You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

I attempted to update my iPhone 4 without realizing that I need to sync it with my laptop. My iPhone 4 is now stuck in the connect to iTunes mode and now I cannot use it. Is there a way to reverse this so I can use my phone because I do not have my computer with me?
Maybe it was hacked before and now through the update it's locked back to the original carrier.

Could apple send me an iPad air. All my friends are making fun of me because I'm stuck with the old device and no phone. I've had app problems with apple before so I think that it would only be fair to get a newer device. Thank You Apple
First we aren't Apple just normal users just like you.
Second provide Apple a feedback or send them a mail.
Third they will never send you a free iPad Air.
If you want one you have to buy it. (go for refurbished if the device is too expensive) or look for special prices.
Contact iTunes support if you have a problem with an App. -

I have some updates due on some Apps I have downloaded but when I try to update I get a message saying that my account is not in the UK store so must switch to Ireland before purchasing. Does anybody know how you change stores? I did not do this deliberately!

Have you looked on all the pages of your iPod? Have you looked in all your folders? Have you you tried finding the apps using the iPod's search page.

PeteThere are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them. -
I have three iPhone 4 models purchased in late 2010 (for my family) that all share the same iTunes account for access to apps and music, but each phone/user still has his/her custom contact list, email accts, and select lists of apps and music from the one iTunes acct library. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. Hopefully, someone out there can help me?? Please?

I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."
I wiped it out and restored from backup but I am still getting the same message.I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and that fixed it. Here are the specific instructions that I was given.

Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

i used an apple account of a friend to download apps to my iphone, the account then closed, now when i tried to update apps i download it from my account or i buy it using my account, its says that i have to put the password of my friend account, and if i want to update any app i downloaded or buy from my i have to delete it and download it again.
what can i do??As far as I know you should be prompted for the password for an account that 'owns' one of the apps that requires updating.
If all of the apps with updates are linked to your account and that is the account that is now logged in, then you could try a reset and see if that helps : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
