HP5510 Photosmart e-print. Every 20 seconds or so in Win XP the clock symbol appears.

Since i installed HP5510 I frequently see the win sand clock while doing nothing. I do not have my printer always on since I fear to dry and clog the print head. I guess the sand clock comes from my computer looking for the wireless printer, which is off.
If this continues I will deinstall the wireless printing and go back to cable printing.

As you are so good I do have another problem. I have another 2 pc's on the network that show on the iMac but iMac cannot conect to. One is XP and the other is Vista both with Norton fire wall installed.

My data is all in the hard drive .. . I even tried the Internet recovery but no use !!!! but still no respons and the recovery and macintosh hd is now lock! but earlier only the recovery is lock and after both of them is lock. i can reinstall,... and i didnt try to back up any data bec i dont know how? so please help me to resolve my prroblem.?

Sorry, possibly you need a new hard drive or try reformating. First
you can try something like http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/ it has been known to repair disk that DiskUtility could not. YMMV and they don't give it away.
If Disk Warrior can not repair then you need to Reformate the drive. Make sure you have a back-up in place no matter what.

Adobe Acrobat Distiller Prints every second page blank

Running Windows Vista with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1. When the user converts web base html document ( IE 8) to PDF in Legal format we end up with every second page bank or the footer over printing. We have changed the header/footer settings in Acrobat and under print properties to no avail. Other cleared cache reset IE users have exactly the same Vista image and install of Acrobat Pro and it is not an issue.

I have this issue and then I try and hit the home button to exit the app and it won't let me so I have to double click and bring up another app and then go to the home button to exit. It's quite annoying.

As soon as I log on to Firefox this pop up appears on the screen saying Java Script Application and under neath it it says uninstal and beside uninstal is a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark inside of it. Every time I click the mouse the pop up reappears over and over. It's really a nuisance and I need your help.The word uninstal is spelled like you see it, even though it's spelled wrong.Thank you and God Bless

Other users have reported that this is caused by one of their add-ons. I suggest going to the Add-ons page and disabling everything that is not essential, and then restarting Firefox. Hopefully it's not caused by something you really rely on.

Then disable as many as possible and restart Firefox.

HT1363 whenever I do this, the apple symbol appears for a second and then it has the red cross symbol again - which tells me to go to the support part of the apple website; so i end up back where i started, anybody know what i can do?

I just wanted to restore my ipod nano, it told me to go to the support area of the apple website which i did andi followed the steps and they worked for about 2 seconds and then it told me to go back to the support area. it is fairly old but i dont understand why it will not reset?

Windows 7 driver for photosmart premium printer

I have installed windows 7 on my hdx 16 and I need drivers for the photosmart premium printer 309c. Anyone have any luck getting the two to work together?

The latest Vista drivers for this printer on THIS page shows one of the enhancements as supporting Windows 7. So it should install fine. Do notice that this is the v.13 software.
EDIT: Just downloaded the version 13 software, and tried installing it. It seemed to go through fine, though I don't have the printer physically here. Check the screenshot.

How do make the photosmart 6525 print with airprint?

I got a Photosmart 6625 printer running on my home network and got the HP driver downloaded into my Windows XP desktop.
Printing from the PC wirelessly works, but how do I make the printer show up on iPhones and iPad as an "AirPrinter"?
Hitting the "select printer " icon on them gets a "no AirPrinters found" error. They are on the same network as the printer

As soon as the devices connected to your network the printer should appear as AirPrint.
You may ensure it is connected by clicking the wireless icon on the printer screen to locate its IP, then type the IP into Safari and check if you can access the printer homepage from your iPad.
If the printer conncted but still not being detected as AirPrint, ensure you have the latest firmware for your printer:

If the printer still not being dedected I would rather suspect the network as AirPrint uses Apple Bonjour and therefore require your network to support multicasting to operate..
You may test it by temporary setting direct connection using Wireless Direct, if the printer being detected without using the router please clarify your router brand and model to better understand your router capabiities.

Trying to install new HP Photosmart 5520 printer but a screenkeeps coming up saying that the computer OS version is not compatable and to load all updates which I have done but it still won't let me install the printer.

So, what version of OS X do you have? If it is 10.6 or higher, download and install the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
If it is 10.5 or lower, it is time to upgrade your OS X and/or Mac.

Ipad cant be used - keeps flashing 'enter apple id password' every second

Hi,
I turned on my iPad 3 today and it is unusable.
Every second it flashes up with the following - Sign in to iCloud.
It wants me to enter an old apple ID that has been disabled.
I cant sign in to make the flashing stop, and I can't do anything else as the flashing is continual every second.
I have tried turning the iPad off, resetting by holding home and off button.
I thought I would reset to factory settings and just lose my data but that isn't working either!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sammyhunter lets get you back in action! Has there been any physical/water damage to the device? Try pressing and holding the home and power button together. Once the Apple symbol appears release both buttons. Keep us posted!

Can you post the permissions on your Home folder?
Open Terminal, copy and paste this command. Copy the output and post here. If you want to mask out your user name, then paste the output into a text editor and use Find/Replace to change it to something like "username" before pasting it in here.
