My iPad will not take my username and password since I upgraded to 7.0.2.

try this
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

IF your imessage is saying waiting for activation then do this:
backup your phone to itunes or icloud.
then on your phone go to settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe your phone clean.
once the process is done, you can restore from the backup you made, then you should be able to activate your imessage.

Safari 5.0 will not prompt to remember username and passwords

Safari 5.0 will not prompt to remember username and passwords for new sites I joined. It will remember the old ones but not the new. Under Safari< preferences> the autofill in all 3 places is checked. A box used to drop down when joining the site for the first time and say... Save Never Not Now.
Now nothing happens. Anyone got any suggestions?

Go to ~/Library/Preferences and move the com.apple.keychainaccess.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
If that didn't help, open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities) Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the *Safari Forms Autofill* keychain.
Relaunch Safari.

ITunes will not accept my Apple ID and Password via Apple TV

Hi there. My Apple ID and Password work perfectly well on my computer and allows access to the iTunes store. However, when I try logging into the iTunes store to rent a movie on my Apple TV it keeps on saying Apple ID or password not recognised (or words to that effect). Any ideas anyone. It's been like this for ages and is driving me nuts! (I updated the Apple TV software today).

I seem to remember seeing something similar when I first connected mine. My userid/pwd were constantly rejected when I tried to rent a movie, and no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to work. However when I reentered the exact same details under the ATV settings menu and then went back to rent the movie it was fine, and has been ever since. Am not in front of the unit so I can't remember which option it was under the settings menu but it was pretty obvious...

Asking for iCloud account name and password to play iTunes radio when I have done it in the past many times without this question. Will not accept my apple id and password. Will not save my changed password. Where do I start?

I have a MAC with OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.2, 8GB, 2.7 GHz, intel core i5. Until 2 days ago, I could click on iTunes radio, pick my station and listen. Then 2 days ago, I do this and system asks for my iCloud account id and password. Does not recognize apple id or password. I change the password, does not save it. Screen that lists 2 step verification asks for added security questions, I do those and still will not allow me access. What do I do and where do I start? Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.

I suspect that your OSX version (listed above as 10.5.5) is old, otherwise you would not be able to have iCloud service to begin with.
To test your icloud ID and password, go to icloud.com and log in there using your id/password to test this info. If you can log in, then you're using the right id/password. If you are, be sure the mac is connected to the internet. Let us know what happens.

Some water got into my iPad 1. I put it away in a drawer and bought the iPad 2. About eight months later I came across the first iPad, so I plugged it in. Sure enough it started working again. It had all my info on it and I want to give it to my grandkids. How would I take my apple username and password off of it?

I would say your best bet for this would be for you to do a update and restore in iTunes on a computer to make sure none of your info is on the device. If you do not feel comfortable with that then you can sign out of the iTunes store and App store by going into Settings > (iTunes and App) Store > View Account > Sign Out

Before you do anything else, try charging via a wall outlet for a while, since its off. Then try turning it back on.
When you put the device into recovery mode it allows you to restore the device when no other options work. You do risk losing everything currently strored on the ipad itself. Hopefully you've performed regular backups either via itunes, icloud or both. Evern if you have synced content to either of those, you may not lose everything. All previous purchases have been saved in the itunes and app stores, so you can dowload them again.
while the ipad is off, press and hold the home button and plug the usb cord into the ipad. You should see a message pop up on the itunes window on your compoter screen that state it has discoverd an ipad in recovery mode.

going to "transfer purchases' does work - however the thermometer bar at the bottom reflecting apps, music, video, book, etc cpapcity fraks out, sliding left to right maybe 4 or 5 times during the process. Have you ever seen this?
After it is finished, the SYNC button is not longer darkened - so I thought it was safe to attampt an upgrade to OS05... which i am doing now... takes maybe 20 mins and then I normally get the error "the applications on this ipad cannot be verified" and the bottom thermometer bar zeros out all by my music. The content and apps are all fine on teh ipad. so strange. I made an appointment with customer service tomrrow AM - but i do not think i should have to pay for this - i have never even used support before!
I will update if it works - or re[eats the strange pattern again and does not update.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Ipad 2 doesn't save apple id and password

Hi all,
I bought my parents an ipad2 so that I can use facetime with them. they are computer illiterate, but they do know how to turn the computer on! It is becoming very frustrating that their ipad does not automatically hold their ID and password. When trying to get onto facetime, the ipad always asks them which id and email address do they want to use.
Initially trying to set up their account I ended up using 2 email addresses. how do I remove one of those addresses from ipad?
Help please because I can see their ipad will be damaged soon due to complete frustration.

If your company purchased it directly from Apple and if your order shows the serial number, Apple may be able to unlock it for you. I work for a school district and I know that Apple will do this for us if we have proof of purchase.
