Cannot upload song to itunes match, i-clould seems keep pending to upload

- il periodo in cui l'iTunes Match ha funzionato correttamente sull'iPad è durato solo qualche settimana;
- in seguito, anche se tutti i brani della Cloud venivano visualizzati sull'iPad, dava problemi nel senso che i brani non venivano riprodotti e, inoltre, la durata veniva indicata in "zero" per tutti i brani, sicchè, cliccandoci, non venivano riprodotti;
- ho provato a disattivare e riattivare l'iTunes Match e, a questo punto il dispositivo ha dato il messaggio "tutta la tua libreria musicale verrà sostituita con quella su iTunes Match", mentre, nell'applicazione "MUSICA" erano spariti tutti i brani: veniva visualizzata, al centro della pagina, la nuovoletta del Cloud, con una barra di download sotto. Questo è durato per circa quattro giorni, senza che succedesse nulla, nel senso che la barra del download non mostrava segni di caricamento;
- allora ho provato a ripristanare le impostazioni e, a questo punto, erano visualizzati di nuovo i brani, ma comunque senza possibilità di riprodurli (la durata di nuovo indicata come "zero");
- nel momento in cui ho provato a cliccare su uno dei brani, è riapparsa la nuvoletta del Cloud con la barra di download sotto;
- quando i brani ricompaiono, hanno sempre durata zero e non vengono riprodotti;
- ho attivato anche la condivisione in famiglia ma il problema non cambia.
Vi preciso che il mio iPad è della prima generazione ed è aggiornato all'IOS 6.

  • Cannot upload songs to iTunes Match

    Hi all,
    I have the account for something more than a year. After a year of uploading tracks and updating my Library i managed to keep only the songs i am interested in and removed all the duplicates. That was a good time to clear my itunes match and re-upload-match everthing that i have now in my Library of the local computer. I managed to clear the itunes match librady in the cloud and now it says in all my devices that i have no content. Though, when i "Update itunes match" it scans my libray and says "Your itunes library is now available in iCloud. No songs are available in icloud" even though i have in my local library aprox 7000 songs. Does anyone has this problem? Any solution to upload/match again?

    Hi again,
    I had already the view you advised open. Well here are the different statuses i have:
    1)Duplicate (almost 50%)
    2)Ineligible (only 20 songs)
    3)Removed from icloud (the other 50%)
    I have no song with no status at all. Though, the ones that are marked as duplicates are not duplicates in my library. It is like it still finds them in icloud even though icloud is empty with songs
    Attached are screens that might help.

  • HT4914 What will happen to my uploaded songs after iTunes match subscription expired.

    My iTunes match subscrption just expired a week ago, and I press "No Thanks" button on my computer. Of course all my uploaded songs disappear on my computer, if I change my mind now and resubscrpt. Will I still get back my songs? My iPad is still showing those songs though...

    Hi,
    At present, if you delete a track from your library, instead of asking if you wish to delete from the cloud you are asked if you wish to hide song.
    This indicates that the songs will remain on the Apple server. For how long, I do not know but certainly, songs deleted in the past have immediately been recognised as previously uploaded.
    This obviously speeds up process if you have to rematch your library or decide to re subscribe at a later date.

  • HT4914 how to upload songs from itunes match onto a new computer

    Hey Folks , just wanted to get clarity on something , when i have iTunes Match & my library in the cloud ... would i be able to upload the library to a new computer? i want to start itunes match on my laptop , which holds the library , but want to uplaod the library to the computer , would i be able to with itunes match ?

    Hello dolladp
    If you enable iTunes Match on the old computer, it will match and upload all the files. When that process is complete then all you have to do is enable iTunes Match on the new computer and download if you choose to the new computer.

  • Cannot play songs in iTunes Match

    Some of the songs in my iTunes Match Library show up on my computer (MacBook Pro running latest OS) as greyed out and they do not play - although they are already in my library and they play on my other devices (so I know they're good).  I can see info (but not lyrics or artwork).  I did notice that these seem to have no sampling rate (compared to the songs that function normally).

    Hi mdtempleton,

  • Some uploaded songs to itunes match stop in the middle of the song now

    I loaded all our CD's onto Mac .....spent weeks last summer doing it and then purchased Itunes Match....several songs now just cut off in the middle of the song.  The songs show up on my Itunes, show the title, full amount of play time, but even on my computer, play only the first minute or two of the song and then cuts out.  Really annoying as I have about 5000 songs and hate to spend more time compiling a list of each corrupted song and reloading without knowing if this is going to just keep happening.  Any ideas what I might have done wrong or need to change?  Thanks......

    Hey Jesus,
    I found the following resource that may provide more information:
    Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
    If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    - Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    - Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    - Download your previously purchased song from this list.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • "Uploaded" songs with iTunes match won't play

    In an effort to conserve disk space on my Mac, I decided to delete most of the songs in my iTunes library. When I went to play a song that was uploaded (instead of matched or purchased) it would stall then skip it. I am running the latest build of Lion (10.7.3) with the latest version of iTunes. I have found that the songs will play on my iOS devices but I can't figure out why they won't stream on my Mac.

  • Uploading to online data storage: Now cannot download songs into iTunes

    Hello all.
    I am not seeing this one on any FAQs, knowledge bases, or discussion boards yet:
    I am doing my initial upload of files to SugarSync, a highly-recommended online data storage service. Since I started, I cannot download songs into iTunes, even from the iTunes Store.
    On any new downloads from the iTunes Store, the song DOES appear in the Music library view but immediately after completing the download it shows the exclamation point warning that the file is not in its location. The new folders get created properly within the iTunes Music folder but the subfolder where the song should be is empty. Each time I had to write iTunes Support to get them to make the files available.
    I can still add files manually, no problem. E.g., I can add *.mp3 or *.wav files or folders, I can convert them to AAC, etc. The glitch seems to occur only when automated loads into iTunes are operating.
    As a test, I downloaded a song from Amazon. Here the problem was different but I could work around it manually. Normally the Amazon process loads songs automatically into iTunes, too. Here again, the download did create the proper folder in the iTunes Music folder, as it should, but this time the symptoms were reversed:
    (a) the mp3 file WAS in its folder as it should be (w/the iTunes DL, the file was NOT there)
    (b) the song did NOT appear in the iTunes Music view (w/the iTunes DL, the song DID appear)
    (c) I was able to browse to the file and tell it manually to load into iTunes (w/iTunes I had to write Support and wait a day).
    (I wonder what's the cause of the differences between the two cases.)
    Strictly speaking, I can't PROVE the problem has anything to do with SugarSync (which otherwise seems good so far), but the DL problem started as soon as I started using it. Something in the SugarSync upload or file-monitoring process, or an odd thin gin iTunes, seems to be preventing automated, direct loads into iTunes. And since the data service runs in background, so it can monitor file changes, that might mean I can't buy music anymore! Obviously that would be a dealbreaker with SS. (I have contacted SS on this but they've not had fair chance to reply yet.)
    1) Anyone else have this problem?
    2) Is this permanent or just temporary while I am doing the initial upload?
    3) Anyone know a solution?
    (FYI, I am a highly-experienced user and otherwise quite handy with iTunes files, library moves, and backups. My library is entirely consolidated and all AAC.)
    Thanks.
    (Oh, and this occurred in both iTunes 8 and the new iTunes 9, so it seems unrelated to the upgrade this week.)

    UPDATE 1. CHANGING BROWSER HELPED -- OR DID IT?
    I called Apple iTunes Support, who said the problem is new to them. The technician's hypothesis was that something, perhaps browser-related, was interfering with the initial creation of a temporary file (which should go to the Recycle Bin) that instead causes the completed file to go to there.
    He noted that iTunes, though not going through one's browser onscreen, does use settings within one's default browser. I use Mozilla Firefox, so we switched to IE as the default browser, restarted iTunes, and the song downloaded with no problem! Then I switched back to Mozilla, restarted iTunes, and it worked AGAIN with no problem!
    (Dutifully I advised SugarSync, which is still investigating.)
    UPDATE 2: ARTIST NAME CHANGE - SOME FILES GOT MIS-MOVED / MIS-CHANGED
    Definitely something still wrong. This time some pre-existing song entries (not new downloads) lost their connection to their source file.
    In iTunes, which manages folder names for artists and albums automatically, I corrected the spelling for an Artist, so immediately iTunes renamed the folder, and automatically SugarSync noted the change to be uploaded. While the changed folder name and all the songs within were still uploading to SS, in iTunes I saw exclamation points come up -- but only for some of them. Most files got moved or changed correctly, but several lost connection to their file (i.e., the file was removed for the original misnamed folder but never moved into the correctly-named folder). Weird.
    Worse, in only some of those cases did I find the missing *.m4a file in the Recycle bin. (I had to retrieve old, original *.mp3 versions from another folder and re-import each into iTunes manually.) I've never seen iTunes have a problem managing an Artist rename until I started using the live SS process.
    (I've reported this to SS and asked if there is a way to disable temporarily SS to see if that's the problem.)
    [Note: I am willing to try downloads again but I am wary of trying to rename entire Artists (Folder) again. That was a lot of work.]

    UPDATE 3: SERIES OF TESTS - 1 FAILURE USING iTUNES
    Still problem occurs, but not always. Today, I rebooted PC. I tried CD, iTunes, & Amazon. I varied having the browser open when using iTunes.
    Here are the results of a series of attempts to download songs. "FAIL" means the file did not load properly into iTunes or loaded but lost its connection (exclamation point warning).
    # Source Mozilla #Songs Result
    1 CD Closed 1 OK
    2 iTunes Closed 1 OK
    3 Amazon Open 2 OK
    4 iTunes Open 1 FAIL
    5 Amazon Open 1 OK
    6 iTunes Closed 1 OK
    7 Amazon Open 2 OK
    8 iTunes Open 2 OK
    (I reported this to SS. Hoping they'll test and find the problem.)

  • HT204406 i want to download all the songs from itunes match back to my pc.  there are well over 2000 songs. instead of downloading one by one, is there a way to download all of them while I sleap?

    I want to download all the songs from iTunes Match back to my PC (iTunes).  Instead of downloading one by one, can I have all the songs downloaded back to my iTunes by one shot (while I sleap)?

    I just found the answer by myself.  Instead of clicking Cloud icon one by one, highlight all the songs in Cloud (after sorting by Cloud status) and riight click, download.  Now I am getting all the songs back to my local machine.  I will sync my iOS devices tomorrow and just GET RID OF iTUNES MATCH.  To me, it was a disaster.  Worse than their map app.

  • HT204406 How to restore deleted songs from iTunes Match?

    I thought I was deleting a couple of things from iTunes Match, but somehow deleted a bunch of others. I know, I know, silly me. Anyway, I still have most of the items I deleted on another Mac, but they're shown with a cloud symbol with an X in it. I'd like to get those things stupidly deleted back on iTunes Match, instead of only on one Mac...that is, also on my iPhone and iPad. I appreciate any advice.

    Up till your message, I was under impression that once you uploaded music to itunes match, the only way to reset it, is to contact apple to cancel service. You can probably download those back if they disappeared from one device, or even all of them.

  • HT204406 Anyone else having difficulty accessing song on iTunes Match 11/19/12

    Songs from iTunes Match are not downloading.

  • Error messages on songs in itunes/match relating to files not found.

    I subscribe to itunes match. When highlighting certain songs in itunes where a cloud symbol has appeared next to them, I get the following message "the song................could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" If I press the locate button it takes me to windows file search screen, but if I cancel it finds the song and an arrow appears at the base of the cloud symbol. If I click this the whole cloud symbol eventually disappears and problem seems resolved. ie it plays when highlighted and can be dragged and dropped onto my ipod. On other songs the cloud symbol appears next to them but with an exclamation mark in it and "Error" in the icloud status column (Whereas "matched" appears next to the others). I get the same message as before and if I cancel the song is found. The difference is that when I click on the cloud symbol, I get the message "The item was not added to the iCloud as an error occurred", the exclamation mark reappears, "error" remains in the icloud status column and I have to go through the whole process again if I high light the song again. I cannot drag it onto my ipod.
    I manually manage my music and am preparing to revert to syncing. I have many playlists in itunes and looking through them there is a scattering of these cloud symbols throughout against random songs. The clear symbols I can alter as above (though it will take ages) but the ones with the - ! - mark in the cloud symbol next to them will not (I think) sync and go over to my ipod. I have in excess of 10,000 songs - 99.9% from my cd collection. Itunes match appears to have created havoc with them and it is frustrating not to be able to access songs that are originally mine.
    I hope this is clear and can anyone help please?

    First, you need to let the inital scan, match and upload process in iTunes complete before you enable the service on your iOS devices. This is the best practice. Once the initial scan is complete then all the music will be availabe on the iOS devices.
    Second, in Song view in iTunes enable the iCloud Status column so you can see how the service has classified all the music in your library. If successfully processed all the tracks shoud be either "purchased," "matched," or "uploaded." Any other status indicates a problem with that track that will need to be sorted out, and it won't be availble on the iOS devices.
    Third, be patient with the artwork. It can take some time for all the artwork to download to the iOS devices. It isn't instant. But eventually all the artwork will show up.

  • How do I delete/hide songs from iTunes Match? (More info inside)

    How do I delete/hide songs from iTunes Match? When I mark them, and delete them (and yes, I mark the box where it says delete from the cloud as well), they just reappear once I sync with itunes match again. (the symbol available for download appears). Is there a way to completely remove the tracks?
    (And no, I don't just want to hide them (in the menu), since the tracks will appear in my iPhone anyways).

    Hey imol92,
    You may have already looked at this; http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4915
    It is all the public information on removing songs that you have uploaded to the iTunes Cloud.

  • Downloading a missing song with iTunes Match

    On my second computer I had downloaded a song and it was deleted. iTunes now displays the missing file question mark. There is no option to download or play the song from iTunes Match. My assumption, is that if I delete the track it will delete from Match also. Is that correct? and also is there a way to download the song without rebuilding my iTunes library file ?

    If you delete it, it will ask you if you want to delete from Match, select no. After that you will be able to redownload from the cloud hitting the cloud icon (if it was matched/uploaded to cloud in the first place).

  • HT4914 can you download songs from itunes match from the cloud to your iPhone ie for times when you dont have internet connection

    can you download songs from itunes match from the cloud to your iPhone ie for times when you dont have internet connection?

    Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.
