Why doesn't apple send you to the actual info on the update they want you to install. (6.1.3)
It treats you like an idiot - someone who shouldn't question what they're doing. BTW, their spellcheck just prioritized "doping" as a replacement for "doing" after I had finished the word. Siri good, autocorrect - the enemy.
Sorry for the late reply, had knee surgery and have been out of it for a few weeks.
I did the restore and it fixed the issue with the phone always reverting back to my old iTunes log in information, as well as the amount of crashes the phone has. Now I only have to reset the phone 1-2 a day to alleviate my issues. Mainly being the keyboard shortcuts not working, the wifi connecting to my airport extreme base station then when I pull up safari it drops the connection, and iMessage seeming to just quit from time to time. I did start to have another issue though. Some times when I go to hang up the phone the end call button doesn't work. I could press it 100 times in a row, hold it down and nothing. Then wait have to wait and try again after a few seconds or tell the other person to hang up on me.
Hopefully apple mods read the forums and help use the complaints for future updates.

It certainly sounds like your harddrive is dying. I would Immediately backup your harddrive to an external USB or Firewire harddrive Before doing anything else. It just may save your data in time before you lose it all.

You got it downloaded and I assume you mean it is installed as well. It was buggy for me.
I had to close and restarted iTunes before I could use it properly.
Then, I had to unplug and replug in my phone before it recognises it.
Just had to try everything. As final choice, update over the air. I try to avoid it as it tends to have more problems than a tethered update. -
I have reached out to this community as my Iphone display gone black and got the solution to keep home and power button pressed. It worked but I would like to know
1. Why it went black and is there a permanent fix for this
2.Will the IOS gets automatically updated as I feel the IOS was 5 when I got the phone in 2012 december
3.Do you suggest 7.1 for Iphone 41. There is no way of knowing. These things happen.
2. The iOS only gets updated when you want it to be.
3. You should always update to the latest iOS your phone will support. Apple do not write the updates to make your experience worse. -
Hi,
For no apparent reason my phone stopped working...so I did a reset and got the message 'Restore Needed'. I connected to iTunes and got this message: 'iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on your iPhone before it can be used with iTunes'.
The problem is, I can't enter my passcode because I'm not given that option on the iPhone. All I seem to be able to do is make an emergency call.
It's been working fine otherwise. Any suggestions?
This is the SECOND replacement iPhone I've had this week and I'm getting a bit fed up.

If so reboot your iPhone and enter the passcode to get it operational. Launch Image Capture on the Mac and connect the iPhone. Now you should be able to download the video files to wherever you want on your hard drive.

Sorry, but the iPhone backup is an all or nothing deal when it comes to restoring. It is not designed to be user editable & one screw-up, attempting to do so, will make the whole backup un-useable.
If you want to give editing such a shot, post back, including the OS on your computer, & I'll tell you how. -
I have recently got a new replacement iPhone 4. Since I got this I have found that my data allowance is getting used up during the night while my phone is charging on the bedside table. How an I find out what is causing this and stop it happening? Some nights the usage is 150 meg!
You can not access the backup directly.
Did you restore your replacement from this backup?
If so then you already have everything in the backup on your device.
If not, you can wipe the device and restore from this backup:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
What is it you are worried about losing that isn't already on your current device? -

Your phone was "hacked" to unlock it. So, if you update software or restore your phone, it will be re-locked to the carrier it was originally locked to in the UK.

I'm new to this forum I was told I could get some help here. I need your help with an issue that I have on my network. As the title says, my DHCP server is not assigning addresses from a specific pool.
Information about the topology:
I have to sites linked with a VPN site to site connection. In the first site I have a DHCP Server, In the second site I have a client that should get an address automatically from the DHCP. I installed a DHCP relay agent on the server that manages the VPN
connection on the second site with a correct configuration. All other configurations are done right I verified a couple of times. I checked the connectivity with a ping test between the client (with static address for the test) from the second site to the
DHCP server from the first site, it is all working. The problem is that the DHCP server is not assigning addresses from the specific pool. All machines (4) run on windows server 2008 r2.
Thank you for your time and support, just tell me if you need more informations.I fixed the problem it is working now, apparently it was the VMnet cards that caused the issue I've just reseted their configuration to default state. I've had the idea after you asked me to check DHCP address assignement on the same site. One more thing
to do now, switch from the workgroup to a domain.
