My problem is that since almost 2 hours the window is black, with the Apple logo, and the startup line filled at the very beginning. I own a Macbook Pro, I noticed that this product USB ports are made for the original iPod and iPhone USB's entrances, not for the new smaller iPhone 5 USB connector, so if I plug it in all, the computer doesn't detects it, so I need to take a little out. Well, I downloaded all my apps, because this iPhone is new, so I downloaded my apps bought and stored on my computer and then installed the software.
Well, it reseted as you said, and then the window went just like I described, but accidentaly the cable went out a bit, cutting the installation process. Then it froze and keeps like that. I did the buttons thing, but doesn't work. Is there something I can do? Happy Holidays and thank you!

OS 10.5.x is the max OS for Macs with a PowerPC processor. If your iMac has an Intel processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard OS 10.6.x and possibly Lion OS 10.7

If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:

Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

i have bought a film from itunes and the credit has come out of my account, but i can't find the film anywhere, it said it was downloading, then i left the laptop and on return i couldn't find the film. how do i find the film?

it was a rental from itunes and the previous movie played no problem. From ipad on mirror.
Was an internet connection available?
I'm not sure I would ever play a rented movie by mirroring from an iPad as mirroring is lossy and reduces quality.
It may actually not work via mirroring.

I purchased Weeds from iTunes and the audio is very messed up ( loud like a lawn mower ). The video is fine. Audio is fine on all other purchased shows, Netflix etc. Any suggestions?

Set up iMovie Theater and iCloud
In order to take full advantage of the capabilities of iMovie Theater, you must be signed in to iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, movies and trailers shared to iMovie Theater are automatically uploaded to iCloud. You can also turn off automatic uploading, and upload just the movies and trailers you want, or delete individual movies and trailers from iCloud. If you sign out of your iCloud account on your Mac, all iCloud movies disappear from the Theater, but they are not deleted; the movies reappear when you sign in again. Set up automatic iCloud uploading
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and click iCloud.
Make sure you’re signed in, and then select the Documents & Data checkbox.
Click the Options button next to Documents & Data.
Make sure the iMovie checkbox is selected.
In iMovie, choose iMovie > Preferences.
Select the “Automatically upload content to iCloud” checkbox.
To turn off automatic uploading, deselect the checkbox. -
HT1349 New software versions of iTunes and Safari hanging my XP system.

My version of iTunes on my new Mac Mini does not have any menu at the Store button other than some items refering to iPhones or Ipads, and then what you want to search for, such as books, etc. Where do you find the "authorize" info on this newer version of iTunes? You are looking at the Store menu at the top of iTunes e.g.
On iTunes 11 you can also enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S so that it looks more like previous versions. -

Short answer:
Click Hide Song(s), it is what you wanted to do...
Long answer:
iTunes in the Cloud is a feature of your iTunes store account that allows you to redownload or stream your past purchases. When you delete a purchased track that is downloaded to your computer (like the first one shown here) you are asked if you also want to hide the song from iCloud. This would remove it from the computer and also stop it showing up with the iCloud symbol as the other tracks from that album (which are not downloaded) do.
If a track shows with the cloud symbol you can play (stream) it by double-clicking the title, or click the cloud symbol to download a local copy to your library. If you try to delete one of these tracks you get a slightly different message confirming that you want to hide the track. Clicking hide will remove the listing from the library and any other device that shows your past purchases.
Should you want to retrieve any item hidden in this way at a later date use Store > View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Hidden Purchases > Manage.
To hide all your previous purchases that are not downloaded to your computer use Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.

I downloaded an album I purhcased a few days ago but one of the album's songs did not download. I received an error message, #499, for which I can get no explanation or interpretation of what error #499 even is (other than generic terms). All my efforts to re-start the download have failed. I've tried several times to download the file to no avail, tried the cloud service to no avail, and re-started the computer to no avail.
My main intention is to, of course, get the download completed. My secondary intention is to, hopefully, bring to the attention of Apple - iTunes staff, the grossly inadequate, dare I say cryptic, error message descriptions iTunes displays.

Out of excitement, I bought both seasons of the tv show "Sym Bionic Titan" from the itunes store, since I can't find it anywhere else, in hopes of being able to burn them to dvds and watch them. When I burned the disc from itunes, it would not play in any player I put it in. Not my dvd player, not my ps3, nothing. So the only place I can watch the show is on my computer, which is definitely not what I had in mind when I purchased it. Is there a way to burn the videos to a dvd that will play in a dvd player?
Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.
