HT1766 I broke my screen and the phone is only a little over a month! Is there an option that is less than getting a new phone? We bought a replacement but it's too complicated.
I broke the screen to my new iPhone 4s and we purchased a new screen online but it is too complicated to install. Any solutions you can provide that won't be too expensive?

You mean they won't have to pay the price for a new phone to replace the broken phone with a refurbished phone thru Apple.

There is no way that you or the staff at Apple can tell the difference. All they can do is identify it as a service replacement.

One day I relalized that the silent/ringer switch on my iPhone 4 stopped working. My phone is permently silent and I can't turn the ringer on. The speakers still work so they aren't the problem. Also, the volume controls on the side don't work either. Is this problem fixable or do I need to get a new phone?
you can try the restore first to make sure it is nothing software related. makesure to back up information and restore as new. after that it is hardware if your with in the limited hardware warranty and can be replaced for free if you are not then it can be replaced for 149$ if it is a iphone 4 or lower

So my phone got wet the other day. I dried it out completely, but the touch screen still isn't working. Is there anything I can do short of getting a new phone? Anything that can be done at the nearest Verizon store? I am one of three phones on our plan and I am trying not to need to get a new phone before our contract expires next month.

We're sorry to hear that your phone isn't working. It's very important to have a functioning touchscreen! Let's explore your options OK? If the phone is taken to a store, troubleshooting can indeed be done. The store representative can even contact us while you're there. Do you have insurance on the device? Or, do you maybe have a prior vzw device that can be activated until the upgrade is available? You can also check your My Verizon account to see if your line( or another line on the account) is eligible for an upgrade. VZW always has options for you.

Was your cracked screen fixed by an Authorized Apple Service Provider? I may be wrong, but I didn't think they fixed such things.
Regardless of who fixed it, and whether it was an authorized repair or not, I recommend bringing it back to the agency that fixed it in the first place. But note if the repairing agency is not authorized by Apple, you may not want to spend much more money on repairs there for this unit. -
my on off button on my iPhone isn't working and it has been for several months but i went to the apple store today and the warranty was only 16 days over is it possible to get it fixed for free

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer for just such an occasion.

After removing all apps that I can and photos I only have 4.4 gb available storage. Have not yet added any music or videos. Is there any other way to reach 4.7gb or any other way to install the update?
You don't have to remove anything if you do the update via your pc with i-tunes.
Then you need only 1,1 GB. -

View your landscape photo with your phone in the upright position.
Tap on the photo once so the background goes black
Take a screenshot now by pressing the round button and the top button together.
Go back into your photos and find this new screenshot - then apply this as your wallpaper. You should be able to resize it :) -

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

my iphone is now just coverd with case and the back house is crasedEtisalat, Mobinil and Vodafone provide warranty service in your country. You can also search Google for a 3rd party repair shop near you.

My screen is lifting in the corner and the phone is in an otter box and in immaculate condition. Took it in and the manager told me that it's my fault and insinuated that I bent the frame on purpose to get a new phone! I just want my phone fixed. I don't want to pay 300 for another phone when they have already fixed the screen once as it wasn't working.
So call AppleCare and ask to be transferred to customer service and talk to them.

iPhone 6. While talking on the phone, email interferes w/audio for other party. Email message pops-up on the screen and the other party cannot hear me until I click "close" & remove the message. Ideas??
Alex, thanks for the reply but it did not answer my question. I only want to turn off notifications & interruptions while I am on the phone. For this desired result, the only way the Do Not Disturb feature would help is if I manually turned it on before each phone conversation. Since my phone rings at random times, this is not possible. Basically, I just want to "opt out" of call-waiting. When I had a landline I never had call waiting. I don't want to be interrupted. But beyond that, even if I am being interrupted why are these notifications preventing the other party from hearing my voice?
