i download load a file off the internet i can see it in my downloads, the icon of the downloading file is a blank piece of paper and and when i go to up it this is some of the text that comes up. :/

     I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
     I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
     It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
     Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
     I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
   For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.

Delete the track from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track file to the Trash. Then download the track again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

I recently downloaded a web page but then i deleted history which deleted the web page. there is still a short cut to it but says file does not exist. can i retrieve this as web page no longer exixts

as the question states i downloaded a web page but before i put it on a memory stick i changed the options on my firefox and the file is no longer there.
there is a shortcut in the 'recently changed' folder in windows explorer but when i click on it it says the file has moved or no longer exists.

OK. Then you do need a word processing app. The WP apps in the App Store run the full gamut and you need to decide which on would work best for your needs.
If you want to simply try a WP app to get the feel of how they work, there is an app called FioWriter Lite which is free. It will have limited functionality, but at least it will give you an idea of what these apps are like to work with.
If that works for you, there is a paid version as well. FioWriter is probably one of the most basic and least expensive WP apps that I have seen. I have Pages and Smart Office and my preferred app is Pages because I have that on my Mac as well.

Problem with either fastestfox or tweaktube with youtube when it starts to download the second page and the second half of the preview panes and so on..(it will download the first 5 or so and the rest ill be blank)

Mac 10.5.8, fire fox, 3.6.12, uninstalled all extensions, reinstalled all extensions, deleted cookies etc, I have continuously also received the message about java script not being installed properly even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled etc.. If I click on the next page instead or using fastestfox to open, it will open no problem!! But fastestfox was great for being fast! any ideas???

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine

Why are emails downloaded with the subject and from address different from what is actually in the email?

The subject and from address listed in the message pane are totally different from what is in the actual email, viewed either in the preview pane or when the email is opened. The emails are correct when viewed online. For example:
Email subject A from Sender A - email A
Email subject B from Sender B - email B
Email subject C from Sender C - email C
After downloading to Thunderbird:
Email subject A from Sender A - email A
Email subject B from Sender B - email B
Email subject C from Sender C - email A *** Subject and Sender for C but is actually email A

I decided to buy Pages and Numbers through the App Store icon. When I open the Pages and Numbers under my Applications, I can get them to work. However, when I open old documents saved on my computer, they go into the 'old' iWork messages of that my trial has expired. How do I get the computer to automatically recognize that I've purchased Pages and Numbers?

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.
