If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

Have you authorized the Computer to your Apple ID?
If not, sign on to iTunes.
Then got to the Store menu option at the top of the screen (CTL+B if it is not showing), and click on it to display the dropdown, and select Authorize this computer.
If that doesn't work, then sign on your Dad's iTunes ID and repeat the Authorization process.

If you use Photoshop at all, you may need to install the latest update to resolve this issue. See this blog post for more information:

If you do not have Photoshop, then try the solution that others have mentioned previously:
Open the Adobe Application Manager (AAM).
If applicable, let AAM complete any automatic updates and restart itself.

Open a CS6 application (e.g. InDesign CC).
If prompted (e.g. you get the trial screen), click "License This Software" and sign in with your Adobe ID.

My itunes page has been replaced by a small window in the upper left hand corner of the desktop. i can control my music, but cannot access radio, itunes store etc. ie can only play my music in a random order that i cannot control. i am unable to return

i was listening to the radio on i tunes and suddenly the itunes page dissapeared and a small window appeared in the upper left hand side of the desktop. i can control only my music via this window which has a search fwd and back arrow and a play and pause button. there is also a volumn set to full. i can control my music by the volumn control at the top rt of all pages. i want to access the itunes store and the radio, but cannot (can access the itunes store by googleing it.

Downloaded Mountain Lion from App Store, but it says by disk is locked and won't let me choose the hard drive for installation

I'm struggling to get Mountain Lion installed on my machine, but what is worse is that it has essentially rendered my computer useless (and of course I need to use it urgently). After downloading and installing from the App Store, I have run into some significant problems.
On install, when prompted to "select the disk where you want to install OS X" the hard drive is greyed out and a message comes up that says "The disk is locked."
So when I back out of the install, I am given the option for Disk Utility, Reinstall OS X (same results as before) or Restore from Backup (not backed up).
On the Disk Utility, I can hit Verify Disk and it names an error and says to hit Repair Disk. The error is an "Invalid Sibling Link. The volume Macintost HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired." Unfortunately, Repair Disk is greyed out and I can't hit it.
What I want to do is just forget the entire process at this point and scrap the upgrade until I have time to figure out what is going on. Is there a way to abort at this point?

You should always have and keep an up to date backup.
Sounds like you need something a little stronger than Disk Utility. At this point I have no way of knowing if Disk Warrior can or will help.

If you reinstall OS X, then No it will not.
Problem is that according to the Disk Utility message, I don't think that you will be able to install either 10.6 or 10.8.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

See these two, try everything you can before renaming places.sqlite, such as the corrupt local store, backing up and restoring bookmarks, etc. -- because you do not want to lose your history by deleting or renaming places.sqlite. I did un-install and then re-install per the Adobe recommendations which are what you listed in your reply. The problem remained until I did a MS Windows restore to a restore point a month or so ago. The IE problems vanished. However, now I'm using an outdated and unsupported version that is lower than most of the web pages require for their sites, at least the ones I want to view (they all say I need to upgrade my Flash Player which, when I did, put me in this fix).
