I should have mentioned that I have signed out of the iCloud Control Panel several times and no syncing occurs.

I went to the ICloud Control Panel 2.1 to enable iCloud photos, the area to put a ck mark is grayed out and won't let me enable it.
This is on my HP desktop Windows 7. I have iphone 5 and newset iPad that do fine on iCloud.

You might not have the plugin for Firefox installed. Adobe has two different versions of Flash - one for Internet Explorer and another for Firefox. Internet Explorer uses ActiveX. You can check if Firefox has the plugin by going to:

In Firefox, go to this link and Adobe should give you right correct installer:

upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done. HELPIf you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

i have just dowloaded the icloud control panel on my PC and i am am able to see everything that has been pushed to icloud from my ipad. However i cannot see my email. i can send from the computer using icloud, but i do not see any mail that is being received by my ipad, which is set up with my mail server. What haven't i checked lol?
turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I have downloaded ICloud and set up my account on my IPad as well as downloaded the ICloud Control Panel on my PC (Windows7/Microsoft Office7). My problem arises when I go to sign in on ICloud on the PC. It will not let me set up. I receive the message, "You can't sign in because of a server error.". Please help. I spent all day yesterday trying to make this work for the syncing of photos, at least. Thank you for any help.

my computer (window 7) give me message "photo stream is not enabled. when i go to icloud control panel on computer (icloud version2 ) for activation. its not being activated. i tried many times but failed. when i check the photo stream option and apply its shows that its ok. and after closing when i again open icloud panel the photo stream option remains unchecked that means its not activated. please guide me.
Had the same problem. I uninstalled icloud, restarted my pc and reinstalled icloud and it's working fine. Hope this helps.

From the icloud control panel I am unable to check the box for photos, any idea why i cant?
Can anyone help, please. I never had this problem before but now I can not check the photos box on the icloud control box...its the faded gray area and I can't select that option.
What worked for me and others was to uninstall icloud, restart pc and reinstall icloud.

Can't upload gedcom to Rootsweb since last update to Firefox have to use IE.
Since the last update I cannot update my Family tree on Rootsweb and now Ancestry.com no longer highlights the matches in its newspaper collection so it is very difficult to find them. I've had to use IE to upload my gedcom to Rootsweb. I had the same problems with Ancestry in the early days of Firefox but it has been fine for some years now and it is only the latest update that has caused these problems.
PS I tried to send a message to support but the submit button wasn't working.Ahh. Excellent to hear. Thank you for the information. It's good to know it wasn't me missing something obvious. As a temporary work-around, I went back to the previous version of FF because I do a lot of ebay related work. I'll be looking forward to the fix. I presume it will be an ebay fix rather than a FF fix.

When trying to back up to icloud from phone, have followed instructions but there is no option to select the tick box for mail, contacts, calendars and tasks. It just refers me to the icloud. When I go to the cloud, the only thing that's backed up is my contacts. Any ideas?

ThanksIt was a CCC clone, and I had 2 versions, One that runs monthly and one I made because the computer was acting wonky. I called Apple because the Mac gave me an error message on my Time Machine disk, telling me to copy the backup to another drive and reformat. I was unable to copy it to the new drive because it said I didn't have the proper permissions. After trying several things, I deleted the data and reformatted. The drive is one of my older ones, so I suspected it was really bad. (Turns out drive is good according to Apple) So no time machine backup. However, I figured I had two CCC files, so there shouldn't be a problem, still thinking it was my external drive that had the issue. Talked to Apple who finally sent me to a store. The Genius said that it was actually the HD in the iMac that was bad. I told them to go ahead and replace, thinking I had double backup at home, as well as an online backup system.
I was unable to restore from the new CCC, but the older one worked, except I only got about 30% of my data. I've been in contact with Mike Bombrich and he reviewed my logs and saw that somehow CCC did not see my photos or movies or music and deleted them from the update run that morning. Now I have about 160GB of the original 540GB of data on CCC. I'm not a techie, but because I had problems with the TM, the CCC clones and CrashPlan that the bad HD screwed up the search/sync in some way. I am waiting until the darn online system stops scanning my disks long enough to try to download and restore from CP, but it has been in a constant scan/sync mode for over a week. -

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure". -
I can log on to my email addresses and can see my inbox button but nothing happens when i click on the button on any of my 3 email addresses. Talk talk support has gone through everything with me and says all ok there end they can access my emails and says my mozilla browser is corrupted. What do I do?
Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

TS4002 do not have icon to access the icloud control panel
I do not have an icon to click on to bring the home page of icloud. If I click on it in the start menu, it just brings up the settings. If I click calendar or contacts, then it opens the home screen and asks for my apple id and password.
You must create an iCloud account using a Mac, or an IOS device. Once you have done that your PC can sign in and use it.
