HT201272 I Purchased an Audio Book on my IPAD, unable to down load from my account to my IPOD
Yeh Purchase Audio Book but unable to down load on to another device - ie my IPOD
I've updated purchase and backed up both devices but still unable to select or even find Audio books to Play or down load
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading, and they aren't included in a device's backup). You should be able to copy it from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (it should copy over to the Books part of your library) and you can then sync it to your iPod

I downloaded (purchased) an audio book on my iPad 2. I can not find it. I wanted it to go to either iTunes or i book. No where to be found. However I did get verification they got my payment.
It should be in the iPad's Music app (iTunes on an iPad it just the store for buying/downloading content, and iBooks is for ibooks, PDFs, epubs i.e. books for reading) ? When you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library. -
I purchased an audio book, it doesn't appear in my purchased list nor in the audio books list. I have a receipt for it but if I start to down load it again, I get charged. Where did the audio book go and why doesn't ITunes recognize I've already paid?
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store, so if you download it again then you will be charged - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download.
Is it still on the device that you downloaded it on (if it was on your iPhone then it should be in the Music app), or do you have a copy on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -
I've just purchased my very first audiobook from itunes as I'm driving from the midlands to Newcastle this afternoon. I thought a book would make the journey more manageable. But now I can't find how to pay the book back! I can see it in my itunes library and play in on my computer, but not on my device (which I have synced since making the purchase). Can anyone tell me where my audiobook is hiding please? Thanks
Can you find the audio book by using the Search feature on the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the audio book to the iPod?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Note you have to check the boxes in Books pane for the iPod in iTunes to sync books in general and another box to sync Audio Books. -
Upgraded from a 2009 to 2012 Imac with lion. Successfully transferred all media and music with exception of audio books. Same Apple I.D. & I-tunes account.
Apple support unable to help. Have done all the routine i.e: ITunes store, click on purchased, etc. Audio Books not shown in history.
HelpAudiobooks are currently a one-time only download (which I think is a requirement from audible.com who supply them). Have you not got them on a backup ? If not (and I don't know if this is what you've already tried) then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

If I try to repurchase the audio book, it tells me that I have already purchased it and asks if I want to pay again? How can I get this book back?

I purchased an audio book on my ipad and I cannot get it on my iphone?
I purchased an audibook on my ipad, how can i get it on my iphone?
Make sure you have iTunes match turned on both devices and both devices are syncing with the same Apple id.
If that doesn't work sync your iPad with your computer manually, then do the same with your iPhone. -
I purchased an audio book through my ipad and it didn't download on my iphone 4s. How do I download it onto my iphone without purchasing it again. I have tried syncing my ipad and it only shows up on my ipad but no where else.
This helped me to upload it onto my computer but when I synced my iphone it did not upload. How do I get it to download from my computer if syncing it didn't work?

Hi
I have purchased an audio book from iTunes with my iMac.
Now I wanted to listen to it on my iPhone so I proceeded to transfer the purchase and looked for the book in the purchased section of the store in the iTunes on my iPhone but it did not show up.
Does anyone know why and how I can transfer the audio book purchased on my iPhone so I can listen while away from the desk?
Thank you,
SanyaCan you find the audio book by using the Search feature on the iPod?

I had purchased an audio book from itunes on my iPad and when I synced my iPad with my computer, my audiobook disappeared. I have already purchased this audiobook, so now I just need to know how to get it back because it is not on iPad anymore. I don't think the audiobook was backed up to icloud but I have the receipt to prove I purchased it. Is there anyway I can get it back?
"If I purchase an audio book in iTunes on my iPad why can't I listen to it on my Mac? "
You can. Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer. -
I purchased a audio book to listen to on my commute to work. It only works over wifi, that does me no good in the car and the book is hours long for audio. That will eat up my data. How can I get a refund?
How are you trying to listen to it ? You shouldn't need to be online to listen to it, I don't for any of mine. If you've downloaded it directly on your iPad (or synced it from your computer) then it should be in the Music app (you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button in the Music app when you have audiobooks on it) - is that where you are trying to listen to it ?

I purchased 2 audio books that have disappeared!
I purchased 2 audio books about an hour ago, one didn't download at all and has disappeared from my computer and iTunes all together. - though when I tried to re-purchase it was showing that I had already done so! The second audio book downloaded Part 2 and Part 3 but Part 1 has also disappeared from everything!
iTunes is showing no "Available Downloads" so i'm stuck & really need help!Audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store. If you haven't got copies of them in your iTunes library nor on your backup of your downloads/library (and if you haven't moved countries since buying them and they are still in the store) then you can you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

My iMac was synchronised to my iPod in the store I purchased it. When I purchase an audio book it is not synching accross to the iPod. Am I missing something ? What would happen if I use the 'sync' button again?
Yes. Other things have synced including books, but I don't know how these happened. According to the 'audible' instructions it should happen automatically, but it doesn't.

I have downloaded/purchased an audio book to my ipod & it is in German. Is it possible to convert it to English?
You can't convert it yourself. What does the audiobook's description page in the store say. does it say that it's in English in German ? You can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
