HT1766 A message popup tells me that my ipad has not backed up in two weeks. Now my ipad is locked and I cannot cancel the message, turn it off or slide to unlock. What do i do?
I have a pop up message on my IPad that says it has not backed up in two weeks and now my ipad is locked and I cannot use it. I connected it to electricity, it is already on Wifi, and locked it with the button on top. But the message has not gone away. I cannot turn it off or remove the message or or slide to unlock. What can I do?
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

The HT1766 article you attached lists the prerequisites for an iCloud backup:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Please try to make a "hard reboot" by holding down the home button + the power button (at the same time) for a few secons until it start rebooting.

My Ipad mini has a message on the screen which says 'this ipad hasnt been backed up. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi. This message does not dissapear no mater how many times i press ok, as a result i cannot do anythingon the ipad.

my ipad will not let me open the screen to do anything due to an icloud back up message saying that the ipad has not been backed up in 2 weeks.
When i tap ok nothing happens i cannot slide to unlock the screen to connect to the internet or for anyother function.

I'd give these troubleshooting steps a try, they're for when your iPad appears frozen or unresponsive:
If the device is unresponsive or certain controls aren't working as expected, try restarting
To turn off the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Slide your finger across the slider to turn off the device.
To turn on the device, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), try resetting
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds.

Why do I get messages telling me that Time Machine has not backed up?
I have a Macbook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.1. Time Machine sends me messages that my computer has not been backed up in hundreds of days. I just attached the hard drive two days ago and the light was on. All instructions say Time Machine works when you plug in your hard drive. How can I tell if it actually backed up my computer?

I have an iPhone 5 IOS 8.1.2;
for the past 13 weeks I get the message that "this phone has not been backed up on the cloud". However, every night it is connected to wifi, phone is connected to power, and the screen is locked. Any idea why back-up is not happening ? By the way, I do not have the "back up now" option in Setting / iCloud.. My mini Ipad is frozen with a message saying, This IPad cannot be backed up because there is not enough Icloud storage available. You can manage your storage in Settings. But it is locked up and I can't get into settings or turn it off
Try this: Hold the power button and home button at the same time for about 10 seconds or so, then let go. This should have reset the iPad. Hopefully the iPad will show the boot up Apple logo.

I think since I downloaded the latest version of Firefox the problem started; about 2 weeks ago, and I cannot make any search because I am redirected to " w3.mict.go.th" which then times out. So I have been using IE to search, and firefox seems to work fine other than the search function.

How can I stabilize my crashing iBook app. ?
Have you tried closing the iBooks app completely andseeing if it works better after you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with iBooks 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iBooks app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
