When I finished backing up my iphone 5 to my hp pavilion laptop I got an error message R6034. Itunes shut down and I have not been able to reinstall it. The error message says an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. My computer is more than 5 years old and I have never had this problem before. Last night iTunes on my PC tried to run an update. Prior to the update, it was working perfectly. At the end of the update I got an error message R6034, an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime Library incorrectly. Any suggestions? I have also gotten a message that iTunes is not installed correctly, to reinstall. Reinstalling give the the same two errors over and over. Restarting my computer does nt help.

Every time I try to run iTunes I get an error message sayinh: An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime incorrectly. What does this mean
Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components; this won't affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Itunes will not open, it says R6034 an application has made an attempt to load C runtime library incorrectly, then it says service apple mobil device failed to start
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
