located in each of the online Map sites (Bing, Google). This is when the jobs get stuck.
I do also have the HP Bing Bar installed with Smart Print. The Smart Print feature seems to work with the online maps just fine (seems I’ll just use it instead).
Another separate printing issue is that I can never get any of my online financial transactions to print from any of my online financial institutions with either the Internet 9 print features or the HP Bing Smart Print feature. I can never get those to print (have to wait for the PDF statements to be available).
Any ideas as to why I can print the maps or online financial transaction? I get no error messages either.

'Quick Fix' for HP Officejet Pro L7580 Printer & 88XL Yellow Cartridge Popping out problem!

After reading other forum comments from people having the same problem with the yellow cartridge popping-out, combined with others who have realised that HP have no interest in compensating anyone for this rediculous example of, at best, 'bad design', or at worst 'blatent planned obsolescence', I have created a solution that may add another 1, 2 or more years of life to the HP Officejet Pro L7580 Printer.
This is not the elegant technical solution I was hoping for. However, in hindsight, it may prove to be a more reliable solution than replacing the faulty part that is actually causing the problem. So, here it is the solution ........
I found a wooden triangular door stop that I cut to size that fitted exactly in the space between the plastic door and the offending yellow cartridge. To hold it in place, I wrapped the doorstop with 2" cellotape, then I stuck the door stop to the inside of the plastic door with double sided cellotape (double sided stick-on foam would also work well). With the doorstop in the correct place, the plastic door closed perfectly and was snug enough to apply sufficent pressure to the offending yellow cartridge, and hence stopping it from popping out again. To make sure the plastic door does not 'fly open' with the pressure of the yellow cartridge (when it wants to pop out!), I applied another piece of 2" cellotape around the outside of the door, holding it to the body of the photocopier.
This exercise only took 10-15 mins to do. I feel this is a much better option than spending another $300+ on a new All-in-One system, as well as being a good environmental solution. If this is DELIBERATE 'planned obsolescence', companies like HP need to be more accountable for, at best, 'sloppy design'. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Officejet pro 8600 printing

I have had an 8600 for a year now - since last Thursday it has become really slow at printing. When I click print, it can take two minutes before the printer takes the page - and if there is more than one page to print I can be waiting 10 minutes for a five page document to print.
Can someone give me an idea? I've reset the printer after alighing printheads and cleaning printheads - it's a bit of a coincidence that this happened a year after getting it.

I noticed that your HP 7600 and 8600 printers are printing slowly. I am sorry to hear this but happy to help!
Some questions, if you do not mind:
How are your printers connected? Wireless, Ethernet, or USB?
What Operating System are you using? If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos.
If you make a copy, Copying a Multipage Original, does it print at the same slow speed?
In the meantime, please see the following:
An 'Out of Paper' or 'Pick Motor Stalled' Message Displays for the HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-On.... (This guide, will help you clean the rollers etc.)
Print Jobs from Your HP Printer are Stuck in the Print Queue. (Even though the guide title may not match your issue, I believe the solutions will help.)

Officejet 6500 duplex printing paper jam

Every time I run duplex printing, paper stucks inside duplexing unit. It just gets smashed.
Is there a solution for that?

I have just bought an OfficeJet 6500 and am also having major problems if I try to use automatic duplex printing. The first side prints ok then waits a while to dry but when it tries to print the second side the printer jams every time. When I remove the duplexing unit the paper is always concertina'ed between the unit and the rollers inside the printer. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be really grateful! This is one of the features I was hoping to make use of.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer series - A809 Slow Response to Word Print

When I try to print from a Word Document the HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printer series - A809 Printer takes on average 1:24 to respond and print. When I go into the printer's settings and print a test page the Printer takes about 3 seconds to respond and print the document. The Printer has a Dual Side Printing add on and the optional paper tray.
Do you know what could cause such a long delay for the printer, especially when it only happens with word and other Microsoft Works Programs?

Wireless printing problem with hp officejet 100 mobile printer from win 7 dell laptop

My hp officejet 100 mobile printer was working fine with my dell XPS 15 in bluetooth wirelessly until my laptop crashed. Now I can not get it to print internet info except with hard wire connection. Page loads half way and then stops. Must shut down laptop and shut off printer or hard wire and shut off bluetooth. down loaded lastest drivers to no avail. printer will print from cell phone and win 8 computer via bluetooth but not win 7 laptop.

Sorry you are having problems with printing from the internet. I have a few more questions to ask you before I can be of much assistance.
What web-browser are you using?
Do you have any problems printing from Word or other non-internet documents?
What did you do to fix your computer (system restore, clean install of the OS, etc)?
Have you tried an alternate web-browser?
Make sure to install all of your Microsoft updates to see if that helps. Otherwise, answer those questions for me please and I will be happy to help.

I own a vizio tablet and a HP Officejet 100 mobile printer! I downloaded your Hp eprint home&biz app so I could print from my tablet and the download went will, I also registered via email. I went to print a form and your app could not locate my printer? Please advise,

Hi Chuck,
HP ePrint Home & Biz only provide print capabilities over wired or wireless (802.11) network connection, Bluetooth connection is not supported as well the specific model is not supported by the app.
Can I print from the HP ePrint mobile app using USB or Bluetooth?
No. You can only print directly to supported HP printers on a local wireless network.

Our hp officejet 6500 e710 printer will not print. it is networked, i can print a test page

We have a Officejet 6500 E710 printer connected to a HP Pavilion dv7 latop via our home network. Windows 7 op sytsem.
I can not get documents to print from the laptop.
The network connection appears to be good.
I can prnt a test page from the laptop and get it to scan but can not get it tp print any document or web pages.
It shows Status "Error printing"
Any advice would be appreciated.

Ctopkis, Make sure you have updated your firmware. Here is the link to the lastest firmware that was posted on 02-18-2012.
Firmware upgrade is for HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter - N811a

Hp officejet Pro 8100 Printer Tray

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8100 printer. I removed the paper tray this morning to load paper and now I can't get it to slide back in all the way. It stops about 4 inches short of closing. I feel like an idiot! How can I have problems sliding a drawer in? Are there any clips etc. that I should have in place, etc. that might have come off?

You might try lifting the front of the printer to see if anything is obstructing from your desk. It should slide right back in.

I am a new iPad (wi fi version) owner but not the new iPad 2. I have a home wireless network and have a HP Officejet J6480 wireless printer. I print from my iMac and Powerbook directly using the wireless network and want to print directly from my iPad also. Do I need a special app for this or can I do this with something already "built-in" to the operating system of the iPad.

I don't get it, I read one post about why would we have to buy an AirPrint Printer when we have used the "print to a wifi printer" just fine in the past? Yes I feel that's exactly what's happening to me now too. I want to print from my iPhone and iPad to my WiFi Printer which is also now connected to my Airport Express WiFi network just fine. No problems.

My HP office jet 6500 printer is stuck on pause. I do not have an admin name or password as it is a wireless printer and I never had to set one up. It keeps asking me for admin name and password...

I have checked all diagnostics and connections and they are all good/passed. I am so frustrated!!! This has never happened in the past.

What is asking you for an admin name and password? What does the dialog say, exactly?
What model iMac are you using, and which OS version?
If it is earlier than Lion or Snow Leopard, try deleting the printer and adding it again as explained in this document
