HSRP standy router IP not showing

Hi,
i have got 6509 with l3, now with the below said configuration, i couldn't not able to the standby router ip address, instead it shows me "unknown" but for others vlan it shows me the standby router ip address, is that because that i had put access-list & will the access-list has affected that?

Hi Anand,
Both the routers are thinking themselves to be active if you check the sh stahndy status which you have pasted "Local state is Active"
This means hello packets are getting lost between the 2 routers and they are not able to detect which is active and which is standy router.
Your accesss list can be one of the reason because you have allowed only 4 set of ip addresses and rest are implicit deny as per access list rules and HSRP hello packet carries 224.0.0.2 in its hello packet as destination address.
Can you permit this ip in your access list and see what happens.

  • EA4500 Router Device not showing up in device list - Please Help

    Hi all
I have an EA4500 and am using Cisco Connect Cloud software. Its working mostly fine except that I have one device on the network that will not show up in the device list. This is not an issue in itself and normally I would ignore (although it used to show up when I forst got the router) however.......
The device is a WDTVLive media unit and required access to windows shares on a media server. Now the WDTVLive device is server an ip address by the router and is available from everywhere on my network but every couple of days it loses the capacity to search windows shares.
I know what you are thinking and I initially thought the same, this is an issue with the WDTVLive box. However one day I spent a few hours trying to resolve (Am an IT Consultant and know a little about networks) and found that I could not fix the issue. I then rebooted the router and it started working. I have since confirmed that every time it breaks I have to reboot the router.
So I kind of think the two issues are linked.
Sorry for the ramble. Can anyone help please.
    Thanks in advance
    Alan

Further to this issue which I ignored as it did not really cause any issues, I recently clicked a samsung tv device which thinks that is three different devices. It has three lan addresses listed. One of the addresses listed is the original device that will not show up so I suspect that this is why it does not show up.
It seems that I have a conflict but I can find nothing anywhere to allow me to resolve.
I cannot even delete the Samsung TV device as its x button is not editable.
Should I just try removing the cloud connect software. I must admit that I am starting to think that I made a bad decision with this router.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Print Preview in routing does not show text

    Good morning all...
We have a user who is attempting to preview their print job, and currently the print preview function in the routings does not show the standard text.  It displays the page number but nothing else.
I am trying to obtain more information from the user now, but was wondering if this is something that anyone else may have run into.  I will be updating this message with more details as I obtain them.
    Thanks!

Hi Matt could you please tell me how do you solve your issue? I have the same and I cant find the solution.
    Thanks a lot

  • BRF+ Routing Rule not showing Expression

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a BRF+ routing rule (line item by line item) within SAP Standard Process ID - SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST
The purpose is to use it as a detour based upon Role attributes. Although the rule is generated in ABAP screen, when I try to modify BRF+ rule, the Expression where decision table is located, not coming up.
When I test it, it gives error - Expression not set.
What could be the issue? Need your help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sabita

    Hi Sabita,
Definitely look up those courses! I'm an instructor for them in the UK and these sorts of questions are exactly those which most people ask on the courses!
GRFN_MW_S_ROUTING is a structure which contains those two fields. This should be the Result Data Object which will then automatically place those two fields as the results.
The Condition columns are user driven inputs where you give the criteria for the routing rules e.g. Business process or role criticality etc.
For routing rules or initiator rules, there are two sources for the information; the request header (attributes of the request) or the request line items (attributes of the roles on the request). There are some fields which may exist in both (e.g. Business process for the access request or the business process assigned to the Role) which explains why there are duplicates in the list. When selecting the conditions, scroll right to the bottom of the list and you'll find the Structures which show Header or Line Item. If you expand those, then you will see the list of fields again. By doing this, you'll know whether you're looking at the header or line item field.
Select the appropriate fields as the columns and then add in the rows to identify the specific criteria.

  • My Ipod WiFi shows the Ip Adress and Subent Mask but the router will not show when it says I'm connected

When I try opening Safari it says cannot connect because not connect even though I am connected. When I go into the settings my Ip Adress and Subnet Mask show up but the router or DNS. I have tried resotring, resetting and forgetting the network but nothing has fixed it so far

What iP address is shown?  If it starts with 169 yo never connect to the router.
Have you tried powering off and then back on your router?
Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks?

    Hello,
The core switch has got a static default route pointing to 10.192.61.1. It has got a better AD value than the EIGRP routes.
Even if you are redistributing the BGP routes into EIGRP, EIGRP default route will not make it to the routing table because of the higher AD value than the static route.
However, you can view that it the EIGRP topology table. Check 'Sh ip ei topo'.

  • Production Order routing not showing process time

    Dear Guru's
After creating production order , routing is not showing processing time, though its maintained in the standard values. What could be the problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    PPQMUSER

    Hi,
U should check ur processing formula used in work centre. If it is correct and your routing is showing correct data then do READ PP MASTER DATA in your production order.
    It will help you.

  • RV180 not showing up in traceroute

    Hello all,
I have a RV180 router that is not showing up in a traceroute. I have multiple VLANs configured where the clients are on one VLAN and the servers are on another. Inter-VLAN routing is enabled and I can ping back and forth and everything works. However, when I do a traceroute from one VLAN to another, or to anywhere outside the network, the router shows up with the source address.
Here is an example of a trace from a client machine on one VLAN to a server on a different VLAN:

I'm not understanding why the router is not showing up as the first hop. Or at least why it looks like router is being hit but not responding properly. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Have a 1st generation Apple TV, which is not showing as a device in iTunes. Had no problems with Apple TV until I changed from a Windows PC to an iMac. I have changed my IP address, sub mask address and router address in the Apple TV, Can anyone help?

I have a 1st generation apple TV, which was working perfectly until I changed from a Windows PC to a Imac. The Apple TV will not show in Itunes. I have changed the IP address, sub mask  and Router IP address. Since changing I have switched everything of and on again. Can anyone help?

I have a new router and computer. I have just remembered that just before my old PC died on me, I transferred my iTunes library to a hard drive. I can't remember exactly just how I got my library back, but there are definately things in my library now that were in my library on my old PC! Hope this makes sense. What do you mean by same location? Do you mean in the same place in the house?
Another difference I have just thought of was my old router was connected directly to the computer bu I have not been able to do this with Sky as my PC is not near a phone socket! Will this make a difference?

  • Show run does not show usernames configured on the router

    Hi everyone,
I just tried doing a show run on a router. However, the usernames configured within the router does not appear in the show run. I am currently using a console interface to log into the router. Anyone has any idea why the usernames are not shown?

    Hi Bilal,
    Sorry for the late reply.
    Answers are as follows:
When you log in, are you prompted for a username? Yes
Do you use the enable password to log in: Yes
    When show user is run:
    Line User Host(s) Idle Location
    0 Con 0 idle 2d23h
    *226 vty idle 00:00:00 <ip address>
When the show run | begin line command is run:
    line con 0
    exec-timeout 0 0
    transport preferred all
    transport output all
    line aux 0
    transport preferred all
    transport output all
    line vty 0 4
    password <password redacted>
    transport preferred all
    transport input all
    transport output all

  • I have a mid-2010 iMac and just purchased a 2TB TC, can't join existing wireless network with AC standard so attached to iMac via ethernet with TC wifi turned off.  How do i access TC now? not showing up in disk utility or on desktop. working fine with TM

I have a mid-2010 iMac and just purchased a 2TB TC, I just found out that it can't join existing wireless network with new AC standard so attached to iMac via ethernet with TC's wifi turned off.  How do i access TC now? not showing up in disk utility or on desktop. It is working fine with TM.  My cheeper seagate drives etc kept crashing, so i didnt trust cheeper back up options anymore.  Connected those drives to TM via firewire and could see the drives and access them.
Also, I didn't want to bridge TC with my new fios router that I paid 100 dollars for, to get N speed and also paying 10 dollars more a month for fast speed.  I heard that bridging slows down everything and then there can be port issues with mail etc.  I connect to the internet via airport only and it is pretty fast. Getting over 50mbs downloads and over 30mbs uploads.  Plus everything in my home it connected to my fios router, airport express for music streaming, two apple tvs, vuezone camer system.  I really didn't want to monkey around too much with my system.  But are there other options to connect the new TC.  Can't find info anywhere for this and called apple who gave me the info above.  after hanging up, i see that i cant access my TC and I am wondering if i would have to reset it to turn wifi on again to make changes to the drive, turn off blinking light  or repair it in disk utility if it should become corrupted.
For other with similar issues i did solve some other problems: when i connected it to my ethernet port on my iMac wifi stopped working.  Found that I had to turn off the ethernet in the system>network screen, but then TM didn't see the TC so i restarted after changes and then it saw it.
Now a rant.  I can't believe in this wireless age that Apple would make a product that cant join a wireless net work.  The apple rep said i could return it and look for the previous TC that would join an existing wireless network.  Are we going backwards?
    Thanks!

Ok... it is getting a bit clearer but there are still some questions.
I connect to the internet via airport only and it is pretty fast.
I was assuming airport in this statement in your first post meant the TC or the Express.. but I now realise we are still in the mass confusion stage where apple calls everything wireless an airport. So what you mean is the airport internal card of the computer??
Also, I didn't want to bridge TC with my new fios router that I paid 100 dollars for, to get N speed and also paying 10 dollars more a month for fast speed.  I heard that bridging slows down everything and then there can be port issues with mail etc.
    I think this is mistaken.
Putting the TC in bridge mode plugged into your FIOS will not slow the network.. nor will it cause mail or port issues.. in bridge the TC is just a fancy WAP and switch plus the network hard drive.
If the computer is close it will be faster than the FIOS.
You can run both wireless networks with different names.. so it is clear which is which. But you can also setup roaming so the computers themselves pick which is the best wireless.
I tried extending the wireless net work and tried joining wireless network, but the TC kept crashing and I had to keep resetting the TC.  the Apple support person said these, extend wireless network and joint wireless network, are no longer a connection option with the new TC because of the new AC protocol.
    Thanks again!
You cannot extend to a non-apple wireless router.
You cannot use join a wireless network because when you do the ethernet ports will be cut off.
But that has not changed.. I don't think Apple support is correct.. there has been no change with the AC model.. it is simply a fact that apple routers do not work in join wireless mode other than as a dumb client. The same applies to AC as to the earlier version.. but I have asked another person to check this.
Join in the express is the only apple router that still allows an ethernet connection.
For now you best use of the TC is bridged to the FIOS. Wireless you can sort out between several options.
