After deleting and adding Yahoo account, there is no Default Account field for Calendar on iPhone

I read the tips to fix the synch problem with Yahoo Calendar. A step says to make sure the Default Account is set to a Yahoo one. When I deleted and added the Yahoo account according to instructions then went to the Calendar section of Settings on the iPhone there is no Default Account field any longer. I am running iOS 6.1.3 on iPhone 4s. As a result when selecting the Calendar app and tap Calendars there is no Yahoo calendar listed only iCloud and Facebook.

I have found a workaround thats working for me until they get this yahoo calendar thing solved. I logged into my yahoo account on my pc and opened up the calendar. There is a down arrow next to the name of the yahoo calendar you wish to have on you iDevice. Click the down arrow and select share.Go to "sharing and permissions" and your email address and click save. You will then receive an email with two links. Open the email on your iDevice and and hold down on the second link and select copy. This is the link that says add to outlook. Then on your iDevice go to settings-mail-add account-other-add subscribed calendar. Hold down on the server field and tap paste. Then tap next. In the Description box type the name of your calendar and then tap save. Leave all the other fields alone. You can repeat this for all the yahoo calendars you wish to view on your iDevice. Open your iDevice calendar app, tap the calendar tab and your calendar(s) should now appear under Subscribed. This will allow your view your yahoo calendar(s) on your iDevice. Now if you wish to add appointments to your yahoo calendar open safari and go to m.yahoo.com tap the three bars in the upper left corner of the mobile web page and tap sign in. Use your yahoo id and password to sign in. After signing in tap the three bars in the upper left hand corner again and scroll down and tap more. Tap Calendar. At the bottom of the screen tap the box with the arrow in it and select at to home screen. Name it if you like and then tap add. Now every time you want add an appointment to any of your yahoo calendars you can open the link on your home screen. It will remember your log in. If you wish to view all of your calendars, including the yahoo calendars open the native calendar app. This workaround requires the use of two methods one for entry one for viewing, but at least you can access all of your calendars. You can also view your yahoo calendar(s) from the home page link but I dont like the layout on the yahoo mobile page so I just use that for entry. Hope this helps until they figure this one out.

I just got an iPhone5 and I couldn't set up my Yahoo email as "yahoo"--it would not allow me to complete the process despot multiple attempts. I had to set it up as an "other" account. I can receive and read emails on my phone, but when I reply those messages will not send. They go to the outbox and an error message pops up that says" the email account has been rejected by the server" Does anyone have advice on either issue: setting up yahoo properly and/or sending email from phone?

Migration Hangs and Adding Yahoo Account Hangs

I recently had my hard drive replaced and tried to transfer from the backup drive, but the migration hung for hours and didn't seem to progress. I wound up doing a complete restore instead which at least got my iiMac back to its original state. I also tried to delete and read my Yahoo account, but it hung again. I reinstalled the operating system and there wasn't any change. Disk was clean and didn't require any repairs. I had no problem with the Yahoo delete/add on my other computer. Any ideas? Problems related?

Is there a limit to email accounts on iphone 4... I tried to add a 4th email account to iphone 4 AND to my email program on MacBook Pro. It worked for a couple days and not both say user name or pass is incorrect. I CAN check email from gmail.com STRANGE! :/ Annoyed

think all do that same deal when changing network if you're driving
it's not the speakers it's the wire connecting the device with the speakers
it will act as a neutral antenna and receive the harmonics from the gsm signals when they get a sms or change network and that will play in the speakers
maybe you could look into a very very very shielded cable 3.5mm cable which would be protected from those harmonics or maybe you should look into external speakers which use bluetooth a2dp profile

K1: Adding Yahoo Account to Calendar

Greetings:
I am trying to add my Yahoo Calendar to K1's calendar application....I've successfully added my yahoo mail account and gmail accounts as well as gmail calendars.
However, the issue for the yahoo calendar is the server name...i've used imap.calendar.yahoo.com and contacted yahoo which instructed me to use https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com in the server name. However, when I type the https://..., the Next option is grayed out so the information can't be submitted.
Please advise, I really like having one calendar that allows me to see all my events (like my phone does).

I did some experimenting and some Googling of the issue. It appears you have two choices:
Import your Yahoo calendar into one of your Google calendars. Do that at google.com/calendar
Use a CalDAV sync app. There are several in the Android Market.

Yahoo Account Verification fails - imap server settings?

I'm trying to connect my yahoo account and I I get this error:
Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
Any idea how I can fix this? I thought the setup was automatic. I don't see a place to set this stuff. Please help. Thanks!

Some of the steps below may help
1. Delete any Yahoo accounts off iPhone
2. Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings - Agree - iPhone Reboots
3. Now add your Yahoo account back into iPhone
*If it does not work proceed below.
-Repeat steps 1 and 2. And then for the Yahoo account change the password to a new password. All lowercase letters. And numbers if you want. Then confirm new password works by logging onto Webmail.
Now try adding account back into iPhone.
In very rare occasions I have read that restoring iPhone will sometimes allow an email account to be added again.

Disable adding email account iPhone

I have Restrictions enabled on my 14 year old son's iphone 3g (running iOS 4.2) but have been unable to configure the restrictions so he CANNOT add an email account (and subsequently send and receive email). There is a setting that makes it possible turn Allow Changes for Accounts to OFF which DOES seem to prevent someone from changing the settings on an existing email account but it DOES NOT prevent someone from launching the Email App and adding an email account (in the Welcome to Mail screen where all of the various email providers are listed). Anyone know what to do?

Well that may be what was intended (which makes sense) but that is NOT what I am experiencing. I have enabled "Restrictions" and in the section titled "Allow Changes:" I have turned "Accounts" to OFF.
When I launch the Mail app, I get a "Welcome to Mail" screen which has the following options:

Gmail
Yahoo!
Aol.
Other
I can then easily add my Gmail and Yahoo accounts. I can not, however, delete them once they've been added.

What do you mean it "stopped updating"?
Does it display some sort of error in an alert view?
If so, the fix it would depend on the error. You may have to re-enter the account password in settings or you could try removing and re-adding the account.
Is it just that new emails don't pop up on her phone?
You may want to get familiar with the refresh button (iOS 5) / refresh gesture (iOS 6) or you could try restarting the mail app (don't be in mail app, double tap home button, hold down on mail icon, tap red x button on jiggling mail icon, reopen mail).
