HT204380 Can you use one AppleID/email for FaceTime, to receive an incoming call on both iPad and iPhone so as to answer which ever one is closer? Or do I need to register another email for my iPad to work with FaceTime?

Go to Settings/icloud. The Apple ID at the top of the screen is the only one you need to be concerned about. That one MUST be a working ID, and you must know the password for it, or you will be unable to use the phone if it ever crashes, you want to update it, or you want to sell it.

I believe there's got to be a way you can use the ipod touch as a airplay receiver to use on the stereo.
The ipod touch has a port for plugging in earphones, that can also be used to plug a stereo into it.
Now somebody just has to make an app for using on ipod touch or iphone to plug directly into the stereos input
jack to play itunes music from your computer wirelessly, other than the ipod being plugged into the stereo with a wire. -

Can you use facetime when language is set to different language other than english in the US?
Is the other person on Wifi? They may think that they can use Facetime via cellular, but they have to be using wifi as well. And yes, you can facetime from the US to Europe.

There are two places where vibrations can be set.
One is the Settings > Sounds
The other area is Settings > Notifications
If you have an app set to Alert, it may have a vibration set for it.

I have uploaded and installed ICLOUD to all three of my devices MAC, i pad nd Iphone.
From Ipad to Iphone i am able to retrieve PAGES documents as i write them. BUT now that i am back home i see that none of the new documents i am working on which are stored on my desktop are showing up in my PAGES file on my Ipad or Phone.
How do i save to icloud from mac, how come i can't retrieve docs from IPAD to MAC either?
should i back up my mac ICLOUD FIRST? and if so, Where do i back it up from?
going mad as i edit on one during the day and the other in the evening , and would like them to sync automatically
please can you help

i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......
and the same magic was supposed to happen in reverse.

if i have to open a browser, go to www.icloud....why on earth did they not just leave us an icon to drop it in in that case?

Like I said for a iphone 4 facetime over cellular network is not possible. It can only be done over wifi on your. I do not know what sort of an internet plan you have or how long the calls you might get will be so I have no way of knowing

Yes, under the Settings for the store, you can turn off the auto download for purchases, that way if you purchase an app on another device it will not automatically download on that device. You would need to do this on both your iPad and iPhone.

Both my iPad and iPhone have stopped receiving e-mail from Comcast using the Mail app.
This is really frustrating. I just spent an hour on the phone with a fairly good Comcast tech, and he couldn't solve the problem. They said it might be because Mail goes through iCloud, and iCloud may be having trouble.
I have tried restarting both the iPad and iPhone, changing ports, deleting and re-setting up the comcast mail account, etc. I am able to view my e-mail on my MacBook Pro using Outlook, and the Comcast website e-mail is also OK.
Any suggestions? It would be good if I could talk to an Apple tech, but apparently that is not an option.Thanks for the additional information. No error messages. No issues w/ POP3 e-mail being locked out....
I had not changed any settings before this problem occured. Both Mail apps on the iPad and iPhone just crashed. I believe in causality (I am a Physicist), so probably it wasn't anything on my iPad or iPhone.
It has become all too common for tech companies to blame anyone but themselves. As a customer with little control or input, I find this infuriating.
Now, both my iPad and iPhone have started working again, after nearly 6 hours w/ out e-mail working.
Maybe it was sunspots!

Why isn't there an iPad and iPhone app to read PDFs that I have stored on iCloud Drive?
Has the PDF document sent to your iPad 4 and iPhone 5s via email and opened in Apple Mail? Apple Mail on iOS has known bugs with attachments (not just PDF documents).
Please take a look at Problem #1: Some PDF attachments opened in Apple Mail on iOS are corrupted or damaged in the following document.

Alternatively, you can take the original PDF document (without damage) on your Windows/Mac computer and uploaded via a cloud storage service (e.g. Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive) and download it to your iOS device. -
ICloud will not sync my contacts or calendar in Mac Office 2011. ICloud does however sync to my PC at work running Microsoft office 2010 and also to my IPad and IPhone. Does anyone know how to fix this?
