HP Slate Tablet use abroad

I have a HP Slate tablet which I have used abroad with Wifi and it works brilliantly. However next month I will be taking it to Spain and for a few days I will be without WiFi.. The Slate came with its own HP datapass which is fine for limited use in the UK.I have never removed the datapass but understand it is micro sim size?Has anyone got any ideas about what will work in the tablet whilst I am abroad? I must know for sure as I can't risk getting it to Spain only to find it doesn't work......

It also runs on the Three network too Well thanks for that. Who knew? in fairness I have only ever used the Slate over WiFi when abroad. The datapass is only 250mb so I never gave any thought to trying it mobile data wise.Thanks Rich...( I will top up the datapass...and probably get a 3 sim as well just to be doubly sure)...Tardis.....

Did you enable roaming on your a/c before you left? You may still be able to via your online a/c. Buying a roaming pack doesn't in itself enable roaming.

Samsung slate tablet pc

Hello all,
I have a Samsung Slate Tablet pc. Running Windows 7 Pro, 64Bit, SP1. Trying to pair the WiFi Mobile Mouse to it?
I contacted Samsung and they were helpful but did not resolve the issue. They transferred me to their advanced tech support and at that point after about 2 hours I was not in the mood to be transferred another time. I was never connected to advanced tech support.
I called HP and was connected to an agent and she transferred me to tech support and that turned out to be another agent. I was transferred to an agent and explained what I went thru and explained my issue trying to connect the mouse. After wards I was transferred to another tech support agent. Finally explaining the whole thing over again I was transferred to their advanced tech support and giving my ticket numbers to them to having not resolved the issue.
I have done some research and from what I have read there are a lot of thumbs down for this WiFi mobile mouse. People were saying that they can not connect ti the WiFi mobile mouse. From what I have been reading there are hard ware and or software issues connecting The WiFi mobile mouse
UPDATE: It will pair for about 2 or 3 seconds and then drop from network, says undefined network - not connected!
Any thoughts.

I understand you're unable to pair your HP WiFi Mobile Mouse to your tablet.
Have you tried pairing the mouse to any other devices to isolate the issue to the mouse or the tablet?

Unfortunately, there is no Firefox for WebOS. 10.1" tablet uses full install of Windows 8.1

I have just purchased a new tablet. It is an "Unbranded" Windows 8.1 - 10.1" - Tablet - 32GB. My question is where does this tablet fall into on installation. yes I believe it is. I am having a time trying to determine if this tablet will do what I need it to do. I have a desktop and laptop that will have no problem running any Adobe application, I was just looking for something small that I could do some drawing/sketching on the fly. I wanted to save up and get a 24" Cintiq so I went really low cost. The stats are almost identical to the ASUS Transformer Hybrid Tablet. The part thats got me is the display is capacitive touch and I want to use a pressure sensitive fine tipped pen. I also want to be able to draw on the device that I am looking at and not look at my monitor. If it will not work I would like to just exchange it for something that will work in the same price range, Unfortunately the person that helped me at the store knew less than I did.

I managed to restart it but kept getting a message come up on one ot the dual screens ' restart using the power swich to turn it off , then press it again to restart.'
This worked okay , but now it just keeps freezing whenever I start it up. I thought the issue could be my old Epson Expression 1680 scanner not being compatible , so I have unplugged it. I also had a look at the new memory I installed when I got it, but this seems not be the problem.
It is connected up to an Eizo Flexscan S2231W using a cable straight into the HDMI input , the other monitor is a small Acer using the VGA into Thunderbolt port.
When I turn the Eizo screen on first and then press the power button on the mac-mini, I hear the chime then the screen flahes the 'Digital no signal' message on and off for about 30 seconds , then the monitor comes on as normal. But it is still freezing up on me after using it for a while and I am having to use the power switch button to turn it off again.
Can anyone help please.

I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen.

Im using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 with AIR, im a bit of a novice when it comes to this.
But for university I have to make an application for an android device that plays short videos.
Ive imported the videos onto the library and placed them on the stage and it runs on the test of my machine but once publish the app to test it on the tablet all i get is a black box. done some reseach into this and cant find the resolution.
like i said im a bit of a novice and this is a whole new area for me. any help/advice would be great.

Hey, did you get any solution to the problem? I'm facing the same issue. but my videos are in a separate folder and using ADDCHILD i'm trying to attach them on the stage. they work fine on desktop but not on android. i also included the video folder in android packager.

Photoshop continues crashing with tablet use

I've been having this problem for a little over a week now, with little to no solutions found.
CS3's been installed in my computer since 2011, and I've been using a Wacom Intuos4 tablet for almost as long. For a few years now, they've worked perfectly fine together, no problems whatsoever. About a week ago, Photoshop started crashing anywhere between 5-10 minutes into opening a file. At first I thought it was due to a recently downloaded brush, but I have since deleted and removed that abr file from my system, and the problem persists, no matter which file I use.
Thinking this was simply a problem with the version I was using, I downloaded CS2 from the Adobe site, but the problem remained. I've tried verifying and repairing disk utilities already (I have a mac), checking my RAM (which is in plenty, and was working fine for years, as I haven't made any major changes that would case it to be a problem), and resetting preferences upon opening the software. With none of that having worked, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my tablet driver (as PS only crashed when I was using the tablet), and that didn't do anything, either. Updating the driver to its most recent update only made it worse.
I no longer have the CD for CS3, and am afraid if I try uninstalling it, that I won't be able to get it back. However, that's the only solution I can see right now. Before I spend more money on either an upgraded Photoshop, tablet, or both, I was wondering if anyone else might know what could be causing this? I have all my crash reports saved if they're needed, but have no idea where else I can turn with this problem, as I'm in no way tech-savvy, haha.

Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter. I'd suggest downloading and burning a disc as a backup to replace your lost CD. That, with your serial number, will allow you to reinstall the product.

With the debut of many new tablets from HP, there are now varying models of "Slates" with different specifications.
For example, we now have the HP 7 1800, Slate 7 28xx/46xx, Slate 7 Plus 42xx, Slate 7 HD, and the Slate 7 Extreme 44xx!
The Slate 8 Pro, Slate 10 HD, and Slate 21 have also arrived.
These devices have different options, and some have different reset procedures.

Unlocking a phone for use abroad

I will be traveling abroad in the fall for three months. I would like to suspend my Verizon service here and unlock my phone so that while I am abroad, I can obtain a sim card to use in my current phone (droid charge) . My two year contract is up with Verizon, and I'm paying for the same plan on a monthly basis. Is this possible?

Traveling abroad sounds like so much fun isovist! You are able to suspend your account for up to 90 days in order to keep your mobile number. To have your phone unlocked, you need to meet certain account requirements. If this is a 4G device, it is already factory unlocked. For 3G, your account needs to be active and in good standing. You can contact global services for more options with unlocking 800-711-8300.

Yes, you can use one folio size for all Android devices. A 16x9 aspect ratio usually works nicely if you are only interested in Android devices and don't already have an iPad design.
Note that we do not support in-app purchase on Kindle devices.
