HT1338 Java is not updating in the update software menu?

Jave is not updating on my Mac Pro? I choose the update menu and the program that needs it is still not downloading? The same program is downloading fine on my IBM Desktop but not apple?

I don't see the relevant part of the code i.e. where are you actually reading the system date?
You should also understand that a Date should NOT be stored as a formatted String. That makes it something that is not a Date, but some representation of a Date. Not the same thing. And you'll probably lose some precision in the process as well. The formatting should only be done for the display.
This means that you'll probably save the postedOn and closedOn etc as longs (by getting the time in milliseconds from the appropriate Date object). Then when you need to show that data to someone, that is when you use SimpleDateFormat and get a String that is in some appropriate form like mm-dd-yyyy or dd-mm-yyyy (and that's another argument for not saving a formatted String. What happens if the user is in the USA where the dates are conventionally written as mm-dd-yyyy?).

Exactly the same for me. Have tried to update three times and my iMac has restarted (after apparently downloading the update) but the update has not been installed.
My iMac is still at 10.8.3.

Sorry for being unclear.
When I am using the update in the App Store App, there will be a list of various applications that have updates to be installed (Final Cut Pro will be in this list). I will already be logged in with the Apple ID I use for everything (my dev account). I will be able to update all of the other various applications needing updating except for my Final Cut Pro. When I click the update button next to the FCP update, it will give me an error saying "This download is not available for this apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled"
I have not had any applications refunded or cancelled and this has only happened since my update to Yosemite. FCP was working fine until the upgrade. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

Try going to recovery mode as described here. You may have to try this more than once to succeed.
Use the original iTunes that the iPhone synced with.

I just upgraded to Photoshop cs6 so that my new camera (Nikon D7100) would work in Camera Raw. However, it will not download from the "Update" option in CS6.

However, it will not download from the "Update" option in CS6. I have tried over 10 times - it just says update is not working. and I cannot find an alternate way of downloading this file. So I still can use my camera, even thought I paid to upgrade. HELP please.

What OS do you have? You say you have explained what you had (computer/opsys) but I honestly don't see it here. If you had mentioned that my advice would have been different; I believe you can only upgrade as far as Camera Raw 8.3 on an older Windows system. There is more information here (look specifically for the "Revert to 8.3 ..." titles).

What you've done/written in your last post confuses things further, unfortunately. Photoshop 13.1 is strictly a Creative Cloud version. The highest you can go is Photoshop CS6 13.0.1.3 with perpetual license.
And as far as I can recall, that version can work on Windows back to XP:

I don't think you're out of luck, but you seem to be leaping into doing things without having the full story, and are jumping to conclusions a bit too quickly.
Here's what I suggest you try:
1. Remove Photoshop entirely with the Creative Suite Removal Tool:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
2. Install Photoshop CS6 from your original media or from here:
Download CS6 products
3. Update the application using its own Help - Updates process. That really should get you the latest Camera Raw version that will work. If that does not bring you a Camera Raw that works with your Nikon, use the "Revert to 8.3" instructions above.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
If when you choose restore you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the file below

Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (3rd generation)
Then hold down the option key while choosing restore and select the downloaded file when prompted.

I am trying to start up and configure my playbook, however, I can't get past connecting to wifi without getting the msg "Could not connect to the update server. (2032)"

As a new OS came out yesterday it could simply be server is busy.however if you use the desktop manager method the PB must be completely off. If you can't do that by normal methods hold down On and - vol buttons for at least 10 sec til it goes off. Plug in, then quickly respond to the request to update. Version should not be a problem if you approach it that way.

This error can be generated if there is no Wi-Fi connection, retry connecting to the Wi-fi access point or try connecting to a different wi-fi access point and try again.
