It may be that it is stuck loading. You will want to probably first attempt a Hard Reset (Home Button + Power Button for 5-10s until it restarts with an Apple Logo then let it load up) and see if this will get it working.

I have a Toshiba Laptop and I dont know the exact model or anything, might be a windows 7...i have no clue. Every other answer is saying to uninstall then reinstall but i really dont feel safe doing that without all my songs externally saved (just incase) and now i cant even get into itunes! When I clicked to open Firefox the update bar appeared and an update loaded. Usually when this happens Firefox will open up when the update is finished. This time it did not open. when I clicked on the icon again the blue screen opened and said something about a new installation and if this was the first time you have seen this screen restart your computer and try again. I restarted the computer and when I clicked on the Firefox icon the "hour glass" would appear like it was trying to open but it never would open. I don't know what else to do.

We used whatever Windows program to transfer over all the files. Don't really know what we are doing, but the music is on my computer and it won't let me transfer to my iPod. This is incredibly frustrating since I've never really had a good experience with iTunes. I just don't use it very much. I feel like I have to be missing something stupid. Please help.
On the new computer launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar (top of your screen) click Store > Authorize This Computer
Now try syncing your iPod. -
Itunes was updated on my windows computer and now itunes will not work
While downloading an update of itunes, I rec'd an error message that it was not installed successfully. Now if I try to start itunes I get a message "APSDaemon.exe system error Program connot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program 4 times with no success. I tried doing a "repair install" with no success. Another error message I rec. is Apple Mobil Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I am the owner of this computer and I have been using itunes with my ipad and iphone for several years with no problem on the upgrades.
Please help this is very frustrating and time consuming . I have run McAfee full scan and ther are no issues.Try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

You need to tell us exactly what version of the Macbook Pro you are trying to update. Lion will only run on systems that support 64bit computing. For instance, the MacBook Pro Core Duo can not run Lion. It requires a "Core 2 Duo".
Also please describe exactly what Error Message you are seeing. -
I have received a message - "i Tunes could not connect to the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (-3212)" Any ideas as to how to rectify? I have re=installed i Tunes onto my laptop and checked firewall for Apple/i Tunes acces!!

Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. I have an apple id which I have been happily using to purchase from iTunes and it appears magically on iPad and iPhone, MacBook and partner's iPod touch. Now I have done something wrong in iCloud and my mobile me Id comes up on iPhone and iPad so I can no longer purchase using this and i can't find a way to reset What should I do? I want to be able to buy apps from iPhone and iPad from this same account and still synch with my mac book and share with my partner's iPod touch.
Any suggestions?We are users, not Apple. We cannot trace your phone, and neither can Apple.
Please change every password you have. Posting your email addresses and Apple IDs on a public forum is insane. Hopefully a Mod will edit them out for you. -
when syncing with itunes, got error message saying had error and now ipad2 will not do anything other than showing the USB cable with arrow pointing to Itunes on screen. have done the reset and restart, but still get same thing. Ipad does not show up in itunes even though cable plugged in. Have shut down and restarted Windows 7 computer.
I had done all of that to no avail. I did call Apple Tech Support and after he suggested I try a USB port in the rear of the Win 7 computer, things starting working again. I had tried switching the USB port at the front of the machine but that had not helped. Everything is good to go again. thanks for your reply

Try double clicking your home button then force close the stuck PDF by swiping upward. Once you've done that just click the home button again to exit.

I have two Ipad's and tried to create two ITune Libraries on my computer. Now cannot find the original library on my computer and the Ipad will not syc?
You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

I have an iPhone 4 thats i was trying to fix and now it will not turn on at all is there anyway that i can access my pictures and contacts from my new phone or pc? Aslo the are both on the same apple id but i dont know if that would help or not.
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.
