Html form page navigation

Both attachments are renamed as .xml files to allow upload. Rename as .xdp to test.
I have attached two example .xdp files which I have been testing under FormsIVS 8.2 rendering as auto detect html.
The file [paging test 1.xdp] consists of 5 top level subforms containing the required content.
The file [paging test 2.xdp] consists of a single top level subform containg the same 5 (now second level) subforms as [paging test 1.xdp]
My problem is this:
[paging test 1.xdp] renders as required - 5 individual pages.
[paging test 2.xdp] renders as a single page
My goal is to create form fragments which contain more than one individual html page, but it seems impossible to do this as creating a multiple page fragment automatically wraps the pages in a top level subform and results in it being rendered as a single page in html.
Any ideas?

There are problems getting attachments from the system at the moment....if you email them to [email protected] I will have a look when I get a second.

  • HtmlOutputLink and HTML 'in page' navigation

    hi all;
    i have a small problem. long message please be patient.
    consider the following web application:
    app/main.jsp
    app/register/registration.jsp
    app/.....
    in the application view temaplate there is a marquee custom jsf component included on every page of the application. also in the main page, i navigate to the lower part of the page using the URL www.mysite.com/main.jsp#BUTTOM inside the marquee component.
    the first page of the application is www.mysite.com/main.jsp
    when moving to the registration page the address displayed on the top of the browser is www.mysite.com/main.jsp which is how JSF navigation works (displaying the last visited page address, not the current one).
    the problem is that after moving to the registration page and then trying to click on the marquee component link to www.mysite.com/main.jsp#BUTTOM, nothing happens, just the address on the browser changes from www.mysite.com/main.jsp to www.mysite.com/main.jsp#BUTTOM, but no action happens on the server and the page displayed stays the registration page. this happens only when clicking the marquee link from resources that reside on nested folders! (not directry under the root).
    is this a bug or a regular behaviour?
    i think i can solve the problem using <redirect> on the navigation but are there alternatives?

    Can't you use relative address rather than the full address? i.e. try using just #BUTTOM instead of the full url with #BUTTOM appended.
    Mike.

  • Rwcgi60 opens db user authetication (html form)

    Hi,
    My env. is
    OiAs-1.0.2 (which also includes report server), oracle 8i, win-2000.
    I have to run the report using "rwcgi60.exe".
    When i give following URL in browser, it opens "Database User Authentication" html form page
    http://localhost/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe?server=Rep60_macname&report=r11.rdf&userid=ops$abc/ops$abc@sae&destype=cache&desformat=PDF&center1=1
    Here note that username/password is "ops$abc" which contains "$". But when i specify scott/tiger, it works. So is it problem with rwcgi60.exe ?
    How to overcome from this problem ?
    And also note that RWServlet is not working on windows thats why i have to choose rwcgi60.exe. (Even config instruction for RWServlet is Only for solaris !!! not tested on Windows-2000 ???? )
    Thanks in advance,
    Darshak

    Hi,
    But which one is "known problem" ...
    "$" in username/password for "rwcgi60.exe"
    OR to run RWServlet on Windows ?
    And When Patch 5 will release ?
    Thanks,

  • Flash navigation and HTML forms

    Wondering if any one can help. Whenever I use an html form on
    an html page, my flash navigation will not show up. The area where
    it should be is blank and my browser status bar says that there are
    two items remaining (my flash navs). The browser stays like this
    indefinately, not completely loading the page.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks,
    Elise

    Thank you for reply. I appreciate it. So, if I understand
    correctly:
    I would embed the navbar.swf in all my html files. Then Each
    button would go to each html pages (Like page1.htm page2.htm
    etc...) Then I use your code in my html file right? Like each html
    file will have the following code:
    <param name="movie" value="nav.swf?frame=page2">
    Is that how it works. Sorry for not being able to your
    answer.
    Thank you very much again

  • Is there a way to create reusable HTML Forms that can be used on multiple pages?

    I'm trying to understand the recommended approach to managing 10 HTML forms that will be reused on many different pages.  I want to be able to modify the form definition once and have the change propogate.

    Is your requirement that authors be able to change the form definition, or should form definition be controlled by developers?
    In the case of authors being able to change the form definition then I would say best practice would be to create a page that holds the form definition (using whatever components work for you - either the out of the box form components or something custom). Then use the reference component to point the definition in all the other locations you want the form to appear. One thing to note is if you are using dispatcher for caching you need to make sure you strategy for cache flushing accomadates this approach.
    In the case of developers controlling the form definition you could crate a component for each form, and then simly drag that component onto the pages that require the form. In this case your would control all the form label and description elements in the localization file.

  • In portlets, how to use a html form passing  values to the another page?

    it is well known that in web developing , we have two methods to pass values to another page.<!--
    1. passing values

    but how to use two methods in oracle portal portlets?
    I have got a simple example which submit two values to the page for itself, means a page has a form with submit botton, user input the form with values and then submit them by submit botton, then the page recevice those values and show it .

    Hi Moonsoft,
    I have already answered this query in the other post at Re: how to link more than one links in portlet?(jsp develop)
    <form name = "showPageForm" method = "POST" action = "<%= UrlUtils.htmlFormActionLink(pReq,UrlUtils.PAGE_LINK) %>">
      <%= UrlUtils.htmlFormHiddenFields(pReq,UrlUtils.PAGE_LINK, "showPageForm") %>
      <input type="text" name="param1">
      <input type="text" name="param2">
      <input type="hidden" name="myPPN" value="/htdocs/page2.jsp">
    </form>then in your jsp code on page2.jsp, you will extract the parameters by specifying
    <%
      String p1 = request.getParameter("param1");
      String p2 = request.getParameter("param2");
    %>
    >>this is easy common jsp or asp development, but in oracle is too diffcult!!!!
    :-) .. there is a difference between web-applications and portlets, you just need to get used to it once. I hope this does clarify your doubts.
    thanks,

  • 11g Forms Tab-Page Navigation

    I am using Forms 11g on Solaris.
    A main navigator form opens another form which has a content canvas, tab-page canvas and (3) stacked canvases.
    The problem I am having is with tab-page navigation.     CTRL+TAB ( next ) and CTRL+SHIFT+TAB ( previous )
    As long as I do not initiate navigation from an item on a stacked canvas, navigation is as expected ( between tab pages only ).
    However, navigating from an item within a stacked canvas causes navigation to the parent form.
    Repeating the tab navigation keys from the parent form returns to the called form.
    Note that both key-combinations simply toggle back and forth.
    I have found no documentation on tab-page navigation so any help / insight is greatly appreciated !
    Mike

    Hi Soofi !
    Changing block order in the called form does not affect the navigation between tab pages.
    Note in my question that the resulting undesired navigation is to and from the calling form ( which only has one block ).
    Navigation between items and blocks works as expected.
    To reiterate -
         The only navigation that fails is when I attempt to CTRL+TAB or CTRL+SHIFT+TAB to another tab page from within an item on a stacked canvas.
         Attempting this navigation results in moving the cursor focus to the calling form.
         Repeating the attempt from the calling form moves back to the called form.
         None of your methods mention navigation between forms .
    Thanks for your interest.

    How can I embed an DOCTYPE HTML Form from Adobe Forms central into a responsive html5 page?
    -Luis

    Hi,
    You can embed the form on your website, but you need to make sure that javascript has been enabled in the browser. You need to copy the embed code and add it into your HTML code. If you would like FormsCentral to generate embeded HTML form without using javascript, you may post a feature request and vote it. Hope it helps! Thanks!

  • Creating Pages in PeopleSoft with more than one HTML Form

    Hi,
    We've a requirement to create a page in PIA with more than one HTML form.
    As per PBooks - "The page being developed cannot be built using PeopleSoft Application Designer.
    An example of this is a page that requires more than one HTML form.
    PeopleSoft Pure Internet Architecture places the entire page inside of a single form tag, so no other HTML form tags can be added.
    In this case the requirements of the page can't be met by pages created in PeopleSoft Application Designer, so use IScripts instead."
    If someone can share his/her experience, It Would be of great help to me.
    -Thanks!!

    Take a look at my IScript postings. Let me know if you still have questions after reading these blog posts.

  • Federated Portal Content and HTML Page Navigation

    I have an HTML Landing page for several worksets that is hosted off of a static content server to reduce lag time from things like KM iViews.

    Currently, I need to figure out how to have this HTML page load an iView from a content portal while linked from a Producer Portal. Any thoughts?

  • Previous page navigation after on click of cancel button of a form in adf

    Hi,
    Can any one tell how previous page navigation works in adf?
    I am working on a portal page which is having a common footer for all jspx pages.This footer contains a golink for feedback form.
    so the problem is when I Navigate to any page (# page 1)and then Navigate to some other page (#page 2) and on click of Feedback link displayed on footer of page 2 Feedback form is displayed. and on Click of Cancel button of the form.
    Expected Result:
    User should be navigated to the page that they were on. (i.e., Page 2)
    Actual Result:
    User is navigated to page 1 instead of page 2
    i.e it is taking browser previous url.
    I am using the following code for the cancel button
    <af:commandLink text="Cancel" id="cl5">
    <af:clientListener method="goBack" type="click"/>

  • Submiting HTML Forms with JavaFX Webview

    I've long been searching for a good web robot framework. And I also need a gui for my robot.
    So w/ the advent of JAVAFX Webengine it seemed my needs have been met finally. Specially because on the webview tutorial here , Alla Redko says: "+It supports user interaction such as navigating links *and submitting HTML forms*+".
    But after looking at the api it doesn't seem that webengine supports submiting forms, only loading pages w/ the load() method. I guess I could populate the form fields and submit them w/ executeScript() but that's just sloppy.
    Is there a way to actually submit forms w/ webengine? Are there plans to implement this feature, analogous to the load() method?
    Thanks,
    JC

    Yea, as I mentioned in the first post, I could do all that w/ JS but it's just sloppy, since I'm using Java language, not JS.
    The finding certain fields part is easy w/ the Document model and xpath, it's the populating the fields and submiting the form along w/ its hidden input fields that is the missing part.
    Does anyone know if these things are planned for the future of Webview/Webengine?You can already do this in Java today using the existing APIs if you so wished.

  • Page navigation problems

    Hi all,
    I am new to JSF, and I am trying to implement a simple page navigation which displays some values that the user entered. The values are stored in a managed bean. It's a simple login form. I am using NetBeans as my IDE. My page navigation is set up as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <faces-config version="1.2" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-facesconfig_1_2.xsd">
    <navigation-rule>
    <from-view-id>/index.jsp</from-view-id>
    <navigation-case>
    <from-outcome>login</from-outcome>
    <to-view-id>/login.jsp</to-view-id>
    </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>
    </faces-config>
    And my JSF page is setup as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <jsp:root version="1.2" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" xmlns:webuijsf="http://www.sun.com/webui/webuijsf">
    <jsp:directive.page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="UTF-8"/>
    <f:view>
    <webuijsf:page binding="#{index.page1}" id="page1">
    <webuijsf:html binding="#{index.html1}" id="html1">
    <webuijsf:head binding="#{index.head1}" id="head1">
    <webuijsf:link binding="#{index.link1}" id="link1" url="/resources/stylesheet.css"/>
    </webuijsf:head>
    <webuijsf:body binding="#{index.body1}" id="body1" style="-rave-layout: grid">
    <webuijsf:form binding="#{index.form1}" id="form1">
    <webuijsf:staticText binding="#{index.staticText1}" id="staticText1" style="position: absolute; left: 144px; top: 72px" text="Enter user name:"/>
    <webuijsf:staticText binding="#{index.staticText2}" id="staticText2" text="Enter password:" />
    <h:inputText binding="#{user.name}" id="txtUsername" />
    <h:inputText binding="#{user.password}" id="txtPass" />
    <h:commandButton action="login" binding="#{index.btnLogin}" id="btnLogin" value="Log in"/>
    <h:inputText binding="#{index.txtUsername}" id="txtUsername"/>
    <h:inputText binding="#{index.txtPass}" id="txtPass"/>
    </webuijsf:form>
    </webuijsf:body>
    </webuijsf:html>
    </webuijsf:page>
    </f:view>
    </jsp:root>
    The web application compiles and deploys with no problem. However, when I click the btnSubmit button, it does not redirect me to the page specified in the faces-config.xml file. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide.

    I'm not sure what you are trying to do here.
    Are you trying to map the commandButton's action="login" to your rule <from-outcome>login</from-outcome>?
    I think you want the commandButton to map to a method in your backing bean. E.g. action="#{bean.goToLogin}" .
    The method goToLogin() should then return the string, "login" . This will be caught by your navigation rule <from-outcome>.
    <from-outcome> maps to a specific string returned from a method called in that page.
    But in this case if you just want redirection, it should be easier just an outputLink pointing to login.jsp.
    Hope this helps!
