HT4972 ipad used to work fine with wifi Vizio. now the connection does not work while other lap tops and Ipods in the house work fine with wifi. any suggestions to solve this please
Any suggestions please on how to recover connection of ipad2 to Vizio wifi? (it worked fine in the last few months but the connection no longer exist although other laptops continue to have wifi connection to the same Vizio router.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I had the same issue. What I did was save the movies on a thrid-party app like Download Manager Lite. Once downloaded, go back to itunes, go to your iDevice, go to apps and transfer the app, then scroll down and click on the app and from there you can send the movies to that app and WILL play. Can only hold up to 8 videos/movies (this is for iPod Touch 3G or better, iPhone 3s or better, iPad requires iOS 4.3 or better)

If your just putting them on iTunes, it should show and play on iTunes no problem.

Syncronizing my 3gs with itunes the sync does not finish because itunes always crash and stuck and i can not sync my device, i dont no whats wrong because the itunes even can not acess itunes store, still loading waiting for itunes store and nothing.I tryed reinstall itunes but just waste of time.

You asked what I meant about saving the installer on your PC.
When you go to the iTunes download page:

And click on download, you should be offered the choice of running the installer or saving it. You need to click on save and then choose a folder on you PC where you want it saved. But I think you already did that.
After the installer file - iTunessetup.exe - is save on your computer, you double click on it to run it.
It's very odd that the installer fails at different stages. usually when the installation fails, it is at a specific stage and usually generates an error message.
I am afraid I am mystified. Have you had any other problems with your PC which might suggest a general problem not specific to iTunes?
The only other suggestion I have is to download a fresh copy of the installer - in case it got corrupted. You could also try using "run as administrator" to run the installer. It should be an option if you right click on the installer file.
The other thing it might be worth trying is to install it from another account, but you would need to create another administrator account if you don't a;ready have one. Or if you have another account that is not an admin account, you can temporarily promote it from the control panel>>User accounts. -

I have bought a photoshop elements and have installed it on my MacBookPro. I have just bought an iMac and what to install on this computer as well. The iMac does not have a disc drive. I have copied the file onto a remote hard drive and tried to install but it thinks I have a pirate copy. What can I do?

I do have an iphone4s with me and whats happening now is that it is stuck in the "itunes logo". What i did is that i try restoring the phone with itunes but it didnt go through. The process was not successful. An error appeared and it stops the restore. PLEASE HELP

My time machine back up does not appear to back up documents and e mails (the most important things for me). How do I get this done?
How do you know it's not backing up those things? To check documents, go in the Finder to your documents folder, then go to the Time Machine icon in your menubar and click Enter Time Machine. Scroll back through time and see if previous versions of the documents exist in the backups.
For Mail, same thing. Open the Mail app, go into Time Machine in the same way, and scroll back. Your inbox should change to reflect how it looked when it was backed up.

I would like to take the music that I have in my lap top - purchased and downloaded, and transfer it into my new account that I established on the ipad.
With 2 different account names and passwords, I am not sure how to connect the 2 - or transfer files from one to the other. My husband has also purchased songs to his ipod touch only - and we want to make one unified file of our musicI have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

I have recently purchased (from the States) an ipod nano 6th generation. I belong to a local library and can download books from the audiobooks online section. Problem is, my iPod when synced to iTunes, does not show Library as a category and audiobooks. For some reason, it is allowing me to download the books to my iPod, but I am unable to delete them from the iPod, and also, it is giving an echo (I think somehow it is downloading twice which is giving an echo effect). Not sure what is going on, but if anyone can advise me on this I would be very grateful.

If you have an issue with the audiobook showing up in music, check to see if those tracks are labeled as audio books or music. The article below will explained as well as I have highlighted the main portion for changing that information.

When I place an Aperture photo on the cloud to share with friends, the idenfifcation information I have entered for the photo does not transfer to the cloud and thus my friends get only the photo. Is there a setting I am missing that would allow the text to go along with the photograph?
The photo stream will transfer the EXIF information set by the camera and the filname/version name. Try to get any information you want to transfer into the filename by batch changing the filename with "write to master" enabled. Aloso, you can set a comment, when sharing the image to the Photo Stream.

I got this iphone 4S 4days ago. So far I have had to reset my apple ID password because it wouldn't accept the passwork I've been using for the past 8 years. then I signed up for email @me.com and it later wouldn't accept that password either. I've been using my gmail account just fine and now it is telling me that the password is wrong and I have not touched a thing. What is happening. The password works fine on my laptop.
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. My I pad with Retina and wifi+cellular will no longer allow my camera to flip away and take photos. I've reset settings and it still will not allow me. Before I went to bed it worked. It now only shows a black screen like there is a cover on it. Any suggestions?

I suspect it's to do with IOS7 but not everyone is affected, mine was working before. I have read on some forums that Apple have just replaced the iPad as they have not been able to resolve the issue. If yours is new I would take it back and ask to try another with IOS7 installed before swapping. -

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Is there any way to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse pad?
I have a laptop that is still under warentee. It has been in the repair shop and I have contacted HP support twice. I cannot type a complete sentence without the cursor jumping to another location and screwing up what I have already typed. I know there is a double click on the mouse pad to turn it off, but that is un-acceptable because I have to keep turning it on to move the cursor to another spot to operate a function then turn it off again. Can I either: return it to HP for a real computer, or, let the neighbors dog chew on it for a few days then throw it in the trash? I have an HP printer that works very well for me, but for the money spent on this computer, I don't think that any other HP products are in my future if this problem is not resolved soon.
At this point, there has not been anyone who seems to understand how to fix it. The telephone assistant really tried to find a solution, but it likely was not something that was covered in his flip chart.
I have had other computers and not one of them has been like this.... Perhaps I bought a top of the line laptop for not!
It is a Pavilion dv6-6149nr.
It runs out of warentee on July first of this year. I am discusted with it and the lack of help for the problem. I have put up with this problem for long enough.

Bookmarks are still being updated and saved. Recently closed tabs, Recently closed windows are being recorded as they should. I have a single .json file on my profile directory, search.json. I don't know if there should be another one for the browsing history. It looks like some index file for the history database was lost or corrupted, or re-created as an empty file. places.sqlite-journal has zero bytes; places.sqlite-stmtjrnl has 37 kbytes, date 2008-07-15.
I kept trying to solve this problem, and after a few unsuccessful attempts, the only thing which worked was uninstalling Firefox (keeping all my customizations) and then reinstalling Firefox 3.6.10 (which is apparently no longer available at mozilla.org, but which I could easily find at filehippo.com). The unsuccessful attempts I made were: (1) Install Firefox 4 beta; (2) uninstall Firefox 4 beta, Firefox 3.6.11 (in both uninstalls, keeping my customizations), and reinstall Firefox 3.6.11.
So right now I am stuck at Firefox 3.6.10, or I will loose access to my browsing history. If anyone at Mozilla.org is reading this, I would suggest taking a look at this issue to see if it can be reproduced and fixed. I am running Windows XP (fully updated), Brazilian Portuguese version.
