HT4236 I downloaded ios 5 yesterday and synced all my pictures and vidoes gone from I pad can I get back?

I downloaded IOS 5??? yesterday and synced, last night when I went to look at photos and videos they were all gone. How do I get them back? I noticed all my pictures from my computer were now on I pad but nothing that was originally on I pad, everything gone. Could this be on my computer some where?

Demo is right. If you have a backup/synced with your PC you might be lucky finding a previous backup? You can just restore your iPhone to get your photos & videos back. Simply sync your iPhone via iTunes to transfer the files back to your device. Alternatively, you can also use iPhone Backup Extractor to extract the media files off to your computer (assuming you have a backup of the files you are referring to).

If data were on the SSD drive with TRIM - practically no chance. If HDD - use DIY recovery software such as DiskDrill or DataResue.
As quickly as possible turn off the drive where deleted data.
Use an external HDD with installed OSX for data recovery.

downloaded ios7 yesterday and lost 3G contacted apple who told me to restore and start the software procedure again. Got 3G back but then lost text tone all alerts are on etc and now the iphone 4 has went into recovery mode
Tried to restore a few times and im getting an error message my iphone will not switch on as it still in recovery mode please help losing patience..really shoudlnt have to download for a third time

try connecting your phone to the charger that came with it, which plugs into the wall, and reset the phone by holding the power and the home buttons until it turns off.
Then turn it on again, it will still be in recovery mode, and attempt to restore it again.

There was if you used any of the backup strategies you listed in your first sentence. iTunes functions as the backup software for your iOS device. MobileMe similarly aacts as a backup if you need to restore your phone.
Since you chose to work without a safety net, it would seem you have lost all the contacts. That was a risk level you were comfortable enough with. The important take away here is that all computers need to be backed up. And there is more computer in your iPhone than the computers that flew a space ship to the moon.

My Iphoto is now unuseable after the latest update. I have tried everything I know to get it to work. I have worked with someone here but was unable to get the problem solved. So, what I want to know now, is there a way to get back to the old version of Iphoto. The brown version of the avatar not the blue. Even though my brown version still shows when I click on it to open, the blue comes up.
I have lost photos and everything. Thank goodness for Carbonite but even some of those photos were corrupted.

I suppose you did not have a backup of your hard drive?
You need to be very exact in posting because we only have what you say with which to work. You see some of your music listed in your library but all your playlists are gone and a lof of music also isn't listed in the iTune window? I have never heard of that and to me it would say major file corruption on your computer, but then it surprises me the library file would even open. If that's the case you may need to rebuild your library from scratch with whatever files are in your media folder. This is going to take some doing so I won't start until I know that's what you need to do. Of course if you do have a backup then you can restore everything quickly.

It depends on exactly what you did; or did not do; also on what backups you may have.
Firefox tries to automatically keep some auto restore copies of bookmarks and history. If you do an uninstall and reinstall of firefox it will give you the option to retain personal data.
If you have previously explicitly made backups of bookmarks etc by exporting them, it should be relatively straightforward to recommence using those files. If that option is not available, what about your ordinary backups , do they include the bookmarks.

You need to copy the iTunes liubrary from your Old computer, or its Backup, to your New computer...

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.
P.S. Trust me, I'm not laughing.
