HT204266 I keep getting "can not connect to app store"
I keep getting "can not connect to app store" when trying to download an app. I am signed in but can't work out what is wrong... help
Does this happen when connected to different WiFi networks at different locations, or just one?

Try to reset all setting on your phone and see. If issues still persist try to back up your phone using iTunes and restore it using computer. -
its my ipad 3 when i open appstore it says can not connect to app store and the same thing happens with itunes store?
1. Sign out of Apple ID and sign in again

I type in a app and sometimes it pops up saying can not connect to App Store, but it does go later on and when I click ratings or popularity it pops up saying can not connect to App Store. Idk why that happens anyone have same problem? Solutions?

lately, i do not know why my imac can not connect to the app store ... i followed the instructions in "http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5202" except the Edit your Keychain ... there is NO blue + over any certificates icon ... i still can not connect to the app store...
i could have the app store display the front page after doing all instructions according to the web page ... when i click the login button try to log in and it display the empty page with "Can Not Connect To App Store"...

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Finder > Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Cookies
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again. -

The iPhone is still stuck in recovery mode?
If the iPhone is not detected you will need to try other USB ports on the PC or try other USB cables. You could also try another PC/ Mac is you have one available to see if the PC is at fault. -

When troubleshooting iTunes Store connection issues, the following articles provide the best information:
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, go ahead and sign back in.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
- Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
- Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
- Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
- Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
- Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router

I submitted my question but ran out of room in the box. I can still down load new Apps to my iPod touch AND update them but CAN NOT update the older Apps. that was on the iPod before the problem.
I have been to Three Apple Service Center stores - In Tulsa OK, Oklahoma City OK, Tacoma WA and NO ONE could tell me what is the problem OR what to do to correct it. The Tech then tells me to get hold of the main Apple Service Center number. I tell them I already have and they still recommend going to them.
I have erased all information and started over as a new iPod Touch but the problem persists.
I have called the Apple Service number and they tell me to do everything that the the Tech's at the Apple Service center stores tried to do but DID NOT work.
After I spend a lot of time on the phone, I get told to make an appointment at a Apple Service center store so they can physically have hands on assistance. Come on folks I have already done that and they were of no help. When I say that, I get told that may be the only way I can get the problem resolved.
Surely there is someone out there that knows something about what is happening OR not happening with my iPod and provide a solution.
