HT201412 For the past 3 days, whenever I try to update an app, the icon darkens and says "waiting" where it normally says downloading. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it does the same thing.
If I try selecting the app, it will only allow me to switch from "waiting" to "paused" back and forth. I have tried deleting and reinstalling but I get the same screen (darkened icon and the "waiting" message. I have tried turning off and turning the phone back on. No luck. What is going on?!
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to resume the download.
And you did try rebooting like this? Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons

The App Store version sometimes gives problems. As you can't install 10.8.4 from the App Store, download and install the Combo edition > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US This edition will work and will update OS X to the most recent version, in that case, 10.8.4

There are a number of threads from other people reporting the same iTunes connection issue, it looks like there might be a problem at Apple's end - but you could try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works, but it probably won't until Apple's fixed it

Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your device and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select Ireland.

Am working in Israel for a few months. When I try to update my apps it tells me my account is not valid for use in the U.S. store, must PURCHASE in the Israeli store. I'm not trying to purchase new apps, just trying to update my apps. Ipad2 was purchased and registered in the U.S.
Thanks for any advice I receive.All that you had to do was to sign into the old account in order to update those apps. What I mean is that you just needed to sign into that account in the store settings like I described and that should have worked. You didnt need to enter the credit card information again - you justed needed to use the old ID and password.
Anyway, I think the good news is that if everything else is OK with the new account, just download iBooks with the new ID - it's a free app so its not like you have to pay for it again. I'm not sure what the other App is that you are talking about - but if it is the Apple Store App - that is free as well.
Try this anyway, when you try to update iBooks, just use the old password if the old ID still pops up.
Did you try signing into the store settings with your new ID and see what happens with the updates then? -
mac app is asking me to update an app, but it does says that its with another account that is not mine, can someone help me please?
same issue here with MacTracker 6.2 that I don't have but shw in the Update part, when clicking it asks me to log with [email protected] account first which is not mine

My iMessage does not appear to be working. Every time I go to reply to an existing message it just appears as normal text. I have tried to create a new message but it still just defaults to normal messages. I have checked my settings but it is all set up as it should be. Is there anything I've missed or could try? Thanks
Try the following:
In Finder, select the problematic volume and then press command-I.
Expand the Sharing & permissions section if it's collapsed.
If the section is locked, then unlock it by pressing the padlock button and then authenticating as directed.
Tick/check Ignore ownership on this volume. -
Running Macbook Pro i7 processor. OSX 10.7.3. Adobe CS5 keeps crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled - no luck. Purchased CS5.5 - same thing. Any clues?

If you are positive there is a good Wi-Fi signal in the area of the iPad I would first reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work, I would turn off your iPad and then restart your Wi-Fi router. Unplug the router for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Once the router had completed its restart process and established a link to the Internet then turn your iPad on. Make sure Settings > Wi-Fi> On. -

Can someone please tell me why when i order an app on my sons ipod, do I get charged twice for it? When I tried do report a problem with the charge, it said that I can not get a refund on that item. It has nothing to do with have more than one device using that account.
After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.

If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:

Make sure that they are really the same app first. -

Why am I getting billed twice for the same thing
I ordered 9 songs off of Itunes on 12/29/12 and my visa was billed $10.50 an email was sent to me confirming this.
today (1/2/13) I was sent another email billing my visa for $7.32 for 6 of the same songs I ordered on 12/29/12.
