Please does anyone have any ideas on what i may be doing wrong?

You can have a personal domain name even though you publish to MobileMe. Find out about it here....
http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Domains.html
You can't give the URL to Google to find the HTML verification file is all. You have to give them the MobileMe URL.
When you publish to a server other than MobileMe using FTP, the root folder is the first level folder that contains all the files and folders for your website. Also, if you publish to a commercial hosting service, domain names become a lot easier as does the whole of search engine optimization.
MobileMe was designed for small personal websites and the facility to use a domain name was added in iWeb '08. Its not very satisfactory and creates a few problems. You can only have one domain name using Cname and the rest have to use masking which is a disaster as far as SEO goes.
Don't give up on iWeb - consider publishing to somewhere other than MobileMe! Find out why here...

  • Is there a way to include html link with applet?

    I am thinking of writing an applet that would be useful to others, which I would provide for free. In return I would want a link from the pages that use the applet. It is important that the link is search engine friendly, a pure href html link that will provide google page rank to me.
    Is there a way to include such a link with an applet so that it can't be removed?

    No. You can't force other sites to change their content.

  • How to include HTML link in BI Publisher Report?

    Hi,
    I am trying to include an HTML link in a BI Publisher report. But I get the HTML Code, not the link.
    I have put this in the Data Set SQL Query:
    select id_constancia, rfc, apellido_paterno, apellido_materno, nombre, e_mail_empleado,
    'a href="http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:'||ID_CONSTANCIA||'">CITA</a ' as liga_cita
    from geiq_constancias
    where entregada = '0' and sust_rh = '0'
    And I have included the field LIGA_CITA in the rtf template,
    But I get this in the HTML output:
    =======
    Please clic on the link below to log into the system:
    a href="http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:1183">CITA</a
    =========
    (I removed the beginning and ending '<''>' to prevent the text to be shown as a link)
    I have put the property "Make HTML output accessible" to TRUE in the report configuration, but nothing changes.
    Does anyone know how to make this work?
    Thanks.

    Hi Francisco,
    Note:
    your xml should only have
    <URL>http://dbxserver.dbxprts.com:7778/pls/apex/f?p=134:1:::NO::P1_ID_CONSTANCIA:1183</URL>
    Show me your sample XML , i can help you.
    What is your expected output ? PDF or HTML ?
    here it is.
    option1:
    If the XML data includes an element that contains a hyperlink , then you can use that element to create dynamic hyperlinks at runtime.
    a. insert hyperlink from word menu
    b. In the Type the file or Web page name field of the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, enter the following syntax:
    c. {ELEMENT_NAME_WHICH_HAS_URL_LINK}
    where ELEMENT_NAME_WHICH_HAS_URL_LINK is the xml data element name
    option2:
    create a form field, you can add it
    <fo:basic-link external-destination="http://www.google..com">
    <fo:inline text-decoration="underline">google Link</fo:inline>
    </fo:basic-link>
    or
    <fo:basic-link external-destination="{ELEMENT_NAME}">
    <fo:inline text-decoration="underline">google Link</fo:inline>

    or
    <fo:basic-link>
    <xsl:attribute name="external-destination"><xsl:value-of select="ELEMENT_URL"/>
    </xsl:attribute>
           <xsl:value-of select="LINK_NAME"/>

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Why does DW CC 2014.1 Fluid Grid load HTML file that contains Google Analytics Tracking Code script so slowly?

    I exclusively work in Fluid Grid since my site is a Responsive Web Design.  I'm having trouble with slow load time in DW CC 2014.1, when my file, as they all do of course, has the Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
    I'm on a Windows 8.1 using a Dell Precision M3800 Laptop with Memory 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 . Each of our site's 180 or so web pages, of course, has its Google Analytics Tracking Code script. It is placed, following Google instructions, as the last entry in the <head>.  Google Analytics does not instruct to place the script in the JS Folder with an scr to it, but rather in the <head>.  It takes up to one and a half or two minutes for DW CC 2014.1 to load the Google Analytics Tracking Code script .  That is, the grid does not show in Live View until finally analytics.js shows up in the Document Toolbar. A minute or two can add up when every page you load takes this long.  And, making new Fluid Grid pages, as is done, through the Save As command; every new page made you have to deal with the minute or two wait time since all those pages have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  Therefore, this time component alone, assuming I'm accessing and/or making 20 pages per week (and in our business this is easily the case) the math is that I'm wasting between 17 and 35 hours per year just with DW CC 2014.1 loading the much needed Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
    I have loaded HTML files that do not have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script as a test and those files load at the normal quick speed.
    Therefore, the new Chromium Embedded Framework browser engine has a serious load problem when it confronts an HTML5 file with a Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  Oddly, the prior DW CC 2014 version, with the old browser engine did not have this slow-load problem since I was loading these same files in that DW CC version up until October 8th or so.
    I think this new browser engine is a Google platform that apparently has a problem rendering or loading a Google Analytics Tracking Code script.  That makes no sense.
    Anyone else had this particular slow-load problem with DW CC 2014.1?
    Thanks.

    Wow.  That sure solved the slow-load problem, at least using your suggested snippet in a simple test HTML file.
    Per Google's instructions, I pasted the snippet before the closing </head> tag.  And, even in that positioning in the file; the file loaded at the speed (about one second) that it did prior to DW 2014.1.
    Two questions.
    Will this snippet provide the same tracking data as my current GA snippet?
    Because my current GA snippet is in about 200 web pages, can I retain the old snippet in most of them and place the new snippet in my approximately 5 main web pages as well as my templates so my new pages, as well as my main pages, have the new snippet.  That is, can I have both snippets (i.e. old snippet in earlier pages and new snippet in main pages and new pages to be made going forward) in my website at the same time?
    Of course I would not have both the old and new snippet in a web page at the same time.
    I greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide me on this issue and thank all of you in advance.
    I've provided code for both simple test files below.

  • What can I do if all HTML links refresh site instead of redirecting properly (FF only, HTML 1.0 Strict valid, no plugins) just after using autocompleted url?

    I was testing a XHTML 1.0 Strict valid website on my localhost. It had URL "http://localhost/visaita/tictactoe/Web/index.php?item_id=8&game_password=73|55fc84c0c432ad625a901caaa13108aa&chat_code=74|50b3b60c8be203.98819772#.ULO2EnC23XQ". If I click in URL field between 8 and ?. Then pres shift + end and delete the rest of URL, I get a drop down of suggestions. Then I press arrow left in my keyboard - suggestions dissappear. I press enter and my URL is immediately reset to initial one (with all arguments) even though I wanted to delete them. Server receives all the arguments, so this is not the case of a back-end redirection (tested).
    The most interesting effect is that after such refresh ALL HTML LINKS stop working. They refresh page instead of redirecting. Even if I click on a link redirecting to another domain, page still gets refreshed and not redirected. I see it as an obvious and serious bug which happens in very special conditions.
    All FF plugins and add-ons disabled. Tested in safe mode as well. One interesting fact is that this page is opened by a redirect from another page (JavaScript performs redirect), but the page where error happens does not contain any JavaScript redirection code. Error console is also empty.
    During these redirects FireBug (when enabled) displays interesting stuff. It shows that request without arguments is pending infinitely while immediately after it another request is launched with all unwanted arguments.
    Another interesting fact is that page is using late polling AJAX technique (not sure whether it has any impact).
    It seems that it is some caching bug.

    Autocompleted URL does not seem to be related in order to provoke the bug. If I press Esc and then immediately press on links, they all work fine. Without pressing Esc, if long polling is in action, all links redirect the same page. Long polling request happens for no longer that 2 minutes and then there is a 1 second JS delay before the next one. If links are pressed between calls, they work fine.
    The strange thing though is that my friend has prepared a simple script which is generating a long polling request and has a link to Google. This test works, so I am trying to understand whether there is any additional factor which is causing the problem. Perhaps it can be due to having redirects and 2 simultaneous long polling requests at the same time. Doing my best to understand the problem. Not sure what is happening although I am quite sure that problem is caused by the FF browser somehow. Tested everything back and forth.

  • HTML link to bookmark in pdf file

    Hi everyone,
    I use the following suffix on an html link in order to link to a specific page within a pdf file:  #page=15  This works but I need to know go one step further and link to a specific bookmark within the pdf. I use the following suffix to try to do this:  #bookmark name  The above syntax doesn't work because the bookmarks all have spaces in their names. Apparently it's supposed to work if I remove the spaces from the bookmark names but this isn't practical because I'm generating the pdf out of Indesign and the bookmarks in the resulting pdf are just a reflection of the table of contents in Indesign. I can't remove the spaces from the TOC entries just so that there's no spaces in the bookmarks in the pdf.
    So I need some sort of workaround and wondered if anyone would have any suggestions. Is there some acrobat script or any other solution to this problem?
    Really appreciate any help.

    Try %20 instead of spaces. HTML links are URL-encoded, and this is the usual translation of a single space, as for example can be seen in links in Google.
    If it works, you can automatically convert the bookmark name to URL format with the function encodeURI ("Every non-alphanumeric character is encoded as a percent escape").

  • Since the most recent update (yesterday), periodically I am redirected to random sites when I click on a link from a Google search.

    I opened Firefox yesterday morning, and it asked me to wait while it updated. When it was done, I was asked whether I wanted to enable "XUL Cache 1.0". It looked official enough, so I enabled it. Almost every time I clicked on a web link from a Google search, I was re-directed to websites like the Yellow Pages or a "Local Look-up" site. In desperation, I disabled the XUL cache extension, restarted Firefox, and things seemed fine. This morning and a couple times this afternoon however, I've been redirected to the wrong sites again. It isn't as prevalent as it was yesterday, but it is still there.

  • HTML link in a Java?

    Hya,
    How can create a HTML link in Java GUI, for example in a JLabel?

    I'm not quite sure but i think if you add addHyperlinkListener to the jlable it will be seen as a link.
    Have a look at this code example:

            JEditorPane editorPane = new JEditorPane(url);
            editorPane.setEditable(false);

  • HTML link, IE8

    Hi!
    I've made (with help) a flash which displays quotes from a txt file. Few of them are html links (<a href="... etc). It works without problem if I check it with Google Chrome, but IE8 won't open the links. I've no idea what could be the problem. Microsoft support just passed the question. Though I think it's browser related, I wondered if anybody had the same problem.

    With no offense.
    Anyone, idea?

  • Regular Expression to convert URI to HTML link tag

    I'm trying to create a method that takes an input string and converts any URIs found in the string to a html link tag.
    For example,
    String input = "This is a test string.  I like http://www.sun.com/ and think you should check out http://java.sun.com/"; The output should contain an html a tag for each URI and use the URI as the text as well.
    I need this for a blogging web app i'm working on.
    I tried a few things like
    import java.util.regex.*;
    import java.text.*;
    public class test
         public static void main(String[] args)
              final Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(\\sI\\n|^)(\\w+://[^\\s\\n]+)");
            final Matcher m = p.matcher(args[0]);
              System.out.println(args[0]);
              args[0] = m.replaceAll( "$1<a href=\"$2\">$2</a>");
              System.out.println(args[0]);
    }Any ideas? Something like this will match "http://www.apple.com/" but not a complex string. I've googled this quite a bit and I'm not very good with regular expressions.

    Couldn't get your posted regex to work on anything. Try this:public static void main(String[] args) {
        String input = "This is a test string.  I like http://www.sun.com/ and think you should check out http://java.sun.com/";
        final Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(\\s|^)(\\w+://\\S+)(\\s|$)");
        final Matcher m = p.matcher(input);
        input = m.replaceAll("$1<a href=\"$2\">$2</a>$3");
        System.out.println(input);
    }It should match any uri, however I recommend replacing \\w+ with a more concrete string like (?:(?:http)|(?:https)|(?:ftp)). Let me know if you have a uri that it doesn't match.

    *Very important question for our company!*
    I´m trying to optimize our web application( www.seb.de) for Safari browser.
    The problem is that Safari don´t display Struts <html:link> on the page. On the page should be a button "delete" at the right side.
    Button Code:

    newFlow="true"
    styleClass="a_delete"
    bundle="<%=SebMailBoxConstants.BUNDLESEBMAIL%>"
    titleKey="Delete"

    There is a styleClass "a_delete", which this button uses:

    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    width: 12px;
    padding-right: 12px;

      String text = rs.getString("text");
                    text2scan=text.split("[\n ]")
                    for(int i = 0; i < text2scan.length; i++){
                        String replacement = null;
                        String word = text2scan;
    log.info(word);
    if(word.indexOf(".com")!=-1){
    replacement="<a href=\""+word+"\">"+word+"</a>";
    text=text.replaceAll(word, replacement);
    text=text.replaceAll("www","http://www");
    text=text.replaceAll("http://http://","http://");
    text=text.replaceAll(">http://",">");
    Isn't this already implemented somewhere?
    Thanks
    Niklas

    Because I was semi interested by this issue, and how best to solve it, heres a quick and dirty example program.
    It does a very basic job, but should be pretty much equivalent to what you had originally.
    package mypackage;
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.BufferedWriter;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileReader;
    import java.io.FileWriter;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import java.io.StringReader;
    import java.io.StringWriter;
    import java.util.regex.Matcher;
    import java.util.regex.Pattern;
    public class RegexpMakeHyperlinks {
          * Loads a file into a StringBuffer
          * @param f File to read
          * @return StringBuffer with contents of text file.
          * @throws IOException
         public StringBuffer loadFile(File f) throws IOException {
            System.out.println("Reading file " + f.getAbsolutePath());
              BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(f));
              StringWriter sw = new StringWriter();
              PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(sw));
              String line = null;
              while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) {
                   pw.println(line);
              pw.flush();
              in.close();
              return sw.getBuffer();

              PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(f)));
              String line = null;
              while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) {
                   out.println(line);
              out.flush();

                   // add on the http:// if necessary
                   if (!href.startsWith("http://")) {
                        href = "http://" + href;
                   // add the new text into the output.
                   m.appendReplacement(result, "<a href=\"" + href + "\">" + href + "</a>");

              Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(http://)?www\\..*?.com\\b");
              Matcher m = p.matcher(text);
              while (m.find()) {
                   System.out.println("Found: " + m.group());
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              RegexpMakeHyperlinks hyper = new RegexpMakeHyperlinks();
              String[] testStrings = { "www.google.com", "www.myspace.net", "make sure you visit www.yahoo.com for details", "Two sites: http://www.java.com and http://www.javabeans.com" };
              for (int i = 0; i < testStrings.length; i++) {
                   hyper.matchLink(testStrings);
              System.out.println();
              System.out.println("----------------------------");
    System.out.println();
    File inFile = new File("makeHyperlinkTest.txt");
    File outFile = new File("makeHyperlinkTest.output");
    try{
    StringBuffer sb = hyper.loadFile(inFile);
    StringBuffer result = hyper.convertText(sb);
    hyper.writeToFile(outFile, result);
    catch(Exception e){
         System.out.println("Error " + e.getMessage());
         e.printStackTrace(System.out);
    And a test file makeHyperlinkTest.txt
    This file just contains plain text with hyperlinks to places like www.google.com and http://www.yahoo.com.
    The program I have written will convert these links like www.google.com into hyperlinks for displaying as html.
    Make sure you visit http://www.java.sun.com and read all about Java.
    And if I already have an <a href="www.google.com">Hyperlink</a> in this file it should leave it alone right?
