i took pictures on my iphone previously before i restored it, how do i get those pictures and videos back

Restore is like wiping hard drive of the computer, to get anything back in that case is only possible if you have backup. If you did create backup, follow instructions here to restore from it.

  • I had to reset my iPhone. How do I get my apps and music back?

I had to reset my iPhone. How do I get my apps and music back? It is backed up on iCloud.  Thanks

Restore it from your iCloud backup. Here are the instructions:

Expect it to take a long time, several hours if you purchased many apps and / or songs.

First things first if your iPhone cannot be recognised by your computer then you wont be able to get those photos off the iPhone.
In the event that it can be recognised you could import the photos to your PC/Mac. Follow the article below to do this:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices
Or you could do a back up on iTunes of the iPhone which would save the photos in your camera roll. The article below will guide you on how to do this:

  • My computer and my iphone crashed, so how do I get my music and apps back?

My OS went out on PC while reinstalling Windows my iphone froze.  I took my phone to the apple store and the only way they could fix my was to to reset it.  The reset restore my phone to new, which wiped off all of my pictures, contacts, music, calendar, and apps.  I discovered later that reinstalling Windows wiped my itunes clean. Fortunately, I was able to get a few of my contacts from my google accounts, but not any of the one I had gotten recently.   How can I get back everything I have purchased and downloaded over the last few years?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everyhting back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup, not good, then:

  • HT4859 How to get the photos and videos backed up on iCloud to import.

I had not sync my phone prior to them replacing my phone but the Mac Genius said I was not going to lose any of the stuff on my phone because I had used iCloud.  I was able to successfully back up all my files but am unable to import the new photos and videos that I had not previously sync to my computer.  Am I missing something? I am getting an error message and the items I want to import appear to be blank in iPhoto.
    Thanks

Connect your iPhone to your computer. Tp your pc should recognize your iPhone as a camera. Use what ever application you have on the pc to transfer files from a camera to your computer.

  • IPhone 4 in constant Restore mode - how can I get it back?

I have an iPhone 4 running the atest version of iOS5 with the update from a few days ago as well as the newest version of iTunes from two days ago. I was working two hours from home today and I shut down the phone. When I tried to restart it an hour later, I got the screen telling me to plug my phone into my computer and iTunes. The phone is synced to my desktop, so no luck with that. I borrowed another person's MacBook and cord and tried to sync it, but since there was no internet connection it wouldn't do anything. I was without my phone the rest of the day. After work I found the nearest Apple store and took the phone in. the guy in the store told me the phone was locked in Recovery mode and needed to be restored. I needed to call my wife so I had him restore the phone in the store so the phone would work, even if I lost all my settings. Phone tools worked fine on the drive home, and I was able to reset my email to check in as well. However, once I got home I tried to sync the phone to my desktop and restore the settings from my latest backup & sync (last night), I noticed that once the restore was finished, all my purchased apps were gone from the phone, my folders were all rearranged and empty or missing, and the only message I could get on iTunes was that my phone needed to be restored again. I've tried restoring it from my backup three times, and at completion each time the only possible option I'm given is either to restore it using the backup or set it up as a new phone. All my apps are still in my app folder on iTunes, but I am given NO option at all to check any other information on the phone. It simply tells me that the computer has been synced to another device (which it hasn't) and that I can either set it up as a new phone or restore it from the backup, which just starts the cycle over again.
The guy at the Apple store said that it was possible that the firmware had been corrupted, or some other problem, and that I may need ot get a new phone. It's out of warranty and I didn't buy AppleCare (last time I'll make that mistake - it's paid for itself with all my computers), so I cannot afford to buy a new phone at $700 a pop. I'm still running OSX 10.6.8 on my desktop, not quite ready to upgrade to Lion for many reasons. Does anyone have any ideas about glitches between the new iOS5 update and the latest iTunes 10.5.1? I know there have been issues with the iOS5 update anyway.

I ended up doing the exact same thing and was just as surprised when it worked. Seems backwards and counterintuitive, and it's probably a big glitch somewhere in iOS5 and/or iTunes, but it did work.
Now, however, I have a new problem. I have a Bluetooth-enabled Garmin nuvi 2360 GPS I use in my car for hands-free calling with the iPhone. Never had any problems with connecting until after the restore last night. Now, even tho the iPhone is discoverable and attempts to connect, it always fails. Anyone know if there are issues with the Bluetooth capabilities of the phone with iOS5? I'm almost paranoid to try and sync the phone or shut it down again in case it craps out again. May take it to the Apple Store, but I've got a feeling they'll either tell me there's nothing they can do or that I have to buy a new phone, and I just can't do it right now.

  • Iphone sync is making me crazy how can I get data to and from my iphone without syncing?

I'm a pc user and i'm sick of the iphone sync process jacking up my life when I decide to reinstall windows and the old itunes data is no longer there. how can I etup my iphone to not have to sync but transfer data to and from it like an android?

The only way to get data onto the phone is by syncing.  To get some photos off the phone you can connect the phone to the computer with USB cable and use windows explorer to view and copy the photos from the phone to the computer.  You could use a program like ibackupbot or something similar on your computer and get data off the phone to your computer using that

  • How do I transfer my purchased songs/albums back from itunes to iphone 3g after a restore?, How do I transfer my purchased songs/albums back from itunes to iphone 3g after a restore?

I recently blocked my phone by entering the password incorrectly so I restored the phone as suggested by other users. This has worked but only some of my data has been saved and restored back to my iphone. However not one of my songs has been moved over? My iphone is still connected to the computer and to itunes since its restore. I can see my purchased items in the 'purchased' section under 'PLAYLISTS' however none of them transfer over to itunes on my iphone even after I have attempted to sync again?
    Any advice grately appreciated.

Is the missing content actually in iTunes on the computer?
If it is, sync it to the device the same way all other content is synced.  Tell iTunes to sync it... it will not magically happen.
If it is not in the iTunes library on the computer, you may be able to redownload past purchases from iTunes.

  • How do i get my music and apps back after downloading ios5 for an iPhone 4

I upgraded to ios5 and all of my music and apps were deleted off of my phone. how do i get it back, especially my music becase all the muic on my phone was from just one computer. i've tried the back up option but it doesnt do anything.

Regardless of where the content came from, backups do not contain media.
It is ultimately up to the user to manage their content and ensure it all exists in an accessible location.
Have you failed to maintain backups of your media regardless of which computer it originated on?

  • How can i get my apps and music back after upgrading to ios5? i back up my iphone and sync it. only contacts and settings are the same now..

    above

Music is never sync'd back across, its always done manually. Apps should automatically sync back across after you restore from backup.

  • I updated my computer and now can't open my old iphoto, how can I get those pictures back?

I updated the version on my computer, and want to see my old photos. How can I get those back since I now have a new version of iphoto? Can I download the old version of iPhoto? Please help!!! I had so many old photos I need back!!!

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
    1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept the applications into your Apple ID, do so.
    2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
    3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
    4. Buy them.

  • I have lost all volume and sound from my iPhone 4S, even tho its on loud and I have checked all my settings. How do I get the volume and sound back on?

I have done all checks, rebooted my phone but I hVe lost all sound from it. When i play videos/ music... My key sounds have gone everything!
I've checked my settings they are all set to loud... What else can I do?

After wiping it, you need to re-activate it. If it is carrier locked, you will need to activate it on the network it is locked to.

  • Iphone 3GS- How do you get the pictures to show up larger when someone call

Iphone 3GS- How do you get the pictures to show up larger when someone calls? I know this seems trivial but I have difficulty seeing, so one of the reasons I actually purchased this phone was for this feature. When the photos do come up they come up in the top right corner in small boxes / windows. I already google'd this topic and they suggested importing the photos - to itunes and than directly on to the iphone, I did this and it didn't work. Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either. I looked in settings and could not find anything that discussed this issue. Although I do believe I have seen iphones that ring with large pictures. Am i Crazy?

    You aren't crazy.
Adding the photo to contacts on the computer gets you the smaller pix when people call.
Assign the photo on the phone itself and you get full-size pix.
Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either.
So, that certainly should work. Try it again? Try it with a brand new contact, maybe it is not overwriting a previously existing picture.
I suppose there is a small possibility that Apple thought this differing behavior was a bug instead of a feature and "fixed" it with a recent update, but I doubt it.
