HTML Select element doesn't work in IOS8 UIWebView and PhoneGap
Local HTML pages in UIWebView containing or PhoneGap (Cordova) apps render the HTML select element on screen but it does not respond to clicks. The usual option picker does not pop up when these apps are run in iOS8.
The same apps work fine in iOS7 and below. Any insights?
I had the same issue with the ios 8 simulator. Unchecked Hardware>Keyboard>Connect hardware keyboard and the issue is solved!

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

AllterroIf your Macbook Pro (MBP) came preinstalled with OS X Lion (10.7), you can use Internet Recovery to reinstall it.
You will need an Internet connection.
Restart your Mac using Command+Option+R until you see a spinning globe. This will boot into Apple's server and load their Recovery HD.
From the OS X Utilities menu, select Reinstall OS X. You should see a Lion logo to the left of this option.
If your MBP came preinstalled with OS X Snow Leopard you will need the DVD and an external CD/DVD drive to use to install it.
You may also be able to put your MBP into Target Mode with another Mac running a version of OS X that is compatible with your MBP. From that other Mac download OS X from the App Store and point to your MBP (Target Mode) to install to. I've never tried this but it sounds like it might work. -

Firefox 33 HTML select elements do not display correctly
HTML form <select> elements do not display options correctly in Firefox 33.
For example:

should display a drop down with 5 elements (first one blank) but no elements at all are displayed.
The bounding box does not seem to be computed correctly so no options display.
I have observed this issue on multiple pages. These pages displayed correctly in older version of Firefox and they display correctly under IE. The problem occurs with no addons or additional themes installed. The problem does not occur in SafeMode so I suspect that it is theme related but the Default 33.0 theme is the only installed theme and it cannot be disabled outside of SafeMode. I tried installing and changing multiple themes without success. The problem persists after restarting Firefox and after rebooting the computer and even after uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.
I can supply a screen shot if needed.You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

ssince I updated my iPhone 5s to ios8 ive had nothing but problems...
first the the screen rotation is not working... Checked the settings and lock is off.... The wifi is intermittent, some times it works sometimes it doesn't....
the he iPhone is really slow now, like really labouring.... It hangs and crashes all the time.... I have to close apps down completely because they won't work from quick launch anymore.... Even writing this the phone is labouring.... It's like my old 48k spectrum.... I don't expect this from Apple and when you spend £400-500 on a phone you expect it to work and play propperly.... come on Apple you need to sort out this mess of a update.... Ios 7 was no bother......Same issue here... iphone5S 64GB. It's intermittent. Sometimes the rotation works fine, sometimes it doesn't, but most of the time it doesn't work.
The first time I figured out it wasn't working was when all newly-taken photos and videos were showing up in portrait mode though I always hold in landscape mode when photographing.
Rotation lock is disabled (tried toggling it on and off). Tried recalibrating the compass on a whim, no effect (although my compass seems to always require calibration when it's launched now).
This issue only started happening after upgrading to iOS8. I did a reset/restore through iTunes rather than an OTA upgrade.
UPDATE - power-cycling the phone seems to fix it temporarily. -
Multi-Select LOV doesn't work where 1
I have a form with 1 master & 2 detail blocks. Each of the detail blocks has an LOV, & I'd like both to use the multi-select LOV facility within Headstart. However, this doesn't work if there's > 1 multi-select LOV within the form, for these reasons -
1. If there's > 1 multi-select LOV, you have to include reusable module component qms_msel_lov_buttons for each. As this is reusable, you can't edit the name. Therefore you have duplicate block names, therefore generator discards the names specified in Des2K & uses default block names of MC0, MC1 etc.
2. Headstart code in qms$init_application sets the lov block prefix to ML_. At runtime, the form fails with FRM-40104: No such block: ML_MC1.
I can't see any way of influencing Des2k's choice of block name, short of copying the reusable component into a specific component. Is there any workaround in Headstart you can suggest, to make this facility work?Cheryl,

Just bought Pro X and under Tools>Content all items are grayed out. The Select object button doesn't work. Any ideas?
Good chance the PDF is secured. Try on another PDF that you make yourself just to be sure. You can also select the security properties of the PDF with ctrl-D. A last option my be that the PDF is archived (PDF/A) which does not allow many options such as editing..

Torch Select Button Doesn't Work with Keyboard Out
Hi there, need some help.
Just recently (2 wks) the middle select button has quit working on my torch when I have the keyboard extended. I can still scroll around the screen with it, but when I push it to "select" it does nothing. The button works normally when I have the keyboard put away so this seems like a software problem or setting I have wrong but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me crazy! Thanks.Please try if a clean reboot will fix it. Remove the battery while the device is ON, replace it after a few seconds and let it reboot itself. Let us know if this resoves the issue.

Are you using the built application on a different machine?
If so, you will need to install NI-VISA on the machine you are trying to use VISA.
Also, you probably want to right click on the control and "allow undefined names" so you can type in the visa resource names like "ASRL1::INSTR".
If you want to port over the aliases "COM1, COM2", etc then you can copy your visaconf.ini file (on a Windows 95 system: vxipnp >> win95 >> NIvisa >> visaconf.ini) into the same directory as your executable.
