HT201364 MacBook Air 13" running 10.7.5 When I click to download Mavericks in the App Store, nothing happens.
No new files showing up in Downloads folder. No nothing. :-(
Internet connection is fine. Signed in with proper credentials, no problem.
No messages in the console.
What could be wrong?
There may be no progress bar apparent for Mavericks in the App Store. It may be a bug associated with this particular download.
To determine if it is actually downloading use Launchpad. You should see a fairly obvious new icon with an associated progress bar. Make sure you check every Launchpad page by swiping left / right.
If it's paused, click the icon to restart it.
Once it completes the icon will appear in Applications and Launchpad, it's just easier to find in Launchpad.
When it's finished downloading it looks like this:
If it really is not downloading read Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
Open the Mac App Store.
From the Store menu, choose Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases to get to your Purchases Page.
Click the Resume button next to the app name.

When I try to download updates for programmes like pages and imovie my moacbook keeps coming up with error 20 and asks me to try again later. Is there a way to solve this problem?
Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Acount... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

I purchased a macbook air from someone on craigslist, and when i try to download iPhoto, it tells me that these apps were already designated to another apple id. any way to reset the app store from thinking it's still alligned with him? Lion was reset already, but this isn't. If i download on my mac mini, will i then be able to retrieve the download on my air?
Hi...
On the MBAir drag the iPhoto app to the Trash, empty the Trash.
Then try purchasing and downloading iPhoto.
You can re download iPhoto on all your authorized Macs. To authorize the MBAir, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Mac. You will be prompted for your Apple ID and password.
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. -
I have a MacBook running OS X v10.6.8 and I'm trying to upgrade to Mouton Lion but I can"t download it from the app store. It says I need a intel core duo which i have. does anyone know whats happening here?
Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn't compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion.
Computer Compatibility - Lion
Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
Application Compatibility
You can also check which applications are PowerPC by going to the menu, select About this Mac, click on More info…, then click System Report and select Software/Applications. -
iPhoto is installed on my MacBook Air, but suddenly won't trigger when I click to open it. What can I do? Thanks.
If you don't need the changes saved then you can force quit the word app. On the menubar, cick the > Force quit > select word.

I downloaded Lion from the App Store on to my iMac and did not save it to a thumb before installing. Do I have to buy it again to install it on my Macbook Pro and iPad, or is there another way to do that?
All my electronics are about a year old. iPad is Model MB293LL (4.2.1) only wi-fi - no phone.
MacBook Pro is OSX 10.6.8 Build 10K549. Also have an AT&T iPhone that I basically use as a Palm, since I changed carriers.
Thank you for your help.
ps: I got an error message and it looks like this did not get posted the first time. 2nd try.Open the Mac App Store on your MacBook Pro
Hold the Option key and click on “Purchases”
Hold the Option key and click on “OS X Lion” from the purchased app list
“Installed’ should now say “Install” which allows you to download OS X Lion.
This assumes you are using the same Apple ID on both computers.
Lion does not get installed on an iPad. It runs iOS. -
Hi I have just upgraded my macbook to Maverick, but the Apps store doesn't connect to the dutch store/ apps, and I can't see my previous purchased apps as on my iPad, any idea ? thanks
Are you expecting to see the apps that you can see on the iPad, on the Mac?
iOS apps which run on your iPad and use the iOS operating system, won't run on your Mac, which usues a different operating system, OS X. -
My MacBook Pro came with Lion pre-installed so I can't re-download it from the app store. Is it possible to get the installESD.dmg file and how can I get it if I can't re-download Lion in Apple Store option?
FYI Mac OS X is not designed to be installed on additional Macs, unless you purchased it from the App Store, in which case you can make as many copies as you wish and install it on as many Macs as you own.
From the Recovery Disk Assistant -
Notes
If the computer shipped with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, the external recovery drive may only be used with the system that created it.
If the system was upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion purchased from the App Store, the external recovery drive can be used with other similarly-upgraded systems. -
My Macbook is missing the garageband app completely. i have 10.7.5 so i can't download garageband from the app store because i need the 10.9.0 software. does anyone know how i can get garageband back?????

10.9 is free, so you could upgrade to that if you wished
if that's not an option for software compatibility reasons, you'd either need to re-install it from the original disks (that came with the computer, or a seperate iLife disc), a backup, or purchase a boxed version from someplace like eBay or Amazon (Amazon has iLife '11 for $39) -
HT201364 mavericks in the app store
why can't I find Mavericks in the App store?
I had it running on this iMac.
My harddrive died and now I have installed a new Seagate drive.
I want to load Mavericks on the new drive, but can't find it anywhere on the apple site or the App store.
Is it simply no longer available?Apple pulled it when Yosemite came out. If desired, click here and ask for it.

I get the message about 3/4 way through the download from the App Store. I have run software update, still no success.
While the hardware will probably need a RAM upgrade, since I highly doubt Lion will work usably on 2GB, I think the main problem you are facing is a connectivity issue. The full Lion installer download weighs in at around 3-4GB so it is gonna take a long time. And if it gets interrupted, well...
Maybe search around for an alternate connectivity arrangement? And be sure to run Software Update first; there was an update to the App Store application a short while back for the Lion version, might also have one for the SL version. -

MacBook Pro late 2008 edition with 2 Gigs of RAM and running Mavericks (10.9.5). It gives me an error message when I try to download Yosemite
All,
I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.
Thanks,

As the title says, I just bought my macbook pro. I'd like to reinstall Lion. However its not showing as "installed" in my app store? So How can I reinstall it?
No. Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
diskutil list
Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered — the text, please, not a screenshot.
