HT4199 I am using hotel's wi-fi and cannot go to them and ask to change their password as my ipad cannot accept it because it is too short!
The button 'join' is greyed out. I guess because the password is too short, 7 characters.
The password is correct as I am using it on another device but want to use iPad and this is really not helpful.

Often, if you can identify yourself as the owner of the account, they can reset the questions for you. This is the only way you can get back into your account

I need to use an existing ID (email address) on a new iPhone. It tells me "choose another ID - that one is in use," with the option to "use existing ID," however, it is an endless loop, referring me only to change my password on the existing ID.
How do I enable my new device with an existing ID - I do not need to change the password for the millionth time!
None of the FAQs (or the Community choices below) address new devices, they are all about APPS and iCloud stuff.If it is an existing iCloud ID, you should be able to just go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with it.

I used to able to access and listen to my itunes library on my ipad using the remote app but this no longer works. I am connected but sound thru ipad- just controls my library on iMac. Is this because of they want us to use itunes match
That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun. -
I use a yahoo account for my e-mail which worked fine until I changed my password a few weeks ago. I now keep getting a message up telling me to insert my password again. I know I'm putting in the right password but this is driving me to distraction!

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
You may have multiple entries.

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers

No, "My Number" was not listed in my Phone menu, I had to manually type it it. Is there a way for that number to automatically be listed in that "My Number" spot? Would that maybe have something to do with my phone number not being listed as an option in the "Send and Receive" spot under messaging???

If i buy an iphone in USA and don't buy a contract, could i use it in Denmark then and buy a contract their and still have no problems with the iPhone.
If you buy an Unlocked iPhone from the US, you can use that phone on any carrier that supports that particular phone (either GSM or CDMA). So yes, this is possible. But if anything happens to the phone that requires Apple's help, you will have to ship it back to US for that service.

Welcome to the Support Communities! There are two things I can think of to keep your Stepdad's information separate from yours on the computer and the iPad. On the computer, he should have his own administrative account, and on the iPad he needs his own Apple ID for iTunes and iCloud services. Here is some basic information to get started. I am going crazy changing passwords that do not get recognized by the different services when it is time to use them, until I am asked to change the password again, starting the vicious cycle again: i need to use the password, it does not get recognized three times, then the system asks me to change it again, and again, and I am stuck!! Is there any fix for this "glitch?
The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

I cannot get my password reset on apple itunes to start using my iphone. Tried website to reset password and asked to send email/same as user. Never getting email. Tried with my birthdate but that is not accepting. Called apple 8002752273 and guy told me Apple has had problems with this for weeks. Nothing he could do for me - i could answer all his security questions but birthdate. He said send a letter to itunes help , he could not provide. Could be weeks before anyone gets back to me? We have two iphones and only one ipad - no mac. We want to be able to use "find my iphone" for both phones. How do we get the ipad to accept two iphone accounts? icloud is enabled on all three devices.
Also, be aware of the following:
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod/iPhone should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.
