HT2954 Email Contact Autofill Problem

I just upgraded to v10.5   Now when composing EMails, my contact list will not autofill.

You should probably check to see if it will even run PHP. Have you created a page with a php extension and if so does it display correctly?
Sometimes the script needs to be in a folder with permissons that allows scripts to run, which you might be able to do with a CPANEL control somewhere or a folder called scripts.
You shouldn't be required to use their script and should be able to write your own (I purchased software to do this, as I don't writ PHP mail processing scripts).
Jim
PS. Another thing that I have come across is that the sending email (from in your script) must actually be an email address. So if you are wanting to send a confirmation email, that address that is sending it to the form filler outer it can't be a junk address. If you can set up an email account for this form, I would suggest [email protected] (with your domain information of course).

  • Email Contact Form Problem

I have set up a contact form on my website to be e-mailed to an e-mail address I have set up for the site on clicking the "submit" button. I have apparently succeeded in associating the PHP script to the form, as I get the PHP error message every time I click the submit button to show the e-mail has not been sent. Having worked my way down to the simplest of PHP scripts and triple checking all my variable details are matching the names in the HTML, I tried checking with my host Netcetera if there was something I needed to do at their end.
They replied "The form mail should be authenticated with a valid email address and its password. Please use SMTP host as mail.netcetera.co.uk"
I cannot find anyway of doing this directly in Dreamweaver nor any guidance on Adobe on how to do this.
    Any ideas?

Rented 2 movies, watched one, second one kept downloading for 3 days and finally failed. I was charged for it, it never downloaded, cannot be found in "Available Downloads".
When you go to "Report a problem" next to the item (Great Gatsby) on the email invoice or on the online account  - it takes you to online support - if you elect problems with iTune downloads the page NEVER opens...  no email contact. Please help

This is bad - I have an Apple automated response that they got my report on 12/6, 12/10 and 12/14, and I haven't heard anything from them since the 6th when I got one reply that told me to do things I tried before reporting the problem. Between the 6th and 10th I replied to their response 4 times and they ignored me, forcing me to report a problem with two more items that wont download but getting no response.
How do they get away with this kind of behavior, especially for someone with FIVE Core 2 Duo macs and thousands of dollars of of iTunes store purchases? I'm getting really ******.

How can I restore to my last back?  If I restore, it will ask to restore to the back that was just made… which has no contacts?

  • I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions and I don't believe I ever answered any security questions when I created my Apple ID for Itunes.  Someone kindly sent me Apple support link but to no avail!  Please Help me!

I have no "Rescue email" contact in order to reset my security questions!!  I've been trying now for 4 days to contact Apple/Itunes but I only get sent answers from a support team that say they cannot help me with my problem!!
The thing is that I can't ever remember answering any security questions and without a rescue email, I'm unable to reset them or even set them for the first time!!
I can't believe that no-one from Apple/Itunes can help me with this simple problem but unfortunately that is the case - Incredible, isn't it!!!
Would anyone know how I could solve this problem online???   Because each time I sign into Itunes, the same security questions reappear and reappear and reappear.  In fact I've got to the point where I feel like uninstalling Itunes and downloading an alternative.
    Many thanks

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • I need help with an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2

I’m having an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2     Model:  MC774C/A;  IOS VERSION: 6.1.3 (10B329).
While I use 4 email accounts on the iPad -- Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud and ns.sympatico.ca ( a division of BellAliant) – the sending difficulty only relates to the ns.sympatico.ca.  The settings for this account are:         pop.bellaliant.net            and      smtp.bellaliant.net
I first noticed the problem about 3 weeks ago while travelling across the country (Canada).  (I do recall about that time there was an update of my IOS and I also for my wife purchased from the Bell store an iPhone which shares my Apple account.)  Prior to that everything worked well for a couple of years.
I noticed earlier this month that the iPad received mail fine but would not send at night using the motels’ WiFi.  During the day, using my 3G account, all worked fine.  I phoned Bell but was told that my experience was normal so I thought no more about it until I returned home and found the same problem at the house.  I called Bell again and worked for 2 hours with 3 Bell technicians who succeeded in getting the iPad to neither send nor receive and gave up advising me to take the iPad into a Bell store to have it looked at.  I did that and the young technician got the iPad sending and receiving by changing the        smtp.bellaliant.net      to         mail.1xbell.ca
However, when I returned home again, I realized that it was working on my 3G and still doesn’t send on my WiFi
I’m looking for any suggestions that might solve this annoying problem?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • How do I keep my email contacts from being deleted when I delete a phone contact?

Please HELP!! I am a new iphone user and I am not understanding all this "icloud" stuff. I have "Contacts" turned off in my phone's icloud settings and on my computer's icloud settings. Every time I add or delete a contact in my phone, the same changes are made in my email contacts. There are certain contacts I need in my email that I don't need in my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if I have "Find My Iphone" turned on, do I still need an app for it to work and is it true that if a person's phone is lost or stolen it can't be tracked if someone turns off  "Find My Iphone" (if a restrictions passcode has not been set up) in the icloud settings?

When signed-in on this page, look in the upper right corner for "Inbox", click on it and read the private message that I sent you about making that change.

  • My daughters have Iphones and both are registered to my email. The problem with that is that one get the others messages. I have to make one account for each their phones. How do I do that?

My daughters got Iphones a couple of years. I do not have an Apple-phone. I registered both phones on my email. The problem is that one of them get the others messages. I therefore need to make two different accounts for their apple-products. How do I do that?

On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.

  • Adobe won't return my emails regarding installation problems

I have CS3 for Mac, an upgrade version. I recently had many problems with a 4 month old iMac. Apple took it back and gave me a new one.
I cannot install the CS3 and get it to work because it is looking for an older version of Photoshop to upgrade. I no longer have the old disc.
I have sent emails ("Contact Us, Ha Ha"), three or four time over the last ten days.
    No response.
Quark responded. Got that working again.
    But nothing from Adobe.
Now what am I supposed to do?

I had this problem with Quark Xpress and CS3.
    Both were upgrades.
When my new Imac arrived, I had the upgrade discs, but not the original discs from years ago.
Quark and CS3 upgrades looked for the old software to upgrade, couldn't find it and wouldn't activate.
I got through to Quark, and they sent me a link that let me activate their software. It's up and running fine.
I imagine the same procedure would apply with Adobe. I have the disc and the serial number. But Adobe has refused to answer any of my emails.
Is there a way of getting through to them that you know of?
    Thanks.

  • How to have an email contact with an Apple specialist ?

I'm not here for having helps about a problem with my iPad, I just would like to know if it's possible to have an email contact with a specialist because I have a presentation on Apple for my BAC and I would like to have informations on the firm...
    Please help me !
    Yours faithfully,
    Arthur

I'm not being rude, just don't want you to have unreasonable expectations.
Apple Specialists will not provide help with homework. There's plenty of info about Apple on the internet and in books and articles. If you have a specific technical question, searching this forum might yield an answer.

  • My ipad 2 cant show settings email, contacts and calenders

Just bought a new iPad2. Trying to set it up. I've setup a Gmail, and thats working fine. Now I would like to setup a pop mail. When I try to access the >settings>email, contacts and calender menu, the iPad just exits the >settings menu and shows the "desktop". I cant seem to setup an additional mail from the mail program, so I need to access the settings menu.
I've tried to reboot the iPad, but to no avail.
I dont know if this matters, but I also seem to have problems with syncronizing pictures to my iPad through iTunes. The folders are present on the iPad, but there are no pictures in the folders. It seems odd, particularly since the status of the iPad in iTunes is that there seems to be 2,3gb of pictures on it.
I'm quite the green apple, so any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    Jannik

Assuming you have iOS 4.3 as your tagline suggests, its because the Software Update button was only added in iOS 5.  and was not available in previous versions. Like the 4.3 you currently run.
You'll need to connect your iPad to a Computer running iTuines (Can be a Mac or a Pc doesn't matter) and follow the update prompts.
You'll probably want to back up the iPad before updating though.

  • Sync email, contacts & calendar on Live, iphone, PC

I want to sync email, contacts, and calendar on my iPhone and PC just like
it did with my blackberry, but I want to use a live mail account (or gmail or
other provider if Live won't work). The iPhone web pages don't list Live email account information any more like they used to. So I'm not sure what is going on with Live email and the iPhone.
I have an iPhone 2G (just today updated to OS 3.1) with the data plan. I have a Live mail account that I'll be using if possible. I currently have the updated contact list and calendar file that I want to use in Outlook 2003 on my XP desktop computer. I want to PUSH these items onto the iPhone because they have been painfully updated (from multiple accounts from multiple pc and phone upgrades). I want to continue using Outlook on the PC if possible, but want to migrate to using my notebook (that I plan to upgrade from Vista to Win7). I want the messages to dowload to the hard drive on the notebook for archival.
I know I should upgrade the Vista machine to Win7 before I start trying to
sync these 3 devices/areas (2 devices and 1 cloud??? ;-)). Once that is accomplished, I want to sync the notebook (outlook email and calendar and contacts) with the iphone (email, contacts, calendar) and Live (email, contacts, calendar). Will opened email show as "read" on the other devices at next logon? Will calendar updates work properly from any location and propagate to the other devices? Same for Contacts: can I change one anywhere and have it properly update at the other two locations? What about deleting email messages (or contacts, or calendar items), can it be done from any of the 3 and propagate to the the other 2?
    Can it be done? How?

Google does not support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an IMAP account.
Google does support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an Exchange account, but Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google.
I have no idea about service interruptions with a Gmail account, but since Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google and still considered a Beta I believe, there are bound to be issues from time to time while Google gets the bugs worked out.
The iPhone supports Push access for recieved messages with email account providers that provide/support Push access. The iPhone also supports Fetch access with an option for automatically checking for new messages every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes, or every hour. With an account that supports Push access, you can enable or disable Push access, automatically check the account for new messages, or manually check for new messages.
Nothing personal, but what is the big deal about Push access for recieved messages? What sort of important email do you regularly recieve that must be pushed to the iPhone the instant the message is recieved at the incoming mail server - along with every other message the instant they are recieved at the incoming mail server? To each his/her own, but that would drive me nuts. Nothing I recieve via email is so important that it can't wait for the account to be automatically checked for new messages every 30 minutes (my setting), and I can always manually check the account for new messages in between the automatic check.
Just trying to help you save what amounts to $8.33/mo with a MobileMe account. I haven't read about on-going regular problems with accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account. This provides for keeping all server stored mailboxes synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account, and you can sync contacts and calendar events direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process at no additional expense. You won't have Push access for recieved messages when accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account, but I think you will get by A-OK having the account automatically checked for new messages along with being able to do a manual check in between the automatic check if you are expecting an email of significant importance.
And in the interim, Google may get the bugs ironed out with accessing the account as an Exchange account which you can switch to when they do - still at no charge.

  • Email contact delete help

How do I delete email contacts that automatically pop-up when I enter the first letter of the name?
Every person that I have emailed from my phone is saved, but I would like to delete several email addresses.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

  • ICloud "email" contacts to iCloud contacts

When I open Contacts, on my iPhone, I see all of my contacts (phone numbers) I have created. If I click "Groups" and choose to show only iCloud, I do not have any of my numbers. However, when I have Homtail checked, I see all my contacts I have ever created on my phone. I need to get the Homtail contacts to be on my iCloud.
So far I have opened Settings then have gone to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", tapped that, then navigated to the Contacts section of that menu. Under the option "Default Account" the option "Hotmail" is checked. I have changed this to have the option "iCloud" to be checked.
Now, when I go back to Contacts, tap "Groups" then select only iCloud, I still see none of my contacts.
I need my contacts to be on iCloud because when I open Messages on my iMac, I only see phone numbers from the conversations I have had with people, not their first and last name. I need this to be fixed. Is there a way I can transfer all of my "Hotmail" contacts onto iCloud?
Additional Info: These "Hotmail" contacts are not email contacts. They are Phone numbers that I created from the Contacts application, gave each individual a phone number along with a first and last name. Not an email.
    Thanks

    Hello there.
First, changing your 'Default Account' just changes where new contact that you enter will be saved to.  It does not help with existing contacts.
You have one of two optiosn to resolve your problem.
    1) Export your contacts form hotmail and import them to iCloud.
    2) Add you hotmail account to your iMac like you have on your iPhone.
    Instructions:
    1) Go to hotmail.com or outlook.com and log into your hotmail account.  Find the contacts or address book section.  Select the option to export contacts.  Export them to vcard.  Go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Go to contact and select the gear icon and select import. iMport the files you saved form the export earlier. (Alternately, you can drag and drop the file into the web browser window).
    2) On your iMac, go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts.  Click the + sign and add your hotmail account.  When the check boxes show up, you can choose to turn on whatever you like, but you will at least need contacts to be turned on. (Alternately, you can use the Contacts App on the iMac to move a copy of your contacts from hotmail to icloud as well as it with have both groups with import/export options, but this will take a little more fiddling.)
    I hope this helps.
