HT2045 Downloaded an album years ago but each song is cut off. Found old receipt but no option to report a problem with the download. Help?

Help. I purchased Michael Martin Murphy's Cowboy Songs Four
Order Number: M4*****844
Receipt Date: 05/27/07
thought something was wrong with my Ipod, but now have a Mac and Iphone and found each song on the album ends about 30 seconds short. Iphone and Ipad play the songs and then slience until the next song starts.
Found the Itunes receipt but it is so old, there are no avenues to re-download the album.
Have updated all my Itunes and other software.
Anyone ever have this happen? How can I fix it without repurchasing the whole CD again?

You need to delete the current copy of the broken track from your library before it will be offered up for download. It may help to close and reopen iTunes.
If the problem persists and you can't get a good version of the file contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Since Firefox 32.0 was downloaded on 3/9/14 I am experiencing brief hanging when clicking onto websites or links. Is this a problem with the new version of Fire

If I click onto any link or webpage I am quite often getting a briefing 'hanging' before Mozilla responds. I also get a message at the top of my screen stating that Firefox is not responding and the loading symbol justs spins in circles until it eventually frees up and opens the page. Prior to Firefox 32.0 being downloaded on 3/9/14 I had no problems with this 'hanging' at all. I can only assume it is a Firefox issue as I do not have the same issues if I use Internet Explorer or any other programs installed on my computer.

You can check for problems with the history that is stored in the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

I do not want to save every file I download. just want to open a file and move on. I do not see an option to just open or run the download without saving.

sorry but there is no option like this.
but if you like you can delete them manually
for these :
1.open downloads from menu button on right or by simply pressing (Ctrl +J )
2.Then select the downloaded file you want to delete by a single click on it.
3. You will find a folder type icon on right side of that , in which you should click.
4. Then it will open folder where the selected file saved.
5. Then you can delete that file .

First it's not the .acsm files that you want to convert. The .acsm files are just temporary purchase tokens to start the download and licensing of the real pdf or epub file. It's that file (either pdf or epub) that has all the content, however it is protected with ACS4 DRM and as such can only be viewed by ADE or by supported device such as the Sony Reader 505 or 700. While there are quite of few of our device customer that are coming out with new devices and software, none of the have announced plans for supporting PalmOS.

This happened to me, too. If I remember correctly, I had to set wither iTunes or my computer to download files one at a time instead of all at once. I don't remember how I set it to do this, though. I also remember that I had to delete the files and downloads and restart them all after I did this. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Depending on exactly what instructions you followed (there are many possibilities), there may be hope...
If you did an on-device Wireless Update, then there is no hope for recovery direct on the device itself. The OTA updates perform an on-device backup from which they restore at the end...but, if anything goes wrong, that backup file is lost forever. (This is the reason I never recommend OTA updates...just to dangerous IMO.)
If you used a computer to perform the update, then you should either have taken a manual backup beforehand or it should have offered to take a backup during the process. In either case, there should be a backup file which you can use as the source to restore from. Search your hard drive for files with IPD or BBB extension (it will depend on the version of the Desktop Software you have). Then use the most recent one as the source of restore -- hopefully, the date/time of the file is around the same time you were doing the update:

If you were using the free BB Protect app, then you can use it to restore your data:
KB25061 What is BlackBerry Protect?
If you did not take a manual backup, overrode the automatic backup, or did not already (before this update) start using BB Protect, then you have no data source from which to restore.

Create a ADDON Component -Type Using WebConsole.
Just rename the downloaded zip files to ur Component-Types name.Upload the zip file u have downloaded .
Upload this zip file corresponding to this Component Type.
Assign this as the firt Application to the particualr Device (by manually or by role synchronization).This data base files must be the first application for all devices.
This zip files contains,
some jar files -
these are acting as database connector for DB2E.
DLL files -
these are linking libraries required for proper working
install.xml file -
this contains the installation instructions.(Actually after getting downloaded to the client device , the jar files and the DLL files are copied to proper folders , using the instructions we have written in the install.xml file.).
In this install.xml file , we can see the instructions to change the contents of the MobileEngine.config file in a manner to support the DB2E as local database. This is the first process to carry out during installation process. Then copyn the associated jar files to the lib directory in the mobile installation. Then copy the DLL files to the System directory . then add the referece of the jar files copied to the lib folder in the listOfJar.txt file. This file contains the details of jar files which are to be loaded while starting the MobileEngine.
You can download a sample version of DB2E from SDN itself. Just download that . from that u will get a picture of what are the files needed for DB2E.
In that , u can see a install.xml file (installation instruction file) u just have to modify that according to ur requirements

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Problem with the downloads folder

Using Firefox 6, every time I try to download a pdf file, I get the error message
/Users/grahamgough/Downloads/x.pdf could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred.
Tried resetting the folder in FF and in Safari as suggested but still doesn't work

I followed your advice and did this:
I run the following terminal command
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
that didn't help...
I deleted the file home directory/library/preferences/com.apple.launchservices.plist
again I run the following terminal command
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
et voila ... all back to normal !
