Had the same problem. I uninstalled icloud, restarted my pc and reinstalled icloud and it's working fine. Hope this helps.

The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update. -
When I open the icloud control panel, I cannot select the option to "turn on" photo stream. The option is there but i cannot click on it. How do I fix this problem?

Hi I use a windows PC with XP Professional. I installed iloud on my PC s per the instructions from the Apple website.
In the iCloud control panel all the selections are available but the Photo stream selection is grey. This means i cannot sellect photo stream.
Anyone know how to fix this?iCloud does not support Windows XP.

I am using iCloud Control Panel on a Windows 7 PC and my IPod touch (4th gen. running iOS 6.0.1) has photo stream enabled and is connected to wifi. I have the control panel set to auto-sync my photo streams, and when I open the folder on my PC I can view all shared photo streams--those shared originated by myself and by others. However, the folder for my photo stream (those not shared) is completely empty. Yet the pictures display in my photo stream on my ipod just fine.
I'm trying to sell the ipod (and currently have not other iOS devices). I would like to secure all of my photos before wiping the device.I had the same problem with iCloud 2.0. There is another thread which posted a link to a previous version iCloud (v.1.1). I downloaded it, uninstalled v2.0 and I have my Photos syncing to my PC again. I am sure the iCloud version I installed will not support some of the new features in IOS 6 for Photostream, but I am not using them at the moment. So I will can wait until Apple issues version 2.1 of iCloud to fix these problems.
As a side from note, I was able to "check" the check box after several attemps. However, when going into the Photostream library in explorer, Explorer would subsequently crash on me. Hope it gets fixed soon. -
Trying to instll iCloud on a new Toshiba laptop so I can sync contacts, calendars, email with my iPhone and iPad. Get error message HRRESULT:OX8007OBC9, says installer encountered errors before iCloud Control Panel 2.0 could be configured. Have the same problem trying to istall iTunes.

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

Phototstream is turned on on iPad Air, but 0 photos show up on my iCloud control panel. Any suggestions? I have installed and uninstalled several times and have added icloud and photostream to my allowed list on windows firewall.
Are the photos in your photo stream older than 30 days? If so they won't show up. What worked for me was to log out of icloud on the Windows pc and log back in. Any photos taken within 30 days and less than or equal to 1000 photos should show up.
Photostream has a limit of 30 days or 1000 photos whichever comes first. If you take 2000 pictures today then only the most recent 1000 will show in photo stream. If you only have 20 picture in your photo stream and they are older than 30 days then it won't show in photo stream. -
Are there previous versions of icloud control panel available for Windows Vista x64?
I have had icloud 2.1.3 running on my pc for years (up to tonight). I uninstalled it from my computer in hopes to update the software. Unfortunately, I learned that the latest version of the icloud control panel is only compatible with Windows 7/8. I contacted Apple support to re-download the software and I'm being told that there's no way to obtain a previous version. ***? Does apple honestly leave consumers of their products high and dry like that? Wow!
Does anyone know of a trustworthy source to re-download previous versions of icloud control panel that are compatible with Windows Vista x64?I does work, I also had it on my PC/Vista, but had to reformat and now I cannot find it....sheesh

When I try to set up the control panel on my windows vista computer, I get a message saying there was an unexpected error when I try and sync my mail.
You must create an iCloud account using a Mac, or an IOS device. Once you have done that your PC can sign in and use it.

I have just successfully installed icloud on my PC. However I cannot login to the control panel due to a server erro. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still get the same message. Any ideas?

I should have posted this earlier, but anyway. I restored my laptop to factory version after backing up any useful data, and the first thing I the laptop was restored was connect to the internet, download and install the latest version of iTunes. And Bingo! It worked.
